I started to write in August 2014, about something that is close to my heart… Africa. The mysteries the superstitions and all the beauty and treachery of the land. I hold my wife responsible for the road I am now travelling, as she was the driving force behind me in my Debut novel, Blood Moon over Africa.
Other novels that have been written and published are the follow up to Blood Moon over Africa which complete “The Blood Trilogy”. These two books are Blood Spoor in the Dark and Blood Demon-Revenge.
These books follow the adventures of Piet Van Zyl and form a series. Other books that have been written in this African Adventure series are Devil in Eden, Into the Darkness, Cry of the Fish Eagle. .
Three stand alone novels that have been written are Mask of Deceit which is a murder mystery. This has been published on Amazon and Smash words.. My latest stand alone novel, Fangs of Fury has been published on Amazon and Man in the Shadows which is a physiological thriller is waiting in the wings.
Other novels in the Piet van Zyl series are Shadow of the Leopard, Silent Hunter and Whispers in the Wind. These books have been edited and are waiting to be published.
I am now in the process of writing another Piet van Zyl adventure titled Savage Moon.

Paul Zunckel was born in 1957 in Zimbabwe, then known as Rhodesia. His family moved to South Africa in 1966, where he completed his schooling at Kingsway Senior High School in Amanzimtoti.

He did his two years National service in the South African Defense Force as an Ops Medic, wanting to follow his heart and study medicine, but life got in the way.

Paul was employed in Air Traffic Control for twenty years, and has been involved in Management positions for over twenty-five years. He has a Human Resource Management Diploma, and is an accredited Facilitator.

He started to write in August 2014, about something that is close to his heart… Africa. The mysteries, the superstitions, and all the beauty and treachery of the land. He holds his wife responsible for the road he is now traveling, as she was the driving force behind him in his Debut novel, Blood Moon over Africa. Since then, the stories line up to be told.

A lot of things can kill you in the Louisiana swamps, not the least of which are water moccasins, alligators, and maybe even something unworldly called a Rougarou. But as the body count rises in this jambalaya mystery, it becomes apparent that the increasing death toll is mostly due to some very bad villains and some very tough law enforcers.

Kristi is a young college graduate from West Texas recently hired and trained by the Treasury Department. While on the hunt for two of her colleagues, she manages to get herself assaulted and lost in the Atchafalaya Basin. Hawk is an ex-military combat vet now working for the United States Ranger Services. He’s asked by his old friend, the Parish Sheriff, to try to find Kristi. What he finds is not only the woman he’s looking for but also a hell of a lot of trouble. Together, Hawke and Kristi wind up in the middle of ruffians, counterfeiters, financial scalawags, and murderers. As they try to figure out what’s happening and why, while continually staying one step ahead of assassins, they begin to form a bond of respect, friendship, and perhaps even more.

Author Riley does a first-rate job of steeping the reader in the milieu of South Louisiana and Cajun mores. WHY I WRITE

When it comes to writing, I had no desire to be a writer. There came a point in all this studying and journaling when I came to the conclusion, “If I don’t write all these ideas and experiences down, my head is going to explode.” Not only that, my family and friends were sick of hearing me talk about all these ideas and spiritual experiences.

It became a “can’t not” decision. That idea is in my second book on passion and purpose. When it is something that you “can’t not” do, pay attention. Honestly most of the writing is the response to a series of questions. Many, many questions. As I say in my books, “I would venture to say that I am not the smartest guy in the room at a cocktail party, but I bet I’m one of the most curious.”

Some of the most compelling questions have to do with passion, power, purpose and pain. The big Ps. I discuss passion, purpose and power in my second book and pain in my third.

My first book, “Brave The Wave”, focuses on the “Authentic Self” and how we can move closer to the idea or the blueprint that God had in mind when he created us. True authenticity. Not the “best version” or a “better version of our self” because those bring something into the equation that tends to take us in the wrong direction. Our own personal opinion or the opinion of others.

I believe the “Authentic Self” is an ideal. It is objective. It is who God has in mind. Some people will say, “that’s easy. God wants us to be like Jesus. That’s it.” That is a great starting point and there is no question that there is no downside to emulating Jesus. But we are endowed with talents, experiences, passions and gifts that are distinct and unique. Unique to us as individuals.

Engaging all of these while striving to grow in our relationship to Jesus is the key to reaching our “Authentic Self”. The self we were created to be.

Along the way, we are going to have trials, troubles, obstacles and waves.

Hence, “Brave The Wave”.

Many can articulate and argue really well endlessly, but hardly anyone is always Alice in Wonderland. On the other hand, if recursion is consciously and energetically mastered, then you become the weaver of your own fate. You become a Tantric. “Tan” signifies “to loom or weave.” Tantra means “To Weave Your Destiny On Your Will.” Then no matter how wild things get (even on the cosmic level), within yourself, you will remain absolutely unfettered, untouched.

The meta symbol of Ouroboros is a universal morphism map that can encode and map almost anything and everything onto itself. It can unite many other maps by and onto itself. It can be extended infinitely. It puts the observer back into the dynamic reality that the observer infinitely participates in and further generates endlessly. It puts the modeler back into the infinite (undivided wholeness) reality that it always incompletely discerns, dissects, and models. It points to the unchanging unmoved mover that self-causes itself into infinite changing living manifestations and then participates (plays) with(in) them without being changed by them. In Yogic traditions, it encodes the most potent coiled serpent of Kundalini that magnifies in its explosive magnitude as it spirals upward through each iteration, the self-created cycle of Samsara, the self-negation of Nirvana, the self-sealing of Mahamudra, the self-knowledge of Veda, the self-unification of Yoga, the self-illumination of Atman, the self-reality of Brahman, the self-dancing movement of Shakti, the self-stilling-silencing dissolution of Shiva.

You can cut through your physical body cleanly into your energy body by using your razor-sharp awareness and deeply experience major chakras, especially the rare ones extending outside the frame of the physical body to have a subtle rotatory movement as depicted by the cover of the Infoboros. A chakra can be experienced to be continuously folding back upon itself. By continuously eating itself, it contains itself. It keeps itself still on one spot and prevents dispersion. But in every iteration, by eating itself, it also again triggers its reverberation. So, it keeps whirling on one spot like a whirlpool wheel. Hence, it is called chakra (wheel of energy). A chakra is an Infoboros of recursive energetic information. The Infoboros is a chakra of recursive semantic information.

In this brief life so far, Vidur Mishra has spent a lot of time doing nothing while doing quite a few decent things but none as marvelous as doing nothing. During the pandemic of 2020 that baby-shook the already distressed information-overloaded planet, he graduated with a B.S. in Information Sciences and Technology and a minor in Philosophy from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, Pennsylvania, USA. Well, it seems he is well equipped to jump in this uncertain sea of information. Not primarily because of his education. But because of his practice in meditation that allows him to discern signal from noise patiently—with compassion towards his fellow sentient beings.
