Author Bio:
I have always enjoyed seeing the pencil traces on the paper and, later, the words appearing on the computer screen as my fingers ran over the keyboard. My mind is not designed to follow only one topic. Therefore, my stories will range from romance, erotica to psychological.

I enjoy a good story with an interesting twist. This is what I want to bring into my books. More often than not, my stories will accentuate certain moments and feelings because I believe that it’s never about the beginning of the journey, sometimes it’s not even about the end of it. It’s always about those moments when things inside get stirred up.

Everything has been written before, but not by me. Therefore, I invite you to read, enjoy and react.

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes by M. R. Noble

Karolina Dalca, Dark Eyes by M. R. Noble

Blindsided by an attack that destroys her home and blamed for murder, Karolina Dalca, a half-vampire, escapes, only to plunge into the magical societies from which she was sheltered.

Betrayed by those around her, she abandons her dreams of becoming an investigator and flees, trusting only herself. Her police internship would never prove more useful. Hoofing it through the wilderness, she makes it to her university dorm, disheveled but delightfully deflowered.

Enter a full vampire: one wielding dark magic and a ride out of Canada. A fugitive from the law, Karo complies with his demands to escape, unsure whether his requests are bewitched. She vows to clear her name and avenge her mother’s death, but Karo’s family secrets aren’t so easily left behind.

“This book grabs you by the throat and does not let go! A fast paced, enthralling journey through a hidden underworld of vampires, werewolves, and other beings of the night. Compared to the more stay-at-home-type of vampires and werewolves I know, these protagonists are pushed beyond the human limit. I Highly recommend you acquire this book and hole up somewhere safe for the ride.”—Stuart Rutherford, actor from WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS

“Fans of Kim Harrison will be drawn into the imagery of Noble’s first book of the Dark Eyes series. In between bouts of fighting and the intensity of paranormal, dark fantasy, there are moments of comedy that make this series opener a real page-turner.”—Booklist.

Coyote Alibi

About Coyote Alibi

“An enjoyably twisty mystery with appealing characters and a vivid setting” Kirkus Reviews
“The writing here is clever, crisp, and consistent.” Critic’s Report, Book Life
A Public Library Association 2019 regional award winner
2020 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards–Best Arizona Book
No-nonsense rookie paralegal Naomi Manymules pauses on a lakeside cliff to enjoy a moonlit moment and hears someone swimming far below. When something loudly shatters the quiet – firecrackers, maybe? – she heads for home. The next day she learns that a lifelong friend is now a prime murder suspect, because her sleazy, abusive husband has turned up naked and dead in a boat on the lake. When her friend can offer only a coyote as her alibi, the police aren’t inclined to look much further. Undaunted, Naomi and her new boss, Grant Carson, launch an investigation of their own. With wicked humor and a big helping of snark, they navigate through a colorful assortment of petty criminals, surly teenagers, prominent locals, likable polygamists, and a big-city mobster or two. It’s only a matter of time before they become targets themselves.

Meet the sleuths:
Naomi Manymules is bluffing her way into a new paralegal career. A divorced, thirty-something mom of two, she needs a steady job. She’s smart and feisty and knows just about everything that goes on in Sage Landing, so she is the perfect person to nudge a reluctant attorney into getting serious about practicing law.
Grant Carson is a cynical, handsomely scruffy ex-prosecutor who has escaped to a remote lakeside town. Until Naomi decided he would do otherwise, he was practicing just enough law to support the real passion of his life: his old yacht, the Deep Inn.
The Southwest setting is an important character, too:

Picture the enormous Grand Canyon and its many side canyons. Now fill it most of the way with blue water, and that’s what the remote lake next to Sage Landing looks like. The town itself is small and compact, perched on a red sandstone mesa between a mighty dam and the Navajo Nation. It’s a unique place that brings out whatever’s unique about everyone who shows up there.

It all adds up to a quirky, laugh-out-loud small-town mystery with suspense, sass, and suspects aplenty.
KIRKUS REVIEW
A would-be paralegal and her attorney boss take the case of a woman accused of murdering her unpopular husband in this novel.
In mid-1980s, Sage Landing, Arizona, is a tiny town hard by a Navajo reservation, the kind of place where everyone knows everybody else’s business. Thirty-something Navajo narrator Naomi Manymules is a divorced mother of two with “only half of a paralegal certificate,” the just-hired office assistant to attorney Grant Carson, a newcomer from Phoenix in his late 40s. Walking around late one night, Naomi unexpectedly becomes a witness to murder when she hears gunshots from the lake below. The next day, Willard Highsmith is found shot to death. Since he was “a crooked son of a bitch with lots of enemies,” possible suspects are many, beginning with his Navajo wife (and Naomi’s friend), Ellen, whom Willard mistreated. Naomi is sure that Ellen is innocent; her alibi makes sense—she drove the long way home after a coyote crossed her path to the east, a Navajo omen not to be ignored. When Ellen is arrested, Carson agrees to represent her. He and Naomi sift through clues, suspects, and complications, including an ever growing potential conflict-of-interest problem with other clients; out-of-town thugs; and personal attacks. Can Ellen’s coyote alibi hold up? Though set in a landscape similar to Tony Hillerman’s mysteries, this series opener by the husband and wife team of J. Burges and D. Burges (Graves Gate, 2003) takes a lighthearted approach while still honoring Navajo culture. That ethos is integral to the plot in large and small ways, whether Ellen’s alibi or how to conduct oneself during a job interview.

J. & D. Burges are an award-winning husband-and-wife writing team. Having lived for many years on the edge of the Navajo Nation, they write with cheerful authority about open spaces, big lakes, and the unique mix of cultures captured in their Sage Landing stories. Coyote Alibi is a Public Library Association 2019 regional winner in fiction.

Their mysteries are now hatched in a cottage in the woods near a lake. It’s a great place to plot light-hearted homicides, capers, scams, and other fictional mischief. When they’re not doing that or working out, they might be dancing a foxtrot or tango. There’s also some knitting and woodworking going on.

Micro-Humanity

About Micro-Humanity

Earth is overpopulated. Human beings are now too many. Years of technological progress across the board have decreed their almost exponential increase decade after decade. Any attempt made to curb growth has been in vain. Expansion into space has not delivered the desired results. Earth is exhausted and humanity on the verge of a near extinction. Thousands of hypotheses are made, thousands of solutions examined, thousands of researches are conducted and subsidized. Nothing is left out. Everything is examined. Even the most abstruse ideas and most imaginative conjectures are studied thoroughly. So, in this mess of ideas, in this swamp of thoughts the solution arises. The solution is as simple as absurd and yet apparently possible: shrinking the whole of humanity. An unknown path that once undertaken cannot be reversed but, although everyone keeps saying yes, are we sure that all the dangers have been taken into consideration?

Italian author starting to be translated in English/American. Writing bios makes me miserable, I don’t like talking about myself. However, what can I say, I’m a simple guy, I see a nice book, I read it, I have an idea or inspiration, I write it and most of the time discard it (and in the drawer it goes, which is pretty full by now). And I love to write in the trains and when it rains (which kind of helps as you can’t do much).

Author Bio:
Anu D. Misa is an author and illustrator of children’s stories. Besides her love of writing, illustrating and reading, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family. Anu is also an avid traveller and has been to more countries than she can count on her fingers and toes! While she enjoys these adventures, she always appreciates coming back to her home in Toronto, Canada. Travelling gives her insights into family life around the world and provides the sparks that result in many of her stories! Interestingly, English was not Anu’s first language and as a child learning through picture storybooks was so important to her, it left a lifelong impression. Anu has come a long way from those early years learning to read, graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and working in the field for many years, while always making time for her creative passions. Now she delights in the challenge of writing and illustrating stories that captivate children and adults alike. You can visit Anu online at www.booksbymisa.com
