- Tom Grafton Vs. The Environmentalists by David Alexander Greentree - Tom Grafton is only partial based on reality. David Alexander Greentree did spend some time as an Infantry Officer in the Army Reserves but never served overseas. However, he did live in Japan for three years in between his two degrees.
David first studied a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Ancient Languages from the University of Melbourne. This degree fueled his love for debate and (logical) discussion of ideas.
After returning from Japan, David undertook a Bachelor of Planning and Design (Construction) again at the University of Melbourne, a career choice also followed by his fictional character Tom.
In his studies David has met up with many of the new guard of social progressives, characterized by their zeal for their particular ideology, whether it be Socialism, Environmentalism, Feminism, Theological Liberalism or any of the other Nietzsche / Marxist ideologies. David is not impressed and believes these ideologies are a false dream of utopia that will condemn millions of people to misery. With the help of Tom, he works to highlight the mistaken underlying beliefs and ultimate consequences of such views.
David has a boutique construction company in the hills of the Macedon Ranges north of Melbourne and writes on philosophy, theology and politics, when not deer hunting in the Alpine National Park.
- The Trestle - A spellbinding storyteller of high adventure, Ben has walked the Great Wall of China, hiked in Tibet, and climbed to 18,000 feet on Mt. Everest. And recently learned to surf in Hawaii.
Ben is active in SCBWI and a member of a local children's writing critique group. He is a former Marketing Manager for a major corporation and ran his own marketing consulting business. He started writing children's stories in 2008 and has written picture books, middle grade and young adult. Stories of adventure and wonder. Stories that inspire and educate, and, most of all, entertain.
Ben lives in Kentucky with his wife Lynda.
- A Dubious Position - I was born and raised on Eastern Long Island in the Westhampton area. My youth was full of adventures since we had miles of woods surrounding my home and we were near the ocean. I didn’t know until I reached college that most people didn’t have celebrities living nearby. The Hamptons are loaded with them. I considered myself an athlete and excelled in baseball. My goal was to play major league baseball, but a shoulder injury ended that dream.
I attended college at Suny Plattsburgh on an academic scholarship and I am a proud member of Theta Kappa Beta fraternity. My mother told people that I was an educated bum.
I moved to New York City in 1970. My degree was useless and I worked a variety of jobs including food service, bartending and recruiting models and secretaries. That was fun, but not much money. I eventually entered the business world.
My first real job was in the Consumer Products industry. I was hired by a major manufacturer of food products. They trained me to be an executive and also to believe that anything is possible. They exposed me to the broader world. After ten years my division was sold and I moved on to the car wax business in an executive position and started to travel to other countries increasing my knowledge base. Eventually I went to work for the huge conglomerate, where I became involved with trade organizations for consumer products companies. As the age of computers blossomed I became an expert in developing business for our customers and developed many trusted contacts in business. This resulted in my development of a consulting business.
My hobbies are golf, reading, writing, traveling, all sports, cooking and even a little gambling. I am an accomplished speaker and have been certificated in Behavior Modification, facilitation, and business organization. I studied business management at Hofstra university. In addition to owning a consulting business, I also started an English language school in China.
My basis philosophies are: History will repeat itself, we are products of our environment, knowledge is always the key and everyone deserves justice. They are reflected in my books. One more thing, I also believe that there are unexplainable phenomena in the world, like spirits and curses.
- Cowboy Heat – Sweeter Version - Sable's hometown will always be New Orleans. She loves the culture of Louisiana and it permeates everything she does. Now, she lives in the big state of Texas and like most southern women, she loves to cook southern food - especially Cajun and Tex-Mex. She also loves to research the supernatural, but shhhh don't tell anyone. Sable writes romance novels. She lives in New Orleans. She believes that her goal as a writer is to make her readers laugh with joy, cry in sympathy and fan themselves when they read the hot parts - ha! The worlds she creates in her books are ones where right prevails, love conquers all and holding out for a hero is not an impossible dream.
- Cleansing for Health, Vibrance and Fat Loss by Callie Nelson - Callie Nelson was born in Fort Worth, Texas and starting her writing career after coming out of a 10 year battle with an eating disorder and serious health issues that stoked her passion for health and fitness. She also created a strategy to revive a broken metabolism by synergistically combining ideas from many schools of thought.
- Love’s Naked Nature - Born in Springfield, Illinois and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Greg Bowdish has always wanted to write novels. In high school he discovered Lost and Beat Generation literature and the punk rock clubs of Atlanta where he found an ideological and cultural diversity that added a tremendous amount of fuel to that writing fire.
In the mid 1980's he attended University of Georgia where he found a whole new artistic culture in which to immerse himself. It was there in the halls of the English Department and the wild house parties and music clubs that he began to find a writing voice and started his first (yet still unfinished) novel. Bands like Pylon, R.E.M., The Method Actors, and The B52s provided the soundtrack to that place he most considers his hometown - Athens, Ga.
In the late 1990s he moved to Florida and within a few years had become a well-known fly angler and kayak fisherman, appearing at outdoor shows and getting a lot of recognition as an outdoor writer. In 2002, he started "Love's Naked Nature", a novel that would slowly marinate over the next decade as life at times made finding time to write extremely difficult. The story would be put away for over a year for more than a few times during that period. In 2010, Greg picked up the novel again - this time refusing to put it down until it was finished.
He now lives in Sarasota, Florida and is enjoying an all new small town music and art scene (this one close to the beach). When he is not writing, he enjoys reading, kayaking, cycling, nature, science, and an "occasional" trip to the pub.
Greg Bowdish has written over a hundred articles for various publications (mostly outdoor oriented), and is a BlueCat Screenplay Competition Semi-Finalist for the screenplay version of "Love's Naked Nature".
