I love living in Cardiff because, for all its modernisation, there are still remnants of an old Victorian city. I love writing and base my stories in Cardiff because it has such character. When I can, I go out to the coast and take photographs, mind you, we have a lovely castle in the city centre and a fairytale one just on the outskirts, so when I feel I can’t write anything, I take a ramble to those locations and it clears my head. I suppose it was inevitable that some day I would write a novel. My teachers at school used to limit me to no more than ten pages. When I left school, I wrote short stories for magazines, and it paid my way through college. I am Gothic, I love the fashion, the architecture and the music. The club in my novel is real. When I was writing book one, I got all my club material and clientele from here, I wouldn’t have finished that section without it.

Like most authors, she has been writing most of her life and has dozens of books started. She just needs the time to finish them. 15. Andrew’s Claim to Fame - I always wanted to write children's books, but I didn't have the courage, time or right frame of mind. After I completed my first degree in Computer Engineering, I found myself creating children's software; teaching private lessons in all areas; and teaching children to swim, in both the first and second levels. As a result of working with kids, the connection to writing a book for children was a natural progression and I found myself writing many different stories about almost everything, and always left them in the desk drawer. When an idea pops into my head I ask these questions: Will a child want to read this book? Will a parent want to read this book to or with their child? Would this book make a parent or a child feel something? Is there something visual here that will hold the child's interest? Will a child see things in a different way after reading the book? If the answer to these questions is yes, then I know I'm on the right track. This is my first book to be published in a Kindle version; I hope that I will publish many more children's books, in the same genre soon.
