The creation stories of cultures worldwide relate that their progenitors came from the sky, the stars, or the heavens. Ancient Egyptian texts speak of their “bringers of knowledge” coming from Orion and Sirius. Native Americans recount that their antecedents were the “Sky People” or “Star People.” Throughout South America there exists a richly analogous storehouse of legends describing the arrival of “Star Beings.”
The builders of Teotihuacan describe their gods as having descended from the heavens. The pre-Tibetan culture, the Mayan, the pre-Incan, the Sumerian, and so many others, all express the same story in diverse symbolic languages—their “gods” came from the stars, bringing advanced knowledge and the gift of civilization. Many of these cultures were greatly separated both geographically and chronologically, yet their creation stories are strikingly similar and, in some cases, essentially identical.
The B’on theogony of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau’s ancient Zhang Zhung culture relates that their “king of the gods” arrived from the emptiness of space in a “resplendent jeweled egg” of “lha of bright light,” at which time “in the sky there appeared dazzling lights, melodious sounds in space, and many other wonderful occurrences.”
Are these ubiquitous traditions merely myths? Are they simply embellished legends passed down through generations beyond count? Or are they representative of some vaguely remembered and carefully preserved reality? Absent an ember, there can be no smoke; there is a kernel of truth in all such enduring creation stories and, especially in light of today’s astronomical knowledge, they cannot be easily, or wisely, dismissed.

I am a 60 year old white South African born male. The idea for this book started 42 years ago in my last year of high school. I grew up in Apartheid South Africa where our life’s were ruled by only two things. Apartheid and the church. The church was apartheid and apartheid was the church. You did not dare ask questions or doubt any of the two. In school we were trained and conditioned to serve because the apartheid state needed all white males to believe and obey both indoctrinations. There was paramilitary training for all boys in high school called “Kadette”. This was very similar to the Hitler youth training and then there was the religious classes and it was compulsory. I never questioned apartheid because as an Afrikaner to question what your grandfather and father stood for was unthinkable. I did decide that there was no way I was going to die for apartheid so when I was called up for the army I volunteered to work in the financial division. I was going to make sure all my trigger happy friends get paid, no blood guts and bullets’ for me. I had no intentions to shoot anybody and all I wanted was the same in return. Religion was a different story because here I was not up against the might of the state but only against the bible punching teacher. I hated being forced to go to church and to attend bible classes in school. One day in class I asked this religious fanatic, “Excuse me mam, who created the bible”? Sufficient to say all hell broke loose and I ended up in front of the headmaster, one Mr. Kriel, for a simple question like that. To make a long story short and for a reason I could never understand, Mr. Kriel gave me permission never to attend any religious classes anymore. I could go and sit in my history class while all my friends had to endure this endless brainwashing. Away from the sheep syndrome this free time gave me space to ponder my original question. Out of my own free will I opened the bible and started to study it and then one day it hit me like a bombshell. The bible is based on a lie! Over the years I made an effort to learn more and the more I learned, the better I understood what I was actually reading. The Adam Gene is the result of forty two years working to solve the riddle.
