   Author Bio:
   The first story I ever wrote was Sonic the Hedgehog fan-fiction at the tender age of eight.

   As a tomboy, I spent hours watching boys play video games during play dates. To include myself in their world of buttons and power-ups, I’d ask incessant questions about the characters, worlds, and storyline. I got the bright idea to bring a notebook when their answers became so intricate with rules and plotholes.

   This caught the attention of my future partner in crime, B.W., who tore his eyes from the TV and asked me why I had a notebook. When I told him my plans to document and fill in the missing pieces to the storylines, he asked me if he could illustrate them.

   Of course I said yes.

   The next day, I tore the perforated sides off our first scan-copied story and stapled the top corner. Then I knocked on all the doors in my neighborhood asking if I could sit down and read it to them.

   It didn’t take long before my neighbors started asking for sequel copies right off the press. We sold so well, we started charging snacks during our readings.

   At this point, I was a renowned businesswoman on the playground. I’d walk laps with B.W., plotting Sonic’s adventures for the next month’s edition. But all the fun came to a screeching halt when B.W. moved three states away. I vowed never to write another Sonic word without him and I didn’t.

   I turned to poetry, as every teenage writer does. Don’t worry, I was awful at it. Then I turned to essays and reviews, where I formed the opinions on social issues I stand behind today. But it wasn’t until college when I took everyone’s advice and wrote my first novel.

   Now, seven novels later, I’ve decided to start peddling the block again and publish my debut novel, FIGURE 8. I am proud to share my work, even if I don’t get cookies and milk with every read. I hope you enjoy them as much as me.

Sometimes you will read things in books and horror stories, things that go bump in the nigth and this will give you a chill down your spine as you walk alone at night. If he gets you, you will be reported missing, missing forever. If the company does not get to you in time, you and he both will and you will be stuck between hereafter and heaven.

   But don’t worry we are being watched every second of the day by ‘The Company’ who has the two headed wolf as their insignia. According urban legends the Company is located in the Vatican City; there they keep their technology and secrets safe between the walls and floors, hidden in bunkers with hundreds of secret rooms and catacombs tunnels. One person said that they have a direct line to the heavens there, but he is dead. He drowned whilst on holiday.

   In 1957, the first satellite was launched into space but this was not the truth – the first one was made operational in 1949, with insignia of the two headed wolf on its side. It made a ‘bleeping’ sound every few seconds showing it was alert and watchfully looking for him, the one they say the devil sent back by the devil himself. He is looking for revenge for those who made the mistake. They took his family; he is taking their families, one by one and has been for the past seventy years. Time does not heal everything.

   But there is one man that can end it all, his name was ‘David Thomas’ and he died more than a decade ago in catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred in 1986 at Chernobyl Nuclear Plant.

   Teno-E (Tinus Etsebeth) was born in 1979 in Upington a town in the province of the Northern Cape in South Africa. He writes sci-fi and supernatural thriller stories.

    I kill houseplants. There. Now you know one of my greatest shames. I’m not boasting. I just figure that if you’re reading this, you’re looking for more than how wonderful life is as a writer. You get enough of that elsewhere. Ditto for political rants, how to lose thirty pounds in a week, and creating gorgeous crafts with nothing more than twine and soup cans. My goal is to connect with you, dear reader, even if you’re not a writer, not a New Yorker, not a mother, not a female. We’re human (unless one of us is a spambot), and what we have in common is flaws. So here are a few more of mine:

    I sing all the time. I sing songs most people don’t know–jingles from television, crazy stuff I used to listen to on Dr. Demento, Broadway and movie soundtracks, and I can even bum-bum-bum through instrumental music. I sing in the car. In the shower. While I’m grocery shopping. And I headbop while I sing. When I’m not singing, I talk to myself. Just ignore me and move on. You get used to it after a while.

    I don’t eat my vegetables. Seriously. I only started eating salad about ten years ago, but I’d still rather have a cookie.

    Given the option, I would live in a mall where I would never have to worry about freezing temperatures or too much sun. I’m extremely fair-skinned and could burn under a 60-watt light bulb.

    I can’t sleep without background noise so the television’s on all night. If it’s too dark and too quiet, all I have are my thoughts. And even *I* don’t want to be alone with my thoughts.

    Don’t ask me to Zumba, line dance, or march in the parade. I have absolutely no rhythm.

    I color outside the lines. Not because I’m a rebel, but because I suck as an artist. My artistic ability is limited to being able to draw Snoopy sleeping on his doghouse. And I don’t even draw that well.

    Regrets. I have more than a few.

    My favorite activity is sleep, and I’m pretty good at it. I don’t clock a lot of hours, but I can powernap like a Persian cat and rejuvenate within ten minutes.

    I consider shopping and dining out excellent therapy for anything wrong in my life.

    My feet are always cold. Always. My husband of more than a quarter century claims it’s because I’m an alien sent to Earth to destroy him. (He might be right about that.)

    Coming to my house for a visit? Unless you’ve given me plenty of advance notice, be prepared. My floor will not be vacuumed, there will be dishes in my sink, and I only make my bed when I change the sheets once a week (I’m climbing back into it ASAP. Why make it?) Housecleaning is not high on my priority list. Okay, to be totally honest, it’s not on the list at all.

    I can resist anything…except ice cream.

    T. Jackson King (Tom) is a professional archaeologist and journalist. He writes hard science fiction, anthropological SciFi, dark fantasy/horror and contemporary fantasy/magic realism–but that didn’t happen until he was 38.

    Before then, college years spent in Paris and in Tokyo led Tom into antiwar activism, hanging out with some Japanese hippies and learning how often governments lie to their citizens. The latter lesson led him and a college buddy to publish the Shinjuku Sutra English language underground tabloid in Japan in 1967. That was followed by helping shut down the University of Tennessee at Knoxville campus in 1968 and a bus trip to Washington D.C. for the Second March on Washington where thousands demanded an end to the Vietnam War.

    Temporary sanity returned when Tom worked in a radiocarbon lab at UC Riverside and earned an MA degree in Archaeology from UCLA.
