Where Awesome Book Readers Meet Awesome Writers

  1. Strange Metamorphosis by P. C. R. Monk - P.C.R. (Paul Colin Richard) Monk was born in Exmouth, Devon, grew up in the south east of England then spent over 20 years living in France with a 3-year stint in Spain. A qualified linguist, he worked for 9 years as a teacher then moved into the digital world where he has written various scripts and storyworlds for video game titles, and authored an interactive language learning course. Influenced by the works of naturalist Jean Henri Fabre, he has been an enthusiast of entomology for many years as well as a former resident of Villeneuve where his YA fantasy adventure story takes place. Monk now lives in England with his lovely French wife and their three young sons.
  2. The Golden Sword ~ #1 The Camelot Inheritance by Rosie Morgan - For many years I taught some great kids in some great, little schools. How many of you have an outdoor toilet, complete with complementary spider, in your school? Or maybe only two classes for everyone from 4 years to 11 years old? I taught in a school which had both those things, and I loved it. Now I'm writing stories and loving that too :) I live in Cornwall, UK, the setting for this series and the home of King Arthur. (So just maybe you'll find some Arthurian links creeping in.) Pete ( my husband ) and I have grown-up children and mini grandchildren. We share our house with two mad, attention-seeking cats and live a short drive from the sea. It's wonderful! For lots more about me, my books or Cornwall have a look at my blog. By the way, I've had some great reviews on the UK site and also from The Reading Cafe - Carmen wrote: Ms. Morgan is a talented writer...she keeps you entertained throughout. :)
  3. Neck wrinkles treatment and prevention - I managed an institute of natural/medical cosmetics for 35 years. I treated thousands of people using holistic methods, natural products and essential oils. I have been a cosmetology teacher, consultant and participated in professional panels worldwide. My experience and belief in natural products led me to establish NAPRO - marketing health and skin care natural products.
  4. 7 Keys to Becoming a Better Guitar Player - I've been playing guitar for longer than I care to remember! But the times I've spent playing guitar with friends, singing around a campfire, and eventually playing in church, have been some of the richest moments in my life. Music draws us together, and the right music lifts our hearts and souls higher, to a place that reminds us of who we truly are and where we are destined to be. I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old when I picked up my brother's abandoned nylon string guitar. I taught myself to play for a few years... and eventually started taking lessons from a private instructor when I was 15 years old. I went on to study music at a university and studied with two other instructors while I was there who were also very helpful... But I have to say that I wasted a lot of that time musically because I didn't really know how to LEARN the guitar. It took me a long time to figure out certain things during those years, even with the help of instructors along the way. And along the way, I finally figured out that there truly are KEYS to learning the guitar... keys that I wish I had known when I started. That's what the "7 Keys to Becoming a Better Guitar Player" is about. It's the result of a lot of hours of sweat and frustration that ultimately led to being able to play guitar and to understanding how to LEARN the guitar. My hope is that you'll take the time to read the "7 Keys" and take it to heart. You CAN learn to play guitar if you learn how to practice the guitar and learn how to make the time you spend with the guitar fruitful...
  5. RATS - Joe Klingler spent a decade in medical imaging research after completing an engineering Ph.D. during which he became fascinated with computers. Another decade developing Mac software for editing and special effects drew him to Silicon Valley and the art of storytelling. Along the way he became fascinated by the intricate interplay of people and the technology they choose to allow into their lives. RATS, his first novel, was inspired by the story of a young boy injured by leftover war ordnance. He currently resides in California.
  6. Concealed in the Shadows - Gabrielle Arrowsmith was born to her loving mother, father, and older brother on August 16th, 1988. She grew up in the small town of Ham Lake, MN enjoying reading, writing, playing soccer, acting in school plays, playing piano, and adventures with her brother and cousins. Gabrielle's high school years were very well-rounded and challenged her time management skills. She studied diligently, enabling her to graduate near the top of her class and earn an AP Scholar with Distinction recognition for her success in college-level courses and exams. She was seen as a leader in both the National Honor Society where she was elected vice president and on her soccer and track teams which each appointed her as captain. Between soccer and track seasons, Gabrielle acted in enough school theater productions to be inducted into the Thespian Society. During her senior year, she earned the Triple A award for performance in academics, athletics, and arts. From 2006-2009 Gabrielle attended the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She played collegiate soccer for the Saints, held two work-study positions, acted in three theater productions and volunteered often. She was on the Dean's List every semester and graduated summa cum laude. Since 2009, Gabrielle has enjoyed teaching third through sixth graders in various school settings. She has recently transitioned to substitute teaching in order to pursue her passion for storytelling through both writing and acting. She also continues to enjoy playing and coaching soccer.

He also repurposes famous quotes from people much smarter than him for his Amazon book descriptions. He plays guitar and does not like seafood, which about covers all the other important or interesting facts he has to share regarding his life.
  9. Lynna’s Rogue (Tropical Paradise Series, Book One) - Kitty Margo was a former hairstylist, secretary, seamstress and phlebotomist before venturing into the ranks of the self employed with a commercial cleaning company. This allowed her the free time to pursue writing. She has four books available now. She is a Twilight fanatic who frequently dreams of being bitten by Edward Cullen. Hey, he's a vampire so as far as she's concerned, the 30 year age difference doesn't even matter! Visit her at kittymargo.com.
  10. Soul Trade - Tracy Sharp grew up in a small mining town in Northern Ontario, Canada, where there wasn't much for her to do except dress warmly and write spooky stories to scare herself silly. Tracy now lives in Upstate NY with her family.
