- A Collection Short Stories by Leanna Harrow From the Fun to the Fearsome - 2013-05-16 13:27:01-04
I grew up on the Central Coast of California where the beaches were pristine and the sunsets, spectacular. I attended the school of hard knocks as traditional schools had too many rules and regulations for me. I raised four children that turned out to be happy, healthy, productive members of society. Each of my children grew up to possess my independent spirit and headstrong ways but are all, awesome people. For all of my love, time and devotion, most of my children have repaid me with the ultimate gift, grandchildren. They are my favorite past time and at present, I have four of them. I am sure the future holds more of them for me ;) I am a simple person that is not interested in material possessions. I believe that a smile is the best accessory I can wear. I believe that random acts of kindness can change the world and do them every chance I get. I also try to learn something new every day. My life's dream is to start a charity that grants wishes for terminally ill adults. My hobbies include cooking huge meals for my extended family, a good game of billiards every now and then, reading a good book as well as writing one, listening to music as many hours a day as possible and people watching, especially men! I live somewhere in North Carolina and am VERY single!

- The Merry Crew - 2013-05-16 13:32:53-04
I am a twenty-five year old novelist based in Manchester. The Merry Crew is my first novel. It is set in London in 1815. The main themes of the book are performance, revolution and hedonism. It's a black comedy exploring the shady side of Georgian theatre. Although I explore some difficult territory, I believe that the book is moral, tender and relevant. If you like your historical fiction to be a bit kooky, The Merry Crew should be your kind of book. It is only 150 pages long and easy to follow. At present I am working on a Victorian thriller about spiritualism.

- I Was There, a true story by PM Johnson - 2013-05-16 13:34:31-04
I was born in Barbados and have lived there for most of my life, aside from two years at college in London, England, and two years in Guyana with my then husband in the early nineties. I now live with my wife and two cats who rule the roost (the cats that is). My wife is a Barbadian-born Canadian, and we do plan to move to Canada within the next few years - my mother is ailing and I’m much happier sticking around for now. I think I was born with the writing bug as I used to write short stories for my long suffering mother to read, but only published my first solo book, “I Was There”, in 2012. I am co-author for a series of ebook travel guides, “roam around”, the first of which was published in early 2012. I developed a passion for traveling and the outdoors at an early age and remember dreaming about skiing before I even knew what it really was. I eventually had my first lesson when I was 39 years old ... and was instantly hooked. Ski vacations became an annual event (some of which I did solo) and I organised several group trips to Europe, Canada and the US, but alas, I have not been near a ski mountain since 2000. I look forward to picking up where I left off once we have moved to Canada - more of that later. A book about my two years in Guyana is also on the horizon, plus one about my travel experiences in the Caribbean. I have recently published my first work of fiction as JP Murphy.
- Aggie Lichen; Pilp Collector Arty’s Revenge by Debra J Edwards - 2013-05-17 00:07:56-04
Debra J Edwards is a full time teacher and part time writer living in Surrey. She hopes that this will be reversed soon and this will then read; Debra J Edwards is a full time writer and part time teacher! Her series of Aggie Lichen books tell the story of a gang of feisty tooth fairies trying to save their world. They are both funny and ridiculous. I mean, teenage tooth fairies indeed. Based completely on the author's earlier work placement as a teenage tooth fairy, the stories convey an air of realism as the characters deal with bullying, sibling rivalry and, of course, good against evil! Debra is now working on her first YA book, a ghost story, 'The Curse'. She is currently working under cover as a ghost whisperer in order to bring something extra to her central character.
- Trophies by J Gunnar Grey - 2013-05-17 00:08:45-04
Hi, I'm Gunnar Grey. I write books. I'm a historian, political junkie, target shooter, and retired adventurer and equestrian. I read avidly and post reviews or at least ratings for most of the books I read. Occasionally my poor husband surfaces from beneath a pile of paperbacks gasping for air... but I shouldn't bore you with personal issues. I live in Humble, Texas, just north of Houston, with four parakeets, the aforementioned husband (who's even more entertaining than the birds), an orange betta fish with no manners, a fig tree, the lawn from the bad place, three armloads of potted plants, and a coffee maker that's likely the most important item we own.
- Salem - 2013-05-17 00:09:07-04

I hope someday to be able to start a fund for special needs adults and children, and also for cancer patients who would someday love to write a book or tell their story. I feel like everyone has a story to tell and should be able to do so. I currently live in Tennessee with my husband and kids.
- Faith, Hope & Miracles by Amber Leggette-Aldrich - 2013-05-17 00:09:24-04
As an artist, Amber has enjoyed sharing her unique creativity and working with others to bring more beauty into the world. A desire for adventure and love of nature brought her to Alaska in 1989, where she has lived out many of her childhood dreams. She has gone hiking on glaciers, climbed mountains, prospected for gold, raised wolf pups, fished with eagles, and has been chased by bears. (The part with bears was NOT a childhood dream though.) Her most challenging and rewarding role however, has been that of being a mother. She says, "Children don't come with instruction manuals. Sometimes you just have to make it up as you go along, and have lots of love and faith". Through joy, heartache, laughter and tears, Amber discovered a passion for writing to help and encourage others to enjoy the journey we call life. Her mission in life is to bring a message of hope...that we are not alone in our struggles, God is always with us. Amber has been a member of the Palmer Pentecostal Church for the past 11 years. She has also taught home bible studies for adults and children. She lives in Palmer, Alaska, with her youngest son Christian, where she is currently working on her 2nd book. - “Waking Up Naked” by Grant Handgis - 2013-05-17 00:18:41-04
The author began writing when he was twelve, having published a satirical quote in Boy's Life in 1960. Poetry followed a decade later while the author was married, and attending college, two indelible overlapping episodes of life which, together, offers up so many rich examples of clueless moments for satirical commentary. Having studied creative writing over several semesters during college years added to the author's notions of wanting to be a writer. Being life had other notions, the author first spent thirty years as a professional photographer, in various commercial roles. Photography also make for some excellent satirical stories. The author currently has six books in print, through his publishing brand Brother Coyote Publications, including two books of poetry, a fully illustrated children's book, the two memoirs which make up the fuller memoir, and a traveler's guide to Mexico. The next book in the writing queue is a work of fiction, introducing magical realism and connecting two events in history with one of the characters.
- Serendipity House by Joyce DeBacco - 2013-05-17 00:19:02-04
After reading women's fiction for many years, I finally decided to take the plunge and write my own stories. One of my books, Serendipity House, was named best indie romance for 2011 by Lynn of Red Adept Reviews. As the mother of four grown daughters, I'm familiar with the problems women face finding love, raising children, and stepping back when necessary. That's why family dynamics play a large part in all my books. Sibling rivalry, drug abuse among teens, and problems with spouses figure prominently in all my stories. Of course, there's always a touching love story threaded through the pages. Who doesn't love a good love story? I can be found most days secluded in my office creating new worlds and people to populate them. When I'm not taxing my brain with plot, structure, and grammar, I like to sew, particularly quilts. When I really want to rest my brain cells, I sprawl out in front of the TV and usually fall asleep.

- A PITCH FOR JUSTICE - 2013-05-17 03:37:09-04
I spent my formative years in Southwest Philadelphia where I played every inner-city baseball game imaginable to youngsters. I fell in love with the game and baseball. I moved to Cherry Hill NJ. and later attended Rutgers College.I followed that up with a masters degree in teaching. I taught high school in Glen Ridge(the alma mater of Tom Cruise) and subsequently Cherry Hill East(alma mater of Orel Hersheiser). I left teaching and went to law school and developed a love for criminal law.I was a prosecuting attorney for 30 years in Camden County N.J.where I handled literally thousands of cases including 25 murder trials.I worked in criminal defense for six years in the firm of Helmer, Conley, and Kasselman in Haddon Heights. Now I am currently semi-retired. I know both sides of the criminal system and respect the roles both play. This is my first novel and it combines my love of baseball and my passion for the criminal legal process. The impetus for the novel was the increasing violence in sports and specifically retaliation in baseball. I began to wonder whether there would ever be an incident so tragic in its consequences that it would lead to a criminal charge. In my book I examine how that process would occur, whether it would be warranted, and whether it would effect the game of baseball. I spend my time with my wife Robin in NJ and Sarasota Florida. I hope you will support me and other self-published authors by buying our book

- After The Ending by Lindsey Fairleigh and Lindsey Pogue - 2013-05-17 03:45:37-04
Lindsey Fairleigh lives her life with one foot in a book—as long as that book transports her to a magical world or bends the rules of science. Her novels, from post-apocalyptic to time travel and historical fantasy, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure and romance. When she’s not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time reading and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She lives in the Napa Valley with her loving husband and confused cats. Lindsey Pogue has always been a little creative. As a child she established a bug hospital on her elementary school soccer field, compiled books of collages as a teenager, and as an adult, she expresses herself through writing. Her novels are inspired by her observations of the world around her—whether she’s traveling, people watching, or hiking. When not plotting her next storyline or dreaming up new, brooding characters, Lindsey is wrapped in blankets watching her favorite action flicks or going on road trips with her own leading man.

- About Success: 32 THINGS YOU WISH YOU KNEW - 2013-05-17 06:45:27-04
Curiosity may have killed that feline fur ball, but she or him learned a lot before exiting number nine. I too have been curious, wondering why we, I or they acted this way, looked or did it that way or were otherwise human. But curiosity is such a casual word, and the truth is my desire to know was almost desperate. There were times in life that I felt angry when there was no one around, unhappy when life was just fine, times I had trouble with relationships for seemingly no reason, times I felt sad when…well, you get the idea. That desperate curiosity, along with forty years of inner work, has lead to some interesting answers and some surprising books. Besides curious, I am also a writer who began with a column in the San Jose Mercury News, nationally syndicated. My current project is this column and series of books, An Entertaining Collection of the Simplest Solutions. So from the central coast of the west, I submit these curious jottings of curiosity to be browsed by those who will hopefully find them as entertaining as they do just plain helpful.

- Eyes Behind Belligernece - 2013-05-17 07:26:47-04
I am fortunate to have been trained by one the top ten writing teachers in the US, the late Leonard Bishop, and author of 'Dare to be a Great Writer.' I owe my love of writing to him. When I had graduated Kansas State, I wrote historical book reviews for The Sunflower Press about the Japanese-Americans. In addition to writing, I draw, paint, create graphic design, compose music, and am an amateur photographer. I have been writing since childhood however I do have a B.A. in History. Instead of applying a degree in creative writing, I wanted to focus on learning and understanding what motivates people of certain time periods to make them do what they did. And there are so many stories! I also wanted to learn from our mistakes and am conscious of how we're all related to each other. My husband and I once owned a music store, a pizza delivery business, and several internet businesses. I also have dabbled with real estate and am grateful I got the heck out right before the crash! Sadly, history tends to repeat itself in important ways. Currently my family continues to live outside of Kansas City and will always have roots tied to Kansas. And to answer everyone's question: "No. Toto doesn't live here anymore. He is deceased and has been for a very long time."
