  1. Looking for La La by Ellie Campbell - 2013-05-09 18:28:15-04
Bio We are Lorraine Campbell and Pam Burks, two sisters separated by the Atlantic Ocean. We didn’t exactly set out to write together. Both of us were already established short story writers before all those long telephone conversations led to Ellie Campbell. We are equally passionate about writing, travel, horses, dogs, the outdoors, and although Pam now lives in Reigate, not far from London, with a husband, three children and a dog, while Lorraine is on a small Colorado ranch near wild and wonderful Boulder with husband, three horses, five cats, one dog and four chickens - we both believe in enjoying life to the fullest, be it digging up carrots in the allotment, listening to audio books while scooping manure in the corrals or going on a trail ride in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
  2. Finding that Ebook Gold - 2013-05-10 00:08:47-04

  3. Those Emotions: 21 THINGS YOU WISH YOU KNEW - 2013-05-10 01:14:55-04
Curiosity may have killed that feline fur ball, but she or him learned a lot before exiting number nine. I too have been curious, wondering why we, I or they acted this way, looked or did it that way or were otherwise human. But curiosity is such a casual word, and the truth is my desire to know was almost desperate. There were times in life that I felt angry when there was no one around, unhappy when life was just fine, times I had trouble with relationships for absolutely no reason, and I felt sad when…well, you get the idea. That desperate curiosity, along with forty years of inner work, has lead to some interesting answers. Besides curious, I am also a writer who began with a column in the San Jose Mercury News, nationally syndicated. My current project is this column and series of books, An Entertaining Treasure of the Simplest Solutions. I also love talking with those courageous people who are going for a positive change, and I live to see that eye-widening moment of understanding—the kind you will experience with this book. So from the Central Coast of the West, I submit these curious jottings of curiosity to be browsed by those who will hopefully find them as entertaining as they do helpful.
  4. The Binary Man - 2013-05-10 01:15:08-04
ABOUT ME I was born in 1980, leaving the splendour of Derbyshire for the Midlands at the age of five. I started writing when I was seven due to a love of Tolkien and have been writing ever since, studying English at university and thoroughly enjoying every moment. I currently live in Birmingham with my wife and two daughters, writing as much as I can in the darkness before they wake up. Coffee is both my friend and my enemy. I don't do moody black and white photos, I don't pay to enter vanity competitions, and I have no interest in investing hundreds of pounds just so a couple of people will think I'm 'bonafide'. I self proof or occasionally force my stuff on long suffering friends, so there may be one or two errors for which I apologise. I welcome criticism as I am always looking to get better. I just like writing and hope that one day I can support my family with it. If not, I'll just keep plugging away in the wee small hours for my own amusement. Either way, I'll be happy.

Valerie Harmon has published three children's picture e-books, and all three have hit the Best Seller in Category on Amazon! Valerie grew up with seven sisters and one brother on the outskirts of a small Oregon town of 1,000 people. Her childhood and teenage years were punctuated by living on exchange in Mexico City, attempting and failing at hurdles (she's barely 5'3"), and singing to win a student government election (a duet with her twin sister--it worked!). She moved on to college and decided to study English, because she LOVES to read. She had dabbled with writing as a teen, but it wasn't until her Junior year at university that she discovered a passion for writing. Valerie married, graduated from college and began her family. In between her focus as a mother, she edited other authors' books for publication and just wrote for herself. Currently, Valerie lives with her husband and six children, and she teaches writing and Shakespeare. When Valerie read aloud her first draft of The Snake Who Wanted To Be A Horse and it made her children laugh, she knew this was the project for her.

  18. Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love by Sebastian Cole - 2013-05-10 02:59:34-04
My debut novel, Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love, reflects over forty years of personal life experiences. Born and raised in New England, I joined my family’s business after graduating from Brown University in the 80s. A true romantic, my life is defined by following my heart and pursuing my dreams, which is why I have become a novelist. I write from the heart, believing in true love, love at first sight, and finding that one person in life you’re meant to be with. Sand Dollar was a finalist for the 2012 Book Of The Year Awards in the Romance category at ForeWord Reviews magazine, and it was also a finalist in the ForeWord Firsts debut literary competition for first-time authors. Also, the book was recently on the cover of Publishers Weekly (March 25th issue). Sand Dollar has a rating of 4.6 stars on Amazon with over 75 reviews and has been getting rave reviews, many of which compare me to my favorite author, Nicholas Sparks. Whether or not I ever achieve that kind of success, touching the lives of others through my writing has been the single most gratifying thing I’ve ever done in my life.

In her writing, Andi aims to bring the gift of reading to those who might have otherwise turned it aside, and she hopes her readers will embark on the most inspiring and exciting journey imaginable. On the fun side: I am an avid reader and book lover, and I am the proud owner of 4,861 books. Yes, you read that right. 4,861 actual books. I don’t do the e-book thing and refuse to own an e-reader, and I cannot walk into a bookstore without purchasing at least 4 books. Now that you all think I’m completely loony, I’ll tell you a bit more about myself. I am obsessed with elves and am genuinely distraught that they don’t exist. I listen to vinyl, particularly records from The Monkees, and my favorite drink is a large Jameson, neat. Up until recently, British Comedies were my main form of visual entertainment, but my two-year-old son has forced my husband and me to add Sesame Street to our repertoire. I am an avid ballet dancer, and I am convinced that if everyone took ballet, the world would be a much more joyous place. andi_oconnor@yahoo.com
  26. Jaz & Miguel - 2013-05-10 04:25:41-04
    R. D. Raven ("Rick") is a Luso-South-African living in Germany. Although always an artist and having tried just about every type of art and fine art by the time he was seventeen--painting, drawing, singing, acting, guitar, piano, sculpting--writing as a form of self-expression only came much later in life. Rick's favorite movies are comedies, romantic comedies and fantasies; although his favorite books take a darker turn into the chiller, dark-fantasy and science fiction genres. His favorite movie, bar none, is Avatar. When not writing, he makes a living as a computer-programmer with one leg in Germany and the other in the UK. He moved to Germany six months after meeting the love of his life on an internet dating site (before the boom of Facebook and other social networks). The two of them continue to live happily together since 2007. Rick believes this to be the perfect romantic story; but one he will never write. The pseudonym R. D. Raven was influenced, in part, by the poem, The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe.

  30. Forgiving Solomon Long - 2013-05-10 04:38:08-04
Here's the deal: When I was in the first grade, my life goal was that I would grow up to be Batman. Because I thought it was a vocation -- you know, policeman, fireman, Batman. Once my first grade teacher crushed the dreams of that little boy, I guess I decided I would do the next best thing and make up stories about Batman. And then somewhere after that I learned about things like "intellectual property" and "copyright law" and "cease and desist" and decided that I would have to make up stories about my own characters.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm in my writing, and for your honest reviews. I read all my emails and if you contact me via my website, I will write back.
