Where Awesome Book Readers Meet Awesome Writers
- The Cyber Chronicles – Book I: Queen of Arlin, by TC Southwell - T. C. Southwell was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the Seychelles when she was a baby. She spent her formative years exploring the islands – mostly alone. Naturally, her imagination flourished and she developed a keen love of other worlds. The family travelled through Europe and Africa and, after the death of her father, settled in South Africa.
T. C. Southwell has written over thirty novels, ranging from fantasy and science fiction to romance and adventure, as well as five screenplays. Her hobbies include motorcycling, horse riding and art, and she is now a full-time writer.
- 21st Century Tactics: Small Business Marketing Series - Glyn Williams was born in Derbyshire UK in 1963. His father, brother and late grandfather were all entrepreneurs and businessmen.
For over 20 years worked in sales and marketing and as a radio personality until in 2012 he contracted 'High Grade Dysphonia', the closest you can get to vocal cancer. Laser surgery of the vocal chords followed which solved the problem but left him without his most basic sales tool in full working order.
Life with a diminished voice forced him to look at a new career that was not dependent on the use of the spoken word.
In a change of career he became a writer in 2013 and decided to share his knowledge of sales and marketing through books.
He has also been a highly respected foreign exchange currency speculator for 12 years.
He continues to live in Derbyshire with his wife Daphne.
- The Golden Goose of Los Angeles - I was born in Bountiful, Utah in 1979. My passion for writing began with Jacque Pennington, who taught me English as parts of speech in Middle School. By the age of seventeen, I had written my first full length feature film script. During that same time, I went on to win editor's choice awards for my poetry and was invited to the National Poet's Symposium in Washington DC at the age of eighteen.
I wrote another full length feature film at the age of eighteen and started writing novels shortly thereafter. As I have a very discerning taste, many of my first novels were cast into the trash as they didn't have enough clout to hold my interest.
In 2005 I started attending the University of Phoenix. I was fortunate enough to be mentored by Don Miles during that time. My career as an Internet Marketing Manager took off around this time and the novel Isiah's Skirmish was put on hold. In 2012, I was prompted to work extremely hard and finish the remaining 170 pages of Isiah's Skirmish as it had been near completion for many years.
I have strong respect for the works of: Michael Chrichton and John Grisham. My favorite Hollywood Films are: Spy Game, Crazy Stupid Love, The Usual Suspects, The Dark Knight, End of Watch, and The Incredibles. On Television, I enjoy: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Dexter, and Modern Family.
My current project is a Political Suspense Thriller and I hope you join me for the ride. It should be out by the Fall of 2013.
- Children’s book: The Teeth that Looked for a New Mouth: A Story of a Boy Who Didn’t Like to Brush his Teeth - Jill Jones has two passions in life: her children and her dogs.
The combination of her two passions in life led to the creation of a series of books titled Learn with Bruno, as well as other educational books for children.
Jill strongly believes that a great way for children to learn new things is by playing games and having fun, but most importantly, by letting kids use their imagination.
Enriching children's knowledge and opening their eyes to new and exciting discoveries is one of the main objectives in the stories of Jill's books.
- ALMOST AN ANGEL - Bobby Hutchinson is addicted to reading and writing. She published 55+ books with Harlequin, Dorchester, Leisure and Avon, and then became her own publisher on Amazon, Kobo, Smashwords, and Apple. She writes romance, memoir and children's books, and loves to hear from her readers.
- No Longer Needed - Brenda Grate was born in Santa Rosa, California, and has spent most of her life in Western Canada. She began writing as a teenager, writing mostly poetry and began her first novel in her early twenties while she raised four children.
Supporting other writers is important to Brenda. During her time as the President of the Interior Author's Group in Western Canada, she helped many other writers find their path toward publication.
"I've just concluded reading "Love Hurts" by Brenda Grate. Generally, I'm the type of reader that may bounce from book to book, perhaps reading as many as 3-4 books simultaneously. However, because the subject matter in this book was so intense, I set aside the others I was reading and read it exclusively. It took me longer than I normally take, as it has forced me to process some feelings and events which I am currently writing about, having to walk away from it from time to time in order to process what has transpired in my own life. When a book causes growth in a person, your time with it was not wasted and you come away being better than you were. I recommend this book to anyone wishing something of substance. It's a very good read, and it grabs you from start to finish." ~Reviewer
Brenda is an avid linguistics student. Along with English, she knows Sign Language, speaks Italian, Spanish, some French, and some Greek. She is currently working on improving her Italian.
She lives in Umbria, Italy with her husband, bestselling author, Jonas Saul, and their two lovely cats, Cianna and Bello.
Brenda and her husband travel Europe extensively to research their novels. They have lived for extended periods in Denmark, Italy, and Greece and have traveled to many other countries, including Hungary, The Netherlands, and Sweden. Brenda has enjoyed exploring many new places which she incorporates as settings in her books.
"I could not put this book down. I began it last night and I have spent the whole day reading it. The writing of the emotional scene was so intense as if the writer has actually lived the life of each character personally. The relationships between the characters rings like real people and the momentum of how one emotional event is the catalyst for the next made the whole book just storm along. It is such a complete book I am not sure how this could have a sequel - but I can hope!" ~Reviewer
