The first story I ever wrote was Sonic the Hedgehog fan-fiction at the tender age of eight.As a tomboy, I spent hours watching boys play video games during play dates. To include myself in their world of buttons and power-ups, I’d ask incessant questions about the characters, worlds, and storyline. I got the bright idea to bring a notebook when their answers became so intricate with rules and plotholes.
This caught the attention of my future partner in crime, B.W., who tore his eyes from the TV and asked me why I had a notebook. When I told him my plans to document and fill in the missing pieces to the storylines, he asked me if he could illustrate them.
Of course I said yes.
The next day, I tore the perforated sides off our first scan-copied story and stapled the top corner. Then I knocked on all the doors in my neighborhood asking if I could sit down and read it to them.
It didn’t take long before my neighbors started asking for sequel copies right off the press. We sold so well, we started charging snacks during our readings.
At this point, I was a renowned businesswoman on the playground. I’d walk laps with B.W., plotting Sonic’s adventures for the next month’s edition. But all the fun came to a screeching halt when B.W. moved three states away. I vowed never to write another Sonic word without him and I didn’t.
I turned to poetry, as every teenage writer does. Don’t worry, I was awful at it. Then I turned to essays and reviews, where I formed the opinions on social issues I stand behind today. But it wasn’t until college when I took everyone’s advice and wrote my first novel.
Now, seven novels later, I’ve decided to start peddling the block again and publish my young adult novel, UNFORTUNATES I am proud to share my work, even if I don’t get cookies and milk with every read. I hope you enjoy them as much as me.

Si Page was born in Romford, Essex in 1970 and grew up with a love of football, films, frolicking and females (the priority of the four ‘F’s reversed during his teenage years).After attending three different senior schools, Si decided that it was a waste of time turning up for his GCE exams and bunked off to head for the workplace as a carpet fitter where he found the YTS scheme waiting with no more than twenty-something quid a week and a clip round the ear for cutting carpet ‘very wonky’.
Si describes the next ten years of his working life in grim fashion: ‘I worked as a telesales ‘thingy’ (ew), vending machine salesman (spit), insurance clerk (snore), debt collector (ouch), recruitment consultant (I liked that one) and a mortgage broker (I worked for sharks and didn’t last long).’
Things were soon to change drastically in 1996, when Si decided to become a ‘real’ student and study for a B.A. Hons. Theology Degree somewhere outside of Essex, in a strange land called ‘The North’. Things were reportedly so bad ‘oop North’, that Si expected to be living among whippet-racing peasants dressed in shell suits, living off a diet of mushy peas. Oh, and statistically, Northerners tend to have a habit of dying much younger.
Si was concerned about something called the North-South divide and mistook it for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, where he believed that pollution due to population density must have been the reason for poor health amongst Northerners and not just the mushy peas.
After a car journey up the M6 motorway to a grassy dwelling called Cheshire, Si survived three years of student life and the carcass served up in the college canteen. He finished his degree in 1999 and until 2007 he worked as a Reverend in the North West of England – Merseyside and Lancashire. Si planned that amongst more sophisticated company, he would say that he resided a few miles away from two world class golfing resorts – the first near Royal Birkdale, and the second, a few cosy miles from Royal Lytham.
Simon has since been involved in a number of creative projects, including an Oscar-nominated short film called ‘Most’ and patented a new invention with a good friend. He has also launched a number of businesses and of course, written several hilarious books. The first was a comedy novel, called ‘Missing Gretyl’ (also a screenplay) and the second, a parody and satirical work on David Cameron, called ‘The Inside Scoop: The Secret Journal of a Prime Minister.’
Si is working on three books at present, from the sequel to Missing Gretyl, a Billy Elliott-type adventure called ‘The Collar’ and more recently, a story of literary fiction called ‘No Idea’.
Si has two lovely boys called Ruben and Freddie and has been married for nearly eighteen years to a beautiful lady called Solana, who prior to meeting Si, enjoyed the full use of her mental faculties.
Totally dedicated to writing these days, Si has taken his classroom humour, workplace banter and on a more serious note, life skills from the pastorate, to write funny, challenging and original drama.

This is a futuristic tale of how law enforcement works in a darker society. It tells of how the bounty hunters are at the top of the food chain, and what methods they use to capture the more elite criminals.
The corporation Dyna-Techor experimented, and created the perfect humanoids. The seven creations turned on the scientists, and murdered them. They became fugitives, The corporation wanted their prodigal experiments back.
They contracted The Hunter’s Guild to retrieve them. The guild dealt with the more extreme criminals, and Drakx Slazakohn was sent to retrieve them.
Drakx was an experienced, hard boiled Hunter that only brought criminals back one way, dead.
He acquired, and killed all six of the males, but was very surprised that his last contract was female.
Her name was Sensus, and she was very different from the men. She was enhanced. Drakx felt her enhancements when she killed him seven times. That was when things got interesting.
Drakx worked at the guild for years, but how he works for a higher power to retrieve the male souls Sensus brought back. They were called the DNAccidents. His reward for capture was life again, but failure meant eternal pain from perpetual death.
Along with a woman thrust into his life, he has to capture the DNAccidents or die trying, and his death would be perpetual in the forever category.

I spent my early childhood living near Kaptai, Bangladesh, when it was East Pakistan. Our neighbors were the Chakma hill people, most of whom lived without electricity and plumbing. My sense of “jungle reality” was then skewed by the US suburbs when our family returned to the States.My parents were adventurous travelers. Before I was six years old I had been around the world several times, including many remote locations off the beaten path for mainstream tourists. Those travels, and growing up watching slideshows highlighting the world’s diverse beauty, no doubt gave me a unique perspective on human spirituality.
Growing up nomadic, spanning cultures, also gave me a unique perspective on technology, science and even history. In college I learned that different people could read the same book and come away with very different interpretations of what an author intended to say or what really happened.
I have a BA from Reed College, and an MA from The University of Texas at Austin. I dabbled in Arabic for three years in grad school and work in Silicon Valley.

Someone asked me why I wrote The Deadly Caress. It’s what captured my attention at one time from a newspaper article and I started to get the what if’s going. What if a person was to discover that the woman she thought was her mother wasn’t. How would she feel? What if this mother was murdered? What would this person do?Then there’s a scary scene with Amanda driving down a mountainside and that comes from my memory banks. I grew up across the road from a very bad intersection and every weekend there would be at least one horrific accident. Some of these were youths speeding or chasing each other. Others were drunks or drivers who had miscalculated the sharp turn and careered into an oncoming car or the nearby light post. My dad would run over to see if an ambulance needed to be called as we were the only family in the street to have a phone. He’d take blankets over if the person/people was badly injured and I would help him. My sister and my mother would be too upset to be of help and didn’t go.
Once a car overtook another and miscalculated. He caught the side of the vehicle and the side panel was peeled away like a giant orange peel. This I have included in one of my scenes.
I find my characters everywhere and nowhere.
