  6. Bianca’s Adventures by Ana Gajic - Hello, my name is Ana, and I am from Belgrade. I love music so much that it is sometimes very difficult to resist talking in the singing mode :) What I don't like is when people try to guess my age, as they always think I am older than I actually am. So, I must be one of the few women that don't hide their age :) I am a freelance writer when the day starts, and when the day starts to feel sleepy I am a creative writer. So, I spend my days writing, and listening to music, both of which I find very relaxing. If only I could find those clothes with words all over them, I'd certainly wear them as I could wrap myself in words both metaphorically and literally :) I got to check Amazon for these out-of-fashion-but-suitable-for-me clothes :) I have published my first book "Bianca's Adventures", and I couldn't be happier about that. The book is about the girl called Bianca and her unique ideas and thoughts about the world. Her rich imagination and perception of the world are fun, but they also teach readers positive values. Although I am not a parent yet I know that parents also like to read a good book. "Bianca's Adventures" is a book that both children and parents can enjoy.

  11. MIHIRABALA - Formerly, prior to my father’s time, my forefathers were very famous. They were the landlords of our village then. Not a single leaf dared to shake without their permission. Such was their fame. With the passage of time, that renown had deteriorated and made us ordinary by the time of my birth. So I have been brought up in the surrounding of a lower middle-class family. There is nothing extraordinary in my educational qualification so as to make me boastful in that regard. I am, simply, a law graduate. Ten years back I have shifted my place of residence to the city of ‘CUTTACK’ to begin my law practice in the High-Court of our province and have been residing in this city since then. Though my law practice has no such charm, the city itself has a charm of its own which has induced me not to return back to my native village. Notwithstanding my ordinary upbringing, ordinary education and my failure in law practice, I am an avid reader of English literature since my childhood. The ordinariness of my life must have instilled in me this extraordinary reading habit. Place a book of any sort in my hand and I’ll forget the whole world instantly. This interest has encouraged me to go for writing a novel. “MIHIRABALA” is my debut novel. E-mail;- santoshkumardas19@gmail.com

  14. Wild Country - "Van Holt is King of the Spaghetti Western..." --Rarebird1 "I had a feeling that Van Holt... might actually be the successor to Zane Grey, a master Western storysmith, whose novels set the style of a generation." --Stern0 Van Holt wrote his first western when he was in high school and sent it to a literary agent, who soon returned it, saying it was too long but he would try to sell it if Holt would cut out 16,000 words. Young Holt couldn't bear to cut out any of his perfect western, so he threw it away and started writing another one. A draft notice interrupted his plans to become the next Zane Grey or Louis L'Amour. A tour of duty as an MP stationed in South Korea was pretty much the usual MP stuff except for the time he nabbed a North Korean spy and had to talk the dimwitted desk sergeant out of letting the guy go. A briefcase stuffed with drawings of U.S. aircraft and the like only caused the overstuffed lifer behind the counter to rub his fat face, blink his bewildered eyes, and start eating a big candy bar to console himself. Imagine Van Holt's surprise a few days later when he heard that same dumb sergeant telling a group of new admirers how he himself had caught the famous spy one day when he was on his way to the mess hall. Holt says there hasn't been too much excitement since he got out of the army, unless you count the time he was attacked by two mean young punks and shot one of them in the big toe. Holt believes what we need is punk control, not gun control. After traveling all over the West and Southwest in an aging Pontiac, Van Holt got tired of traveling the day he rolled into Tucson and he has been there ever since, still dreaming of becoming the next Zane Grey or Louis L'Amour when he grows up. Or maybe the next great mystery writer. He likes to write mysteries when he's not too busy writing westerns or eating Twinkies.

His latest book is the follow-up to his debut. ‘Lydia’s Golden Drum’ is a stand-alone fantasy adventure, drawing upon many legends and folktales, but with the distinctive spicy flavour of ‘The Arabian Nights’. 29. THE EAGLE’S COVENANT - Michael Parker was born in 1941 and educated in London and Portsmouth. He left school with no qualifications but a natural ‘bent’ for English, and it was this ability that set him on the path to writing. Michael has written for as long as he can remember, but not with the success he first coveted. His first novel, NORTH SLOPE was published by Macmillan in 1980. His following manuscript, HELL’S GATE was rejected and so began a saga that lasted twenty six years, but more of that later. Michael’s second novel, THE SHADOW OF THE WOLF, was published in 1984 by Robert Hale of London. It was to be many, many years of writing and rejections before he saw his third novel published in 2007. This was HELL’S GATE, the novel he had been trying to get accepted since 1980. Other books followed: THE EAGLE’S COVENANT in 2007 (Robert Hale). THE DEVIL’S TRINITY in 2008 (Robert Hale). In May 2009 THE THIRD SECRET (now available as ROSELLI’S GOLD in Kindle and paperback on Amazon). A COVERT WAR followed that in 2010, and in 2011, THE BOY FROM BERLIN was released, once again published by Robert Hale. It has now been published in North America and Canada in paperback by Harlequin Books. THE EAGLE’S COVENANT will be published by Harlequin Books in November 2013. Michael met his wife Pat when he was sixteen and she was fifteen. They married in 1960, have four sons, ten grandchildren and celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary in January 2010. Michael has worked as an office boy, a Merchant seaman, a plaster’s labourer, a deck hand, a cinema projectionist, an RAF Technician and a maintenance technician in the food industry. He has also worked in the Middle East. In 1997 Michael and Pat moved to Spain and settled on the Costa Blanca. Michael’s hobbies are Football, snooker, and keyboard. He is member of Torrevieja Christian Fellowship (TCF) along with his wife, and used to play keyboard there as a member of the Praise and Worship team. Michael has described his writing hobby as a ‘Sweet curse’. He says that the joy comes from writing a full length novel, living with it, creating the adventure, the characters, the excitement etc., but the curse comes from the number of rejections that are received from almost all the publishers and agents he contacts. But perseverance is the key word, which was the case with HELL’S GATE: twenty six years in trying.

His most prevalent creative pursuit is currently screenwriting. He's had a few short films produced, and his second feature-length film, KILLING HARPER, is currently a quarter-finalist for the 2013 Nicholl Fellowship -- the most prestigious screenwriting competition in the world.
  31. The Knight of Her Dreams by Jen Robyn - A good book is food for your imagination. When I was a child, my mother would create bedtime stories that I always looked forward to. In early school, they would give a topic and tell us to write something about it on big block paper. In high school, I wrote short stories to share with my friends, and even wrote a few novels. And in college, I was thrilled when a few poems and a short story I wrote were published by the Tyler Literary Review. Suffice it to say, writing has always been a part of me. From years of reading fantasy and romance novels, an idea came to me while on a car trip with my family. The thought of a girl unsuccessfully finding love, until one day she hears a voice say, "What if you were never destined to marry a man from Earth? Maybe your love will be found among the stars." I then wondered what would happen if such a man from another world did exist, surprising the girl to be the love she'd only dreamed of. And so the Dragons and Dreamphasers series was born. The story of Dominick and Julianna begins with "The Knight of Her Dreams," which takes place both on Earth and a hidden world of magic on the other side of the sun. They are two people from very different worlds who can only meet unconventionally, wishing to find a way to be brought together in reality. If only that was the only obstacle in the way. The story continues in "From Dream to Reality." Happy Reading!
