I volunteer with a few animal rescue groups throughout Las Vegas when time permits. Though not all of my books are for dog-lovers, most do have a dog making an appearance now and then. I enjoy writing about their antics and incorporate them in a few of my thrillers. In addition, I donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book to various animal rescue groups. Since 2010, I've written ten books consisting of five dog books, one inspirational book of quotes and four thrillers. I self-publish all of my books, create my own covers and format my own books. 32. Jellybean the Dragon by Elias Zapple - Elias Zapple was not born in 1922, as some would have you believe. His date of birth is not really relevant anyway. What is relevant is that he arose out of a tulip that was growing in some old granny's garden in Camberwell. How he got to be in a tulip is not really clear, nor is it clear how he got out of the tulip and years later wrote the smash hit musical, 'Love be a Stranger', which was an international flop. After that success, he went on to work as a 19th century Victorian chimney sweep where he was then inspired to write the acclaimed series of books entitled 'Duke & Michel'. It is believed the fumes from the chimneys did so much damage to Elias that it was a miracle he ever ate a cupcake again. Later, he time travelled back to the present and went on a series of trips to many foreign and distant lands. During these travels, Elias met and spoke to many interesting people, choosing to ignore all of them. He did, however, learn a couple of things. 1) The earth is flat and 2) You should never eat a banana when it's not ripe. Many questions are often asked by his adoring public. Are you human? How many chimpanzees can fit inside a fridge? What is that thing growing on the side of your head? To which Mr. Zapple has always smiled, turned away and swam off into the sunset, only once being bitten by an unfriendly shark. Elias Zapple continues to work towards the unification of Korea and writing children's stories that parents will spend huge sums of money on. He wishes everybody to know that every penny made from the books will go straight into his bank account, which he will then spend on a lavish, new tent.

34. Real Immortals - I'm a writer and member of the ACFW. I first started writing at age seventeen for my high school newspaper. My wife Nelly, has put up with me for 32-years. We live in Hidden Valley Lake just outside of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. My wife told me a few years ago to start using my time more wisely. I was traveling for work quite a bit during that time and spent many weeks away from home in hotel rooms. I had the story line for Real Immortals rolling around in my head, and it wouldn't go away. So I thought I would try to get it down on paper. A year and a half went by, and the manuscript was finished. Then the fun began. I thought the writing part was the hardest. RIGHT! The book went through two copy-edits, one complete re-write and much grammar edits before it was finally published on August 28, 2013. I only hope Immortal Vengeance goes quicker now that I have learned a few things. My family has been amazingly supportive. My son Trever was instrumental in the first book, and now he is a co-author for the second. My passion is to create a series of fantasy/fiction novels based on legendary biblical and fictitious characters and their direct intervention with the human race.
    
35. Mea Culpa The Sins of Brother Lyons - I've been a writer since I was eight and decided Readers Digest needed my stories. They were most kindly rejected. Never discouraged, I went on to Teen magazine and Seventeen magazine, also without much luck. I kept on going settling for a corporate career as well as a writing career which consisted of some copywriting and PR work. I penned a play that won awards, but didn't really like writing plays. I made it to the movie capital because writing screenplays is my true passion. Finally, it all came together. Along the way, I've written some delicious erotica. Some stories are based on dabbling in the world of the Dominatrix. I'll soon be publishing a series of short stories, The Erotic Primer and a novel, Confessions of a Race Dominatrix about a woman who played Dominatrix to the F1 and Indy Car auto racing world.     Born and raised in New York City, Margaret Fieland has lived in the Boston area since 1978. She is an avid science fiction fan, and selected Robert A. Heinlein's “Farmer in the Sky” for her tenth birthday, now long past. In spite of earning her living as a computer software engineer, she turned to one of her sons to put up the first version of her website, a clear indication of the computer generation gap. Thanks to her father's relentless hounding, she can still recite the rules for pronoun agreement in both English and French. She can also write backwards and wiggle her ears. During stints in advertising, children's media publishing, and education reform in the former Soviet Unions, she wrote whenever she could. Her love of early American history has its roots in family vacations up and down the East Coast visiting old forts and battlefields and places such as Williamsburg, Mystic Sea Port, and Sturbridge Village. At the same time, she daydreamed in history classes, imagining the everyday people behind all the dates and conflicts and how they lived.     Curiosity may have killed that feline fur ball, but she or him learned a lot before exiting number nine. I too have been curious, wondering why we, I or they acted this way, looked or did it that way or were otherwise human. But curiosity is such a casual word, and the truth is my desire to know was almost desperate. There were times in life that I felt angry when there was no one around, unhappy when life was just fine, times I had trouble with relationships for seemingly no reason, times I felt sad when…well, you get the idea. That desperate curiosity, along with forty years of inner work, has lead to some interesting answers and some surprising books. Also, I love talking with those courageous people who are going for a positive change, and I live to see that eye-widening moment of understanding. Besides curious, I am also a writer who began with a column in the San Jose Mercury News, nationally syndicated.     With a major in writings and communications, Renee Robinson has been writing since the age of 12. An element unique to Renee, is her ability to morph into various genres, from poet, to fiction,to children's books. However, being busy raising children and working fulltime forced Renee Robinson to push back her ambition to publish her works. Until 4 years ago, when she received the horrifying diagnosis of colon cancer. Only halfway through her first round of chemotherapy treatment, Renee lost her job as she was no longer able to work fulltime due to the chemo making her too ill to return to work. Instead of laying around feeling sorry for herself, Renee used this opportunity to write and to be published. She began with publishing a series of poetry books while working on a journal she created a new genre for called "Reality Reading". In this novel, author and reader, together fight cancer.     M.R. Polish was born in Idaho, a long, long, long, maybe not that long time ago.... Writing has always been there for her. Growing up, her mind was filled with stories, some she shared and others she filed away to write down later in life.
