As a child I had stories going through my head. It took me a long time to realise I should write them down, therefore clearing my mind. Little did I know another one would pop up!
I wanted to be painter since I was a child. I was told, while being assessed at the end of my art foundation, I should go into drama or be a stand-up comedian. I’m short, so even if I did ‘stand up’ it’d be hard to see me and I realise that was their way of telling me I was rubbish at art.
I’ve worked in various jobs and I have been extremely lucky to do what I wanted to do… though I have a habit of changing my mind every so often.
If you want something, go for it. The only thing holding you back is you. You only have one life so don’t say ‘if only’ say ‘well at least I tried’.
Writing, like anything creative, is an exposure. Not everyone likes what you write, what you say or what you think… but some people do. That’s my focus. On the people who like what you write… what I write.

Hutson minor at this stage spoke only Cantonese and was an utter brat and mysteriously sickly.By the end of the sixties the family was to be found on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, where Hutson senior monitored the U.S.S.R. Hutson minor was still a brat but now also a bit of a bruiser. Refused to speak Gaelic, though he did finally learn to read and write English under the disciplinarian regime of the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway. Then spent a year living in Banham Zoo in Norfolk, a public zoo owned by a family friend. Swapped childhood imaginary friends for real howler monkeys, penguins and wolves. Skipped school entirely for the year. Very eventually found himself studying maths, physics and operational research systems analysis as a degree, following up by studying for a masters in industrial relations.
For want of a brain, and in the absence of advice, followed in Daddy’s footsteps and found himself working for the British Civil Service in areas much too foul to be named. Was eventually asked to leave by the Home Secretary. A few years of international corporate life then earned him some more kind invitations to leave. Went down the financial plug-hole just in front of the global economy and found himself in County Court and declared bankrupt, with home, car and valuables auctioned off by Her Majesty’s Official Receivers. Now lives by guttering candlelight in a hedgerow in rural Lincolnshire as a happy peacenik vegan hippie drop-out, darning old socks and living on fresh air and a sense of the ridiculous.

The Fill Light: Here is the key to controlling the depth of your shadows and bringing emotion into your art.
Fixing Problem Areas With (Or Without) Shadows: Every face and every scene has flaws that you can “fix” in your camera. Every subject you shoot wants and deserves to look like a million bucks! It’s your job as a photographer to make that happen.
Glare: Glare in glasses can easily ruin a photo. Plus it’s incredibly difficult to “fix” in Photoshop. Fixing it in camera is really easy once you know how.

When a change happened at the top of the corporate structure at the large packaging manufacturer where Cary David Richards had spent about five years of his life he suddenly found myself and most of the rest of the staff in the Seattle office considered expendable.

Spock is my most influential Sci-Fi character.I was at various times a programmer, an economist, a consultant, and a Tae Kwon Do instructor.
The inspiration for this book was Eric Flint’s book, 1812: The Rivers of War, and his sequel, 1824: The Arkansas War. Flint’s alternate history diverges from actual history during the War of 1812. If you haven’t read these books yet, I encourage you to read them.
I wrote Renegade World to be a book that I would enjoy reading, one that has enough description to fire the imagination, but not so much as to confine it. It is written from several perspectives. Naami and her friend Kamau are from the late 21st century. Mohkave is from the early 16th century. Avram and Lilith are aliens. They all see things from their own unique perspectives that don’t alway jive.
