The Study: Reflections on a Life of Meaning by Jeric Sorrell
About The Study: Reflections on a Life of Meaning by Jeric Sorrell
“The significant part of my life had been wasted in the crippling hallucination that ‘there would always be tomorrow’.”
The Marine Veteran. The accomplished fitness-coach. The father. The lover. The college grad.
Jeric had achievements to speak of, but he was not on the cover of Time magazine. He was just like you.
He ate vegetables every day. He maintained a healthy weight. And as 43-year-old Tom Brady clinched his 7th Super Bowl victory in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jeric sat alone in the Emergency Room hoping for just one more conversation with his little girl.
“This morning, I thought I had another fifty years to live, but now I’m asking, ‘what are the last words I might leave my daughter with?”
As he watched the machines monitor his heart, and waited for advanced directive paperwork, he began to wonder if the most critical organ in his body would last through the day. He had to accept that tomorrow was not promised.
“If I live, I need to make every moment count.”
What if the same happened to you in this very moment? What if right now you had to face the fact that everything you had done up to this point was all you would ever do?
In his breakout publication, The Study, ICF Certified Life Coach Jeric Sorrell takes his gripping journey of successes and failures, panic attacks and accolades, and turns his personal lessons into a framework for self-transformation.
“The Study” is the blueprint for action and success that Jeric used to inspire the transformational journeys for thousands of people from all over the world.
At the end of each chapter, Jeric shares the exact tools that spark transformation deep within. Within this book, you hold the key to taking your life from mediocre to meaningful.
No matter where you are in life, on top of the world or just starting your new life, this book compels you to live with purpose in every moment you are given. Most importantly, this book compels you to consider one question;
If today were your last day, what would you do differently?

robby the rubber duck
About robby the rubber duck
This is a really neat story about a rubber duck named Robby that want to be a real duck. It’s pretty much a pinocchio story. Robby spends most of his time sitting on a windowsill watching the real ducks outside. He dreams of flying every day and every night. Since he is a rubber duck, he only really gets played with at bath time, so the other toys make fun of him (as you read in the excerpt above). This also gives him a lot of alone time to try to realize his dreams. He is a very brave and determined ducky. He even tries to convince an old stuffed owl who was once alive to teach him to fly only to be shot down. He doesn’t lose hope though. That is perhaps the underlying theme that kids should take away from the story. He holds on tight to his hope that some day he might fly. He doesn’t really wish to be a real duck, but rather to fly and a second (almost less important) hope is to have a mother to love him. He adores the boy who plays with him, but he is jealous of the boy having a mother to love him, kiss him goodnight, and read him stories. He never loses hope though.
Book DescriptionHTML
The sun shined down, reflecting off the water of the pond below. Robby the duck flapped his wings as hard as he could to gain a little extra altitude. The wind blew cold and fresh in his face, and the sun warmed his back. As he reached the peak of his climb, he slowed his wings, turning his beak down toward the ground that lay far below him. He then folded his wings in close to his body, leaving only the narrow edges of his wings extended into the wind. He lowered his head and started a steep dive, down through the clouds he flew. The wind roared in his ears, and he had to squeeze his eyes almost shut to protect them from the wind. In just a few seconds, he was moving very fast, sixty miles per hour, then seventy. The wind screamed like the fireworks at the Fourth of July; it was so loud it hurt his ears, and the ground grew closer at a frightening speed. Robby was a brave duck, but he knew ducks were not meant to fly at this…

But the regiment considers itself elite, both professionally and socially, and it has scant room for a rough diamond like Jack Adair. When a heroic act at Sandhurst propels Jack into the limelight, it looks as if his career might at last be on an upward trajectory, and soon he is being deployed on operations against Islamic State terrorists. His Rough Touch
About His Rough Touch
She hates my family & I’m falling for her.
A pretty local girl needs some help moving furniture for a clearance sale, and I was just being nice.
I didn’t realize she had serious hate toward my family. It’s almost comical.
Regardless, she’s got me trapped. Something about her leaves me willing to ignore the signs to run, and instead, I find myself wanting more and more time with her.
That time wasn’t supposed to include a tumble in the sheets, but it did.
One night was all I got. Then we went our separate ways.
I tried not to think about her too much, not until I heard she was pregnant.
Why wouldn’t she tell me about the little one?
There’s no choice but to make her mine, which was my desire in the first damn place.
She’s wrong about us Montgomery boys.
We may have a rough touch, but we have good hearts.
Time to take back what’s mine.

Yabadabadoit: You versus confidence – who wins?
About Yabadabadoit: You versus confidence – who wins?
Yabadabadoit is aimed at anyone who has lacked confidence and would like to learn how to become more confident in order to achieve their goals.
It’s is widely accepted that the human brain is wired to keep us safe. This is inherent from pre-historic times when there was real and present danger every time you stepped outside of your comfort zone (or your cave, as the case may have been all those years ago). As humanity has evolved, such dangers have too and whilst new dangers have surfaced, others are no longer present, but do we still act as though they are?
For many of us, our brains, thoughts, feelings and actions, particularly reactions, are still in protective mode, still working hard to keep us safe and warning us at every juncture to get back in our comfort zone quick!
But is your comfort zone really the best place to stay? If you have ever regretted not speaking up, not going for what you wanted or not putting yourself forward then Yabadabadoit could be the answer.
It offers a simple strategy to overcome doubt and strut out of your cave.
