Since then, he has graduated to backpacking with friends in the wilderness. When his job will allow, he hits the trail as often as possible. Over the years, he has researched and tested ways of lightening his pack. This long-time search has turned him into a Gram Weenie and he has become obsessed with obtaining the lightest pack possible.
He has offered some of the obsessive tips to other backpackers and the tips seemed to have been well received.

- Requiem (A Kate Redman Mystery) - Celina Grace was born sometime towards the end of the last century and wrote her first story, The Blue Ruby, at the age of seven. Although this early masterpiece was inexplicably ignored by the literary establishment, Celina persevered with her craft and a mere thirty years later, has published psychological thrillers The House on Fever Street and Lost Girls, and is author of The Kate Redman Mysteries. She lives in Bath, UK with her husband and sons.
- Ghost in the Machine - Ed James writes crime fiction, predominantly the Scott Cullen series of police procedurals set in Edinburgh and the surrounding Lothians. - Wolf’s Bane - Judith Post taught elementary education before she had two daughters, took a writing class, and got hooked on cooking, raising kids, and fudging stories. She now has paranormal novels and novellas available online.
- The Shipwreck - When she's not writing swashbuckling historical romances and playing medieval matchmaker, bestselling author Glynnis Campbell does voices for video games Diablo and Starcraft, sings in the all-girl band, The Pinups, and is the wife of a rock star. She does her best writing on cruise ships, in Scottish castles, on her husband's tour bus, and at her sunny California home. - Her Something Impetuous by Kim Hunt Harris - Kim Hunt Harris' first book was published in 1999 by Harlequin/Silhouette under the pen name Kim McKade. Now going the indie route, Kim loves the complete control she has over her books, as she puts it "I can publish it, and readers can decide for themselves if they like it or not. Love this new world of publishing! "When she’s not writing or making homemade hot pockets for her kids, Kim likes to ponder deep philosophical issues such as, “Should I grow my bangs out?” and “I wonder if it’s safe to eat that leftover tuna salad from last week? ”Kim is thrilled beyond all reason that she can get paid writing down her daydreams, and even more thrilled when someone actually spends their time reading them. Every time she sells a book she says a little prayer of gratitude. And that much is true.

- Along Came Neil by Linda Nelson - While in high school, Linda discovered her love for reading fantasy. It all began with the Tolkien Hobbit series. From there she found Ann McCaffrey's Dragon Riders of Pern. After that she couldn't stop reading fantasy.
After high school she moved from Massachusetts, where she grew up, to New Hampshire. That is where she raised her two now grown children. Her daughter blessed her with a granddaughter three years ago. These two children brought issues in to her life while they were in their teens, sparking her to begin writing Teen Contemporary. This was how the Wings from Ashes series came about.
But her love for fantasy is still strong, leading to her desire to write her fantasy series. Orgarlan Saga is her escape from reality series. She has had a lot of fun writing it too.
When Linda isn't writing, she likes being in her garden. She is also a knitter, crocheter, and a reader. The rest of her time is spent with her dog Julie, two cats - Sam and Gracie, and her pet laying hens.
She still lives in Southern New Hampshire.
- The Dreamwalker by Lillian Bishop and Constance Williams - Lillian and Constance, though living in on different continents, have been writing together for a good ten years now. Introduced through a mutual friend, they realized quickly their mutual love of the written word.
Lillian grew up in a small town in far northern United States. Passionate about books from a very young age, Lillian's mother discovered her preschool daughter could read when she found her reading aloud to her baby sister.
With a penchant for telling stories, Lillian put her own flair into childhood games. Instead of playing house, her dolls had murder mysteries. Instead of playing tag, she created elaborate plots for the neighborhood kids to enact, including space travel, entire societies of fictitious creatures, and post apocalyptic scenarios.
Her first book was written in the first grade, a tale of a skunk named "Skunky", and she hasn't stopped writing since.
Constance wrote her first book at the age of five. Written in crayon and bound together with string, it was most certainly not a best seller! It was, though, the start of a lifelong love of the written word.
These days, Constance spends some of her time at her perfectly normal day job on the English coast and the rest of her time exploring the mountains of her mind. The view is quite excellent in both places.
She has found that writing is a constant battle between herself and her cat as to who gets use of the keyboard. Apparently it makes a very comfortable bed.
- Superfood Salad Recipes (Healthy Cookbook Series) by Vesela Tabakova - Vesela Tabakova lives in a green heaven with her family of five, a crazy Jack Russell Terrier, some other dogs and all the birds in the world. Her passion is reading, cooking and preparing homemade beauty products for family and friends willing to experiment

His resume includes such occupations as salesman, waiter, blackjack and roulette dealer, movie extra, construction worker and carpet cleaner.

- Brother - I am the 45 year old owner of a media company based in Ireland. I have, in the distant past, written features for magazines, and I have also written three novels (mere apprentice pieces!) - my latest novel, Brother, is my fourth; and the first that I have had the confidence to publish.
- A BLIND EYE - John Henderson was born in Singleton, New South Wales. The family moved to the town of Yass soon afterwards where he spent his younger days before another move, this time to Sydney. John went to Manly Boys’ High School, represented the District in cricket and spent time surfing. He joined the Army in 1968 and toured Vietnam in 1969-70.
After a stint in the Commonwealth Public Service, and possessing a cynical sense of humour, John chose to write crime satire. The Simon Webster Fiascos represent an amusing and skeptical view of life and bureaucratic nonsense, as viewed by the author.
- Cross Cut - Born in the UK in the late eighties, Mal Rivers is your typical English guy who loves a good cuppa. When he isn't playing video games and watching the latest anime phenomenon, he writes mysteries with a twist.
He highly praises the works of Rex Stout, David Renwick and Gosho Aoyama.
Unlike the majority of writers, he doesn't live with dogs.
His first novel 'Black Light' was released in August 2012.
The follow up, 'First Light' was released in March 2013.
The first in the Kendra Ryder series, 'Cross Cut' was released in July 2013.
- Soul Ties - Lisa was born in the UK and she moved around Europe with her military family before completing a BA (Hons) in English at the University of Leeds. Her home is now in Perth, Australia with her husband and three children. Lisa has written since she was a child - moving from writing poems and short stories aged nine to writing novels in the last few years. With the encouragement of her family and local writers group, Lisa found the confidence to share her latest paranormal romance series with the world.
- Mind Demons - In September of 2003 my wife, Mary, and I moved aboard our 36-foot sailboat, Rough Draft. We sailed the boat from Minnesota to Mobile, Alabama where we lived for two years docked at a small marina. After rescuing and repairing our boat from Hurricane Katrina, we sailed to Florida where we spent three months living at a mooring in Key West. We have since lived on the boat and worked on my books while in Ft. Lauderdale, the Bahamas, and Cape Canaveral.
- Cutting Right to the Chase - I write crime novels and detective stories because I'm a snooper. I always have been, ever since I was a kid.
I'm from Sardinia and currently living in London, a city I really love. The only things I miss about Italy are my little dog and the bidet. Nothing else, as I'm able to prepare an outstanding pizza by myself... so problem solved!
The crime stories I write are in English because my main character, Chase Williams, is British, so I can't really do otherwise!
My main crime fiction benchmarks are Agatha Christie and George Simenon. I know, I know, they're old style and died ages ago, but what am I supposed to say? I've grown up reading them and always dreamt of joining the glorious Detection Club!
Two big passions rule my life: sports and reading.
I consider myself lucky because I need only a laptop, a Kindle and a road to run along to be happy. However, it's much better if there's also some good music!
I have a blog (and a fancy newsletter!) called Daily Pinner and I post about a number of different topics: I love telling stories about things that have happened to me or what I see everyday on the streets or come across online.
I'm also a Huffington Post Uk blogger and the OnRugby.it community manager, and I really enjoy it. I have a Master's in Sociology, after all.
