I am a retired pharmacist with 42 years of experience and a Certified Immunizer. I grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast and learned to hunt and fish from my dad and grandfather in Luling, TX. After graduation, I attended the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in Austin. We have three children and six grandchildren.

I practiced pharmacy in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and worked for one year in Asheville, NC. After moving back to Texas in 1982, I practiced in Rockport, TX where I met my wife, Kitty. In 2022 we will have been married for 40 years. We moved to Austin, TX in 1983, and in 1994 we moved to Richmond, VA, and lived for 16 years. After moving back to Texas in 2006, we finally moved to San Angelo, TX, and I retired in 2013. We moved back to Virginia for three years and then moved back to Rockport.

I have been active, with my wife, as a short-term missionary to Thailand and Columbia. Our love of travel has taken us to London, Paris, Tokyo, New Mexico, N. Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and numerous other states. One of our vacations included a hot-air balloon ride in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While we lived in San Angelo, I taught Bible lessons in the Tom Green County jail for two years.

Most of my very active hobbies aren’t possible for me anymore. They included dirt motorcycles, a Harley Davidson Sport, baseball, and karate. With all of the private land in Texas and state laws about hunting and fishing, I don’t participate in these hobbies very much, but writing has become a newfound activity along with helping Kitty with her gardening.

I’m looking forward to what the future will bring, more writing and perhaps a new hobby or two.
