As a child I had stories going through my head. It took me a long time to realise I should write them down, therefore clearing my mind. Little did I know another one would pop up!
I wanted to be painter since I was a child. I was told, while being assessed at the end of my art foundation, I should go into drama or be a stand-up comedian. I’m short, so even if I did ‘stand up’ it’d be hard to see me and I realise that was their way of telling me I was rubbish at art.
I’ve worked in various jobs and I have been extremely lucky to do what I wanted to do… though I have a habit of changing my mind every so often.
If you want something, go for it. The only thing holding you back is you. You only have one life so don’t say ‘if only’ say ‘well at least I tried’.
Writing, like anything creative, is an exposure. Not everyone likes what you write, what you say or what you think… but some people do. That’s my focus. On the people who like what you write… what I write.

The waters were a combination of turquoise, blue, and green. There were corals of every color imaginable, and a combination of different species of fish that made his home lively and colorful.
As a leatherback sea turtle with greenish-brown shell, or carapace, as his parents taught him, he sometimes envied how fish could swim so fast while he swims a little too slow. At first, he thought that it was normal, but when he saw how fish such as Angelfish, Butterflyfish, and Barracudas can swim so fast, he wondered why he could never be like them. He often asked his parents about this but they said that not everyone are created the same way, and that he should be thankful for who he is and what he has.

Shyness exists in every corner of the world, every level of society, every workplace and school, in boardrooms, bars, churches and bus stops, in places large and small. The digital age, with all the interconnection it offers, has only made things worse. For those living under the shyness curse, life can be discomforting at best and terrifying at worst. While many people experiencing social anxiety simply resign themselves to the fact and retreat from social interaction, this need not be the case.
OK, so I am shy. So what? That’s just who I am.
While shyness may seem just as much a part of you as your elbow, the difference between your elbow and your shyness is that you weren’t born with your shyness. It was cultivated and fostered over the years (quite possibly unknowingly) through the processes of your (sneaky) mind. There is good news here for you. You might never succeed at thinking away your elbow, but you can apply your mind’s amazing power to banish your social anxiety for good!
I’ve tried overcoming my shyness before, I am just not sure it’s worth it.
OK, so there are shy people who live content lives despite their affliction. But how many of them could honestly claim to have lived a truly full and rewarding life? Experiencing the full richness and beauty of our world requires some measure of confidence and the ability to create real, meaningful human relationships. In addition to receiving what others have to offer, those comfortable interacting with new people are also able to give of themselves in enriching ways. Such symbiosis requires the ability to reach out to others, to trust the unknown.
But that unknown, that’s the uncomfortable part.

Synopsis of
The Cerulean’s Secret
by Dennis MeredithTimothy Boatright, a wanna-be writer who drives a cab in New York, finds himself ensnared in the theft of the most beautiful cat in history. The Cerulean was created by the genetic engineering company, Animata, which produces a menagerie of genetic crossbreeds and mythical creatures, for sale to the highest bidder.
Tim’s problems begin when he picks up a nervous little man who had stolen the cat, and had it in a carrier in Tim’s cab. Tim catches a glimpse of the cat and tells his fellow cabbies, who inform him of the theft.
Meanwhile, the police have tracked Tim, and suspecting him of complicity, drag him away for interrogation.
Heading back to his apartment, he is also detained by local drug boss Miguel Salvo, who is in Tim’s debt because Tim helped Salvo’s estranged mother when she was injured. Tim is warned that if he mentions Salvo to the police, he will be killed.
Back in his apartment, Tim is visited by Callie Lawrence, who was in charge of security for the cat when it was kidnapped. She warns Tim that he is being stalked, and sure enough his apartment is invaded by a murderous genetically engineered creature he dubs a “Nasty,” which tries to kill him.
Tim and Callie kill the Nasty, and not trusting the cops, head for the apartment of Callie’s daughter, Lulu. He is fascinated by the beautiful, sassy Lulu.
The police track the trio and arrest them, still suspicious, especially since Tim fled his apartment after the attack by the Nasty. But they are extricated from the police by Julio Miravelle, the sleek, dangerous-looking head of security for Animata, who invites them to meet Kenneth Talbot, multi-billionaire president of the company, who took over from the cat’s creator, the brilliant scientists Vasily Rozoff, just before his mysterious disappearance.
On a tour of the sophisticated labs of Animata, Talbot tells him that all the animals are sterile. Such guaranteed sterility is the only way the government allows the industry to operate, given the possibility of spread of unwanted mutants. Talbot reveals that Animata, in fact, invented the Nasty that attacked Tim, but that the company licensed the attack animals to the rival Genipet, because they didn’t want to be developing such violent creatures.
Callie and Tim refuse Animata’s protection, asking only that they be admitted to the next Animata auction, to search for the kidnappers.
Tim is abducted from the auction by the kidnappers, and at their hideout, sees the amazing cat for the first time. But the kidnappers themselves are killed by a Big Nasty, and the cat is taken. Tim manages to escape.
Tim asks Miguel Salvo to help him steal the cat back, and he has discovered that it is, indeed, being held at Animata, which also still has kept its own Nasties. Tim plans to turn the cat over to the police.
But Salvo plans to sell the cat, and when Tim steals it, he frames Tim for murder of an Animata guard. Tim and the cat escape Salvo and return to Lulu’s apartment to find that she and Callie have themselves been kidnapped by Miravelle to ransom them for their cat.
A clue from a small gold identification chain around the cat’s neck leads Tim to return the cat to where it was created—Rozoff’s isolated lodge in the Washington State rainforest near Seattle.
There, they are attacked by a Big Nasty, but escape. But at the lodge, Tim has managed to find where Callie and Lulu are being held. He rescues them, and the cat in turn saves him by killing a Big Nasty using a stunning weapon—its venomous claws.
Tim, Callie, and Lulu take refuge in the Arizona mountain fortress of “Mad Matt” Winn, a reclusive, paranoid former spy colleague of Callie’s. Tim discovers that his parents have been kidnapped and that the cat has been implanted with a camera that has recorded all that the animal has seen. No doubt, these recordings will implicate Talbot and Miravelle.
Most importantly, Tim finally thinks he has figured out the Cerulean’s ultimate secret—that the cat is the first fertile genetically engineered animal. This would mean the total shutdown of the lucrative genetic pet industry.
These discoveries help Tim develop a plan to bring Talbot down, save his parents, and exonerate himself. He contacts Talbot to arrange to exchange the cat for his parents’ freedom. But he stipulates that only Talbot and Miravelle can come to the rendezvous at Rozoff’s mountain lodge.
In the climactic scene, Tim reveals that the Cerulean has produced kittens and Callie and Lulu have tracked them down in Seattle, where the cat had temporarily gone missing. Talbot admits that he discovered the cat’s fertility only after he had publicly announced Rozoff’s brilliant achievement; so he was stuck, and even making Rozoff disappear did not solve the problem. To protect himself and the company from ruin, Talbot had hired the thieves to stage a kidnapping of the cat, so the company would appear blameless for its loss
When Tim reveals to Talbot that his admissions were being broadcast nationally, Talbot becomes enraged, insanely violent. Talbot shoots the cat and wounds Tim, but Tim overcomes him. The defeated Talbot reveals that he, in fact, did not kidnap Tim’s parents; that it was Salvo and his henchmen. The gangsters made Talbot pay them for the use of Tim’s parents as bargaining chips.
The cat survives, thankfully for Tim, who has grown to love it. Tim’s parents are rescued from Salvo’s men by Tim’s Uncle Ned. And in a final triumph, Tim discovers that Rozoff—who retained ownership of the cat—has bequeathed it to whoever the cat “chooses.” Rozoff’s executor rules that the chosen person is Tim, so he now owns the most famous cat in history, has won the love of Lulu, and has a cherished contract to write his first book.Learn more about the author, buy the book, or follow them on social media:
