About Inoculated:
Orphaned twenty-four years before in an ambassadorial mission gone awry, and reared on a muddy planet at the galactic edge by the dominant species, giant paramecia known as Kziznvxrfn, Lydia observes with inoculated indifference as the nearby Gaean Empire crowns its new, ugly Empress. On a visit to nearby Theogony, she and her father Xsirh are stopped by Imperial Infection Control, their ship is inspected, and her father is detained. Their infection clearances have been revoked due to outbreaks of disease on nearby worlds. While she attempts to get him released, the detention center is surrounded by agents from the Imperial Bureau of Suspicion and Lydia is detained too. The lead agent, Doukas, finds that sending his captives back to the Gaean Capitol is stymied by the coronation itself, all travel prohibited. A contingent of Kziznvxrfn impersonating Imperial Secret Service agents purloins Lydia and Xsirh from Imperial custody and smuggles them back to the Kziznvxrfn homeworld. As the new Empress is crowned, her father’s mate Ezra attempts to stop the coronation, his investigation of Lydia’s heritage having turned up information that indicates she is far more than an ambassador’s daughter. En route home, Lydia discovers they’re dissident Kziznvxrfn bent on inciting Homo sapiens to war. She commandeers the vessel and turns them in to the Supreme Leader, who tells her some of the information discovered by Ezra. Returning home, Lydia is recaptured by IBS Agent Doukas and taken to Lucina IX while Imperial forces gather in the skies above Kziznvxrz. Doukas is injured in orbit above Lucina IX. Lydia takes him directly to the hospital on Lucina IX and turns herself in to the authorities, determined to stop the attack on her homeworld. The IBS Commander at the Lucina IX outpost, Colonel Melanctha Remes, decides to take Lydia to Gaea herself, the young woman reminding the Colonel of a childhood friend. Multiple attempts are made to intercept their ship en route to Gaea. The Colonel increasingly suspicious, Lydia tries to discover why her fellow Homo sapiens are going to such great efforts to keep her from getting to Gaea. As mysteries about Lydia’s birth and early childhood continue to mount, disease descends on planet after planet, each with one thing in common—Lydia has visited each one of them. The mystery of Lydia’s heritage deepens after they arrive on Gaea. As they retrace Ezra’s steps, a contagion begins to spread across the Empire, and Lydia is accused of being its Typhoid Mary. After graduating college from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Business Administration in 1996, he worked many years in various industries (i.e.restaurant, hospitality, sales). When J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.

I’m a registered holistic and nutritional practitioner that practices mainly in the realm of sports nutrition and diet/nutritional programs.
I decided to study holistic nutrition and alternative medicine because there are always several ways to treat something as opposed to the traditional medical system. I follow many pioneers in the world of holistic nutrition that everyone should check out. David Wolfe, Gabriel Cousins, Andrew Weil, Linus Pauling, Bernard Jensen are just some of them any people that have influenced this movement.
I encourage everybody to try something new as many times in their life without taking it too seriously, or thinking about it too much. This can be as simple as trying a new hobby or sport, or something major like a career change.
A good major decision was changing careers. While this is in the works, I don’t regret taking that plunge, because if I didn’t, its uncertain as to how I would feel right now. Working in an office environment just became too repetitive, stressful, unfulfilling, and not rewarding like I thought it would be. It was the same old thing, I wasn’t helping people, and I wasn’t helping myself. With the economical shifts in the past decade, that made it unstable as I hopped from job to job.
My hobbies include fitness, hiking, working out at home, holistic workshops, food preparation, movies, reading, writing articles and guides, blogging, networking, floor hockey, dodge ball, touch football, and ultimate frisbee.

By referencing romanticism, grand-guignolesque black humour and symbolism, Junnar often creates work using creative game tactics, but these are never permissive. Play is a serious matter: during the game, different rules apply than in everyday life and even everyday objects undergo transubstantiation.
His conceptual artworks demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits and often tells a story about the effects of global cultural interaction over the latter half of the twentieth century. It challenges the binaries we continually reconstruct between Self and Other, between our own ‘cannibal’ and ‘civilized’ selves. By taking daily life as subject matter while commenting on the everyday aesthetic of middle class values, his works references post-colonial theory as well as the avant-garde or the post-modern and the left-wing democratic movement as a form of resistance against the logic of the capitalist market system.
His works are often classified as part of the new romantic movement because of the desire for the local in the unfolding globalized world. However, this reference is not intentional, as this kind of art is part of the collective memory. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, he creates work through labour-intensive processes which can be seen explicitly as a personal exorcism ritual. They are inspired by a nineteenth-century tradition of works, in which an ideal of ‘Fulfilled Absence’ was seen as the pinnacle.
His works are characterised by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere of middleclass mentality in which recognition plays an important role. By demonstrating the omnipresent lingering of a ‘corporate world’, he wants to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation.
His works appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory always play a key role. Junnar Palacio currently lives and works in Manila, Philippines.
