Zeecé Lugo was born in Puerto Rico, grew up in Brooklyn, and lived in many places. She spent seven years in the U.S. Air force, taught for many years in Miami, and even spent a year working for the IRS.
Her early love was reading. The worlds of Pern, Middle-earth, St. Mary Mead, and Shrewsbury Abbey had an incredible influence and hold on her imagination.
She wrote her first novel, Daniel’s Fork, in two months, spending long hours at her task. T. Ellery Hodges was born in Sacramento, Ca in 1981. He moved to Seattle at nineteen and completed a Bachelors of Science at the University Of Washington.
Somewhere in high school he gravitated toward writing. Then he forced the unsuspecting students, who had made the mistake of taking creative writing in the same period, to endure the reading of his short stories.
In his twenties he worked in a laboratory performing drug trials, traveled most of Washington State fixing computers for Apple, sold gym memberships, and helped manage an international supply chain for a chemical distributor. Much like the rest of his generation, he found that he wasn’t well suited to doing any type of work for long.
In 2013, he brushed the metaphorical dust off the novel he’d been writing in his head for six years. He looked up the definition of ‘metaphorical’ because he was pretty sure that people who called themselves writers knew that one. He found that there was one thing he could endure doing for forty hours a week for the rest of his life.
There is a lesson in there about ignoring what you want to do for what you think you should do, but this is a autobiography not a lecture.

T. Jackson King (Tom) is a professional archaeologist and journalist. He writes hard science fiction, anthropological SciFi, dark fantasy/horror and contemporary fantasy/magic realism–but that didn’t happen until he was 38.
Before then, college years spent in Paris and in Tokyo led Tom into antiwar activism, hanging out with some Japanese hippies and learning how often governments lie to their citizens. The latter lesson led him and a college buddy to publish the Shinjuku Sutra English language underground tabloid in Japan in 1967. That was followed by helping shut down the University of Tennessee at Knoxville campus in 1968 and a bus trip to Washington D.C. for the Second March on Washington where thousands demanded an end to the Vietnam War.
Temporary sanity returned when Tom worked in a radiocarbon lab at UC Riverside and earned an MA degree in Archaeology from UCLA. His interests in ancient history, ancient cultures and journalism got him several government agency jobs that paid the bills, led him to roam the raw landscape of the Western United States, and helped him and his wife Leslee raise three kids.
A funny thing happened on the way to normality. By the time he was 38 and doing federal arky work in Colorado, Tom’s first novel STAR TRADERS was a stage play in his head that wouldn’t go away. So he wrote it down. It got rejected. His next novel was published as RETREAD SHOP (Warner Books, 1988). It was off to the writing races and Tom’s many voyages of imaginative discovery have led to 18 published novels, a book of poetry, and a conviction that when Humans reach the stars, we will find them crowded with space-going Aliens. We will be the New Kids On The Block! This theme appears in much of Tom’s short fiction and novel writing.
Tom lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA and hangs with a group of smart and tolerant Westerners. Divorce has taught him to smile a lot and to work at being a Nice Guy. Still, he is pretty weird. Has been since fourth grade when he began reading SciFi. Since then, he and Authority have rarely been in agreement.

His most recent two novels are both themed around the Holocaust and its long-lasting effects.
‘The Sugar Men’, is about an elderly woman who survived Bergen-Belsen as a child, and traces her as she revisits the scene later in life in an attempt to come to terms with her memories. It’s essentially a novel based on the short story ‘The Lucky One’.
‘Rosa’s Gold’ concerns a troubled young girl who stumbles upon the war memoirs of an old man who survived Auschwitz, and examines the effect his words have on her own life.
Ray hopes to write more thrillers and a third Holocaust novel in the future, but his next two novels will both be comedies, hopefully both released in 2015.

Over the past few years I’ve spent hundreds of hours reading on the subject of ‘how the mind works, when at work’, the ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ and the science of motivation based on the lives of famously prolific people (eg, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Stephen King etc).
There was a lot of fluff to wade through, and it took a long time. I soon realized WHY most typical ‘time management programs’ and day planners were totally useless for me…

I started making progress when I began to see the same patterns coming up, again and again, while sifting through scientific textbooks and autobiographies. Based on these, I eventually developed my own practical ‘system’ of productivity to get focused and motivated to get things done.
It’s based on learning new automatic habits, getting rid of bad habits, and identifying high value activities and focusing on them. Of course there’s more to it, but don’t worry. I’m going to show you everything.
