I was born in Albury, NSW and have lived in Sydney for the last 24 years. I am one of seven children and have a twin sister. Growing up I discovered I had a creative flare, especially with drawing and painting. I loved creative writing, reading books (To Kill a Mockingbird, The three Investigators, Lord of the Rings, etc, etc) and watching movies (Star Wars, Dead Poets Society, Scent of a Woman, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, Amistad, American History X…its a long list).I’ve always gravitated toward stories that inspire the soul and challenge perceptions. I appreciated and marvelled characters that demonstrated integrity, authenticity and selflessness, to go beyond themselves to do whats right.
After leaving school, my studies were very science based (Physiotherapy), as I also had a keen interest in anatomy, fitness, injury and healing. After working for many years in an Orthopaedic ward of a large hospital, assisting the healing of broken people (literally), the creative side in me was ready to burst.
I wrote A Righteous Man in 2002 and another, yet to be released book after that. Both sat on the shelf, dormant until now. In fact, my wife secretly accessed copies of both books from my computer and printed them out as bound, hard copies for our first wedding anniversary. This instigated a renewed zest for them both and hence the current publication on Amazon.
I have travelled extensively and worked in the USA over the years, mainly due to the fact my brother has lived there for over 20 years. I’ve seen more of the USA and Canada than I have of Australia, which was obviously helpful when writing this book, as it is set in the deep south of America.
My other creative outlet over the years has been spending countless hours learning graphic design and 3D animation software programs such as Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush and After Effects. A bit of a challenge initially for someone only competent using Word. They are big programs, so I think mastering them is be a long term endeavour, but I’m getting there slowly.
Although I’m currently taking 1 year off my normal day job to look after my baby daughter, while my wife builds a business…I’ve never been so tired. I love my daughter dearly, she is such a joy. I treasure this time I can spend with her to watch her grow. But I also take my hat off to all mothers out there who look after multiple children, especially single parents. It is hard work! I miss a good sleep and when I do my brain just reverberates Wiggles songs.
I hope people enjoy reading my book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Amongst the dark traits, attitudes and behaviours of some of the characters, there a sense of hope, courage and integrity that is the underlying message I hope the reader appreciates.

It was short but complicated, punctuated by a lot of twists and turns, and featuring a variable ending — the reader made decisions along the way that affected what outcome they saw. That’s because the story was a video game, written in BASIC on my home PC. I ended up writing a few more, adding custom images to gradually include another love for graphic design into the mix.A few years later, my teenage friends and I started a band with me on drums and singing. We wanted to be more than a cover band, so I began penning little stories — songs — sometimes even writing the music as well. After some years of singing in the dark behind the drum kit, I took up the guitar and moved to the front of the stage.
Real life intervened as I graduated college with a degree in graphic design and went to work at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum on the National Mall in DC. There, I got to help tell fascinating stories via graphics and computers to the largest museum audience in the world. It was like sci-fi, but everything was real.
I moved on from there to work a couple of other jobs before meeting my wife and starting a web, app and mobile development studio with her. There, I still get to tell stories, albeit in the form of games and educational interactives. I’ve guided readers on investigations of Edgar Allan Poe, breathed life into a flying monkey named Cheeko, and wrote a mystery that happens after midnight in a national art museum.
Though very different, my work and mind-set owes a lot to authors like Arthur C. Clarke, who I always admired as a teller of very plausible science fiction tales. It is not uncommon for me to quote one of Clarke’s three laws on any given occasion, especially the third: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” With my two daughters, it has been a lot of fun to see them believe in this sort of magic all the time. There are so many plausible and real wonders, so many mysterious and complex corners of reality to explore. I like doing that, while adding a dose of the unreal.
Of course, I have also been known to quote many other books, movies, and songs as well. As Burt Gummer says, it’s all just “a few household chemicals in the proper proportions.”

involved with Trisha his agent, not knowing Julie, his wife, who

tough, is on her way to finding a place in his life again. Beck meets
Julie again and realizes he still loves her in spite of all, and takes
the option of cancelling his already advanced marriage plans with
Trisha, his agent. Trisha stays calm on receiving the news, and lets
Beck know she has no problems with his new decision to keep their
relationship only and totally professional.
Beck carries on with his life, enjoying fame and his expanding wealth,
and very pleased that Julie is expecting a baby, not knowing that
Trisha is not truly finished with him. Trisha executes her plans to
get pregnant for Beck, and succeeds so well that Beck is left very
bitter. What Beck loves to hate with a passion is the idea of two
women being the mothers of his children. His mind is made up now.
Beck, filled with a strong desire for vengeance, loathing for fame,
just can’t help hurting his wife by going all out to get back at
Trisha. He does not want to kill Trisha and his unborn child, but he
is determined to deny her a chance to have a father to present to the
baby in her belly. He leaves his home without letting Julie know he is
