  6. Wind Warrior Novella - For the past twelve years, I have found a cathartic passion in artistic endeavors. I've tried my hand at painting (which ended when my "moon" was fondly compared to a 2-year-olds version of the Death Star) and woodworking (at which point I realized I should not be allowed around power tools), before finally settling on writing. Over the past decade my writing has gained a certain level of complexity and maturity, which is a direct result of my own maturing while serving in the United States Army. I'm now an Army Major with multiple combat and humanitarian deployments. I've found a balance in my writing between the realism of war (as seen in the Brink of Distinction series), difficulties of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (as seen in Rage), and the complexities of maintaining relationships (which is prevalent in all my writing). Jon Messenger (Born 1979 in London, England) serves as an United States Army Major in the Medical Service Corps. Since graduating from the University of Southern California in 2002, writing Science Fiction has remained his passion, a passion that has continued through two deployments to Iraq and a humanitarian relief mission to Haiti. Jon wrote the "Brink of Distinction" trilogy, of which "Burden of Sisyphus" is the first book, while serving a 16-month deployment in Baghdad, Iraq.

  12. FINNED (The Merworld Water Wars, Book One) by Sutton Shields - I'm a handbag-loving gal who LOVES to watch sports--football, baseball, basketball, NASCAR, you name it. I take being a fan very seriously. ;) One thing I love most is trying to make people smile, even if it means making a fool out of myself (trust me, my inner idiot is bound to make multiple appearances). I have a completely irrational fear of grasshoppers (and crickets), worry that piranha may secretly lurk in lakes, and try to find the bright side in everything, even if I annoy myself doing so. The random, silly, and possibly kind of really dorky me stuff: * BIG TIME Holiday person. My mom and I LOVE any and all holidays. I still strive to take over for Santa one day. ;) * I LOVE Christmas lights. I keep them nearby year-round...you know, for that little holiday-spirit-lifter moment. Just plug 'em in and feel the jolly take over. * Cannot clean out a pumpkin...it just seems so wrong, like de-stuffing a stuffed animal. * Enjoy spontaneously breaking into song in public places, particularly during Christmastime. *I apologize in advance*
  13. The Only Binge Eating Cure Which Works – By A Lover Of Cakes, Choclates And All Things Bad. - For over two decades I struggled with cravings and impulses which despite my effort best always beat me to eventually caving in. Although it is normal, it is not natural to be caught in a constant cycle of craving and impulses that drive us to seek food and binge eat. 17. Bravery kids book – Kitchi And The Mountain Fire - Quote from Rose: "With two children of my own, I must tell stories! Storytelling has been used as a teaching tool for centuries now. It's the best way to teach a child, knowing they will actually learn something. After all, life without stories would be boring, at least for a 6-year-old!" Rose McKey began writing as a teenager. By the age of thirty, writing had become her career. Most of her earlier works are animal-based, in both the fiction and non-fiction categories. However, her love for fantasy and adventure led her to produce further books in these genres. Storybook characters come to life in each adventure, helping children to better develop their morals and understanding of life.

  22. All My Love, Detrick - When I was a child my mother kept a black suitcase in our basement. She forbade me to look inside. Of course as we all know the way to spark a child's curiosity is to tell them they are forbidden to do or see a particular thing. One afternoon when my mother was out, I raced down stairs. Nobody was around so I opened the suitcase. Inside I found pictures and letters in a foreign language. Later that night I asked my mother what all of it meant. She told me that she was trying to protect me by keeping the suitcase out of my reach, but since I'd found it I might as well know that she and my father both lost their entire extended families in the Holocaust. So began my obsession with the Nazi occupation of Eastern Europe. Being that my father was Romany and my mother was Jewish, I had many aspects to research and much to learn. Finally, many years later...I wrote my first novel. It is set in this period. It comes to you, along with all of my work, from my heart, with love and hopes that someday there will be understanding and tolerance among all peoples. I thank you so much for your interest in my writing. Love, Blessings, Good Fortune, and as the Gypsies say Good Road to all of you,
