A genie turned me to stone on my front porch. Funny thing, being a human garden gnome isn’t the worst thing to happen today.
A genie seeks to merge the magical and natural realms and release his tremendous power on the universe. His plan awakens the gifts of the three girls strong enough to stop him–on the first day of college. Talk about bad timing. Now, in addition to boys, midterms, and annoying big brothers, the girls have to deal with magical earworms, poison apples, and being the only ones powerful enough to save the hot professor. The girls struggle to balance the things that used to be important with their new reality and the constant threat of mortal danger. But their power alone won’t be enough to save them. Only a bond of sisterhood is enough to provide them with the strength they need to defeat their demons—both real and imagined.
Told in the voices of three diverse young women, The Chosen is a story about finding your own insignificant and altogether mighty place in the world—and doing it quickly, before that world ceases to exist.

As an Award Winning, Amazon International Bestselling and All-Star author, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. In 2013 I started a blog to showcase wonderful writers. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma’s Home was created.
My first novel, Emma’s Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love’s Series. Soon, other spin-off series came along and 8 of my books have made Amazon top 100 Bestselling books.
Gabe, from the Alvarez Security Series won Silver Medal and 5 Star Review by the 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
Honor Love was an award winning novel from the 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
Serial Love was an award finalist novel from the 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
Coming Home was awarded the 5 Star Review by the 2017 Reader’s Choice Awards.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I have just retired and look forward to more time with family and writing!
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 36 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
The Last 6 Weeks of Summer by R. Leonia Shea
About The Last 6 Weeks of Summer by R. Leonia Shea
Hollywood defector Angeline Kent just wants a little peace and quiet while she figures out what to do next. Mulligan’s Cove seems like the perfect place to take a break and plan her new life. Renting the beachfront mansion next door to Celebrity Chef Collin Landry’s bungalow could distract her from making plans for the rest of her independent life. Angeline is really only clear on one thing: in 6 weeks she will leave Mulligan’s Cove with a plan.
Collin Landry doesn’t date the local women. Mulligan’s Cove is a small town, so there’s no way to avoid an ex. Angeline Kent seems like the perfect compromise. She’s beautiful, famous, and she flirts with him shamelessly. The fact that she’s only staying a few weeks means she’s perfect for a casual sort of relationship – if Collin were the kind of man who liked such things and if she didn’t have the potential to ravage his entire life before she left.
More than the lobsters are steaming in Mulligan’s Cove as Angeline and Collin make the last 6 weeks of summer a memorable time of year.
This book will be discounted and available for .99 starting on Friday August 14th.

My optimism has saved me many times. In 2014, my life became chaotic. I spent the next four years in hospital rooms and at home caring for sick loved ones. I was never without my e-reader, and while we waited for tests or doctors, I read. Those books that I brought with me every day coupled with my optimism really saved me during the most stressful times of my life.
As a writer, my aim is to always bring the reader someplace special where they can escape whatever daily struggles they are facing. My writing takes me out of my daily life to all of the wonderful places that exist in my head, and I still feel like I’m accomplishing something besides daydreaming. So I have a few new imaginary friends I’d like you to meet and I’m going to catch up with a few old ones that I haven’t seen in a while.
I have degrees in Counseling and Education and if I’m not writing, I’m probably painting or gardening. In addition to being an author, I’m a pattern designer, artist, and dog-guardian. In fact, when one of my characters gets stuck in a challenging situation, I put the dog on her leash and we walk until my characters get themselves in order.

Sixteen-year-old Cassidy Jones takes pride in her perfect childhood. But at odds with the elaborate facade of their Victorian-style town, Petriville is in Earth’s orbit.
They are soon to return to Earth when a hologram appears to Cassidy—the handsome Earth survivor, Eric.
Petriville’s founder, however, has devious plans for her ‘chosen’ and these people are uninvited. More than that, single-minded Gina Petri is determined to succeed. And as such, all survivors must be enslaved or die.
TBR Pile Book Reviewers say:
Yes! This is exactly what I was in the mood for! I absolutely loved Cassidy. Loved her! She was a normal, considering they’re in space, girl. When the forced mating happens, I was outraged as she was. Eric seems so perfect. Too perfect, he had me suspicious. I really like how everything played out. The action, the romance, the twists. The details and world building were freaking fantastic!
I absolutely recommend reading The Renascent World, you will not be disappointed!

Find My Love
Roxanne’s Ghost, a complex ghost story of identical twin sisters’ love for the same man.
A nanny came for an interview. The day was Friday the 13th.
Dr. Ben Arnold is still grieving the death of his wife, but needs someone to care for his four-year- old autistic daughter. The last thing he wants is an insanely strong physical reaction to the nanny candidate. When she fell on top of him, no one could have foreseen the furor about to erupt over Weltevreden – no one except Ethel, Ben’s ancient housekeeper. Ben refuses to even consider Jessica James for the position.
Jess is determined to demonstrate to the very handsome yet very rude widower she is the perfect choice, no matter how much he scowls. She is the unseasonal storm to disrupt Ben’s life, and may be the balm he needs.
While strange happenings all around them defy common sense, Jess’ glimpses of a life long past add to the surreal quality of Ben’s estate. Unknown to her, it is the first anniversary of Roxanne, Ben’s wife’s death. The event brings his three oddball sisters-in-law, including Roxanne’s identical twin, to his home. They claim Roxanne isn’t dead after all, and intended to find her and bring her home. The twin, Millicent, in particular, isn’t happy with Jess being at Weltevreden…
Trouble is immanent, but only as far as Ethel allow…
Question is, if she isn’t dead, where is Roxanne?

It’s My Turn by Richard Marcott
About It’s My Turn by Richard Marcott
It’s My Turn
Synopsis
Fate gives Erika a second chance to build a new life after her ill-advised marriage to the cross-dressing church lady organist.
Erika Bauer, a 1971 graduate of Colombia Teacher’s College, reports to Cape May, NJ as the PE teacher and field hockey coach. Her restricted upbringing, boney six-foot frame, and unflattering looks have saddled her with low self-esteem. She has never had a date. She meets Arvid Amdahl, the Cape May music teacher for nine years, who lives at the same boarding house.
Arvid, raised by wealthy parents, dreams of following the classical music career of his father, Tobias, director of the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra. Their relationship is strained by Arvid’s slow progress in composing his own music.
Tobias schemes to build a performance venue in South Jersey, with Arvid as Creative Director, but tells him that a single thirty-one-year-old high school music teacher is not going to cut it in the classical music world.
Thrown together by school projects, Erika and Arvid become comfortably close friends. She invites him to share Christmas with her family. Arvid, a non-believer, declines, upsetting Erika and her domineering mother.
That spring, Erika and Arvid produce a highly acclaimed school musical. Goaded by his father in a phone call, Arvid reacts by proposing to Erika. Fearing this may be her only chance–she accepts. They both have married for the wrong reasons. Erika’s mother does not attend the wedding.

They are well accepted in Beech Mountain. Arvid is the church music director, Erika, a Deacon. Soon, however, Erika discovers that Arvid is a member of a secret cross-dressing poker group. Erika joins the Methodist church and meets young banker Roger Wellington.
Arvid is introduced to a new Church of the Good Life, a non-denominational, non-disciplined church in a nearby town. Arvid becomes the music director and a favorite of the youth group who invites him to their Halloween party. He attends dressed as Maude Fricket, a character played by TV comedian, Johnathan Winters. They dare him to play in drag at the regular Sunday service. He does. The congregation loves him. The cross-dressing church lady organist is born.
Isolated further by the church, Erika is removed from the Deacons, and shunned by the church and community. Arvid drops his symphony to composes a sonata for piano and string quartet. They perform at the Biltmore Mansion.
Arvid is devastated by a terrible review of his tribute performance. Two days later, he is killed when speeding car careens off the mountain. Arvid’s sister, Margaret, announces it in her moving eulogy at Arvid’s funeral, that Erika has established a foundation to fund support groups for wives of cross-dressers.
Alice engineers a physical and mental makeover to move Erika back into the mainstream of life. She dates Roger, takes him sailing, and he helps her open a boutique art store. They attend the opening in Cape May of the new Tammany Center for Performing Arts, where Erika dedicates a rehearsal hall in Arvid’s name, and endows a named musical scholarship for local high school students. Back in the graces of the community, she enjoys the life of a young wealthy widow, with an attentive soulmate, a successful art business, and a solid sense of personal achievement. She accepts Roger’s proposal. She renames her yacht It’s Our Turn.

“This is literature masquerading as a mystery. Carefully yet powerfully, Gerald Jones creates a small, stunning world in a tiny midwestern town, infusing each character with not just life but wit, charm and occasionally menace. This is the kind of writing one expects from John Irving or Jane Smiley.” – Marvin J. Wolf, author of the Rabbi Ben Mysteries, including A Scribe Dies in Brooklyn

About Beautiful Melody by K.E. Drake
An evil king, an enchanted wolf, and a plot that could bring the whole kingdom crashing down around her.
After the sudden and tragic loss of both of her parents, once a merchant’s daughter, Melody Prescott now works as a maid at the palace. Melody is taken in and adopted by the queen of the kingdom.
At the palace, she lives a quiet life until one day she discovers a plot that threatens to put the kingdom and her very life in danger.
From the scheming king, to the enchanted wolf that saved her life, to the masked man she met at the ball, Melody’s heart and her life are at risk as her quiet world becomes filled with danger and mystery.
Will Melody survive, or will the looming darkness conquer the kingdom?
Excerpt:
“Can I ask why you asked me to dance with you? Or is that information confidential?” His pale eyes sparkled as they searched her face.
“Why, because I haven’t noticed you participating in any of the dances this evening,” was Melody’s excuse.
She tried to keep from looking into his face, so she gazed beyond the ballroom to the gardens outside. The sun cast rays of warm light in through the windows, bathing the ballroom in orange light.
“You are a terrible liar, my lady.” He drew her attention back to him. He twirled her in a circle then brought her back to himself. “What is the real reason?”
Melody bit her lip, as if pained. She looked back over her shoulder and found the prince standing alone near the edge of the dance floor.
“Ah. Avoiding the prince, are we?”
Her gaze snapped back to the stranger. “Sir, that is not the reason-” she started.
“You don’t have to make excuses with me, Princess. I saw you talking to him right before you asked me to dance.”
Melody watched her partner with eyes narrowed as they moved in beat with the slow song. “Were you watching me?”
He considered her a moment before answering. “Only a little,” he admitted with a smile. “You’re quite intriguing. First you run away from a prince. Then I find you hiding out in the gardens, and you run away from me. Sometime later, to avoid dancing with the prince, you ask a perfect stranger to dance with you.” He quietly chuckled, and Melody’s cheeks heated as she stared at the buttons of his black shirt.
“What is your name, then?” she asked to cover up her embarrassment.
He only looked at her, and she tried again, “You said I asked a perfect stranger to dance. What, then, is your name, sir?”
A retelling of the classic tale Beauty and the Beast, Beautiful Melody is the first book in the Happily Ever After series. It can be read as part of the series or as a stand alone. Perfect for anyone who enjoys lighthearted fantasy and fairy tale adventures with clean romance and humor.

About Call Numbers – The Not So Quiet Life Of Librarians By Syntell Smith
Life is a book… and every person is a chapter.
Everything’s looking up for Robin Walker. It’s 1994 in New York City, and he’s been transferred downtown to the 58th Street Branch Library. Ready to move up the ladder, Robin is excited about the opportunities that await him.
But success, personal or professional, is as elusive as a first-edition rare book. Robin struggles with his strange new work environment as this motley crew of employees generates more drama than a runaway bestseller. He doesn’t know who to believe – or who to let in. And as potential romance mingles with devious machinations, there’s no telling where Robin’s story will go. All he knows is that he must see it through to the very last page.
Call Numbers is a captivating and multilayered adult drama. Through realistic dialogue and situations, author Syntell Smith has crafted a modern-day classic about the trials and tribulations of adulthood. Because a library is usually the last place you’d expect high drama, but for these characters…it’s long overdue.
