Hi everyone……Thanks again for taking the time to read something I’ve written, and for all of the amazing support on this adventure.
I just want to thank you again and explain a little more fully why I love to write. It’s a question I get asked more often now, so I woke up early this morning and decided to get this down on paper to explain it more clearly.That’s the first thing, the constant desire to actually write something down. Like swimming and sex, not to mention family, religion and friends (among many other things and not in that order), I think about it all of the time. I’ll get an idea and have jot it on paper or in my notepad – at 2am, or noon when I’m swimming, whenever something poignant or funny, that I want to share comes into my head, I write it out. When I think “this is important, this is something people need to be reminded about, what I need to be reminded about.” Whether it be a gentle nudge to be more open-minded (which we all need), or to love ourselves a little more, I get ideas that represent these concepts and want to, almost have to share them. I think books are important for that, I know how a great story affects me, and the educator and coach in me wants to do the same things on a grander scale for other people as well.
That’s the second piece – it gets something across, a piece of me. Something I value and think that is important. An idea that reminds me, and hopefully others, what life should be about, and that struggling through it is okay. Anyone that really knows me, understands why struggle is such a focus in my writing. But I think, just like in coaching, writing allows you to share ideas that maybe people have forgotten, that maybe they have never even thought about. Because to be honest, life is hard, and it is full of struggles, and it’s also amazing and full of cycles where we rebound into something even better than before. Sharing that understanding, that goal. That’s why I write.
I hope you don’t mind, And I appreciate the indulgence. I know that’s what it is, trust me. When after fourteen hours of work, all I can think about is getting a few pages written, a few ideas outlined, I know this is part of who I am. That it’s what I really want to share. Not just the outside, but what I’ve learned and what I continue to learn in my life.

Our initial attempts, on a country-wide level, to practice representative democracy, and hence representative government, ended in complete fiasco, and in a national calamity which is still very much with us. The enormity of the calamity which was committed immediately before and repeated after independence was widely excused by Nigerian and British apologists alike.Their contention was that it was not natural to expect that representative democracy, as practised in civilized countries, would be understood by, and acceptable to, peoples with racial diversities, such as lived in Nigeria. They were just emerging from a primitive socio-political way of life. Their concept of governmental organisation has never transcended fragmentary units of village, town, and territorial administration. These were operated by the diverse racial or ethnic groups separately, and independently of one another, under a gerontocratic, authoritarian, oligarchic or feudalistic system.
The people had been long accustomed to those heterogenous systems before the British Imperial power brought them to be governed, and later to govern themselves, under one homogenous system”. As will be seen in the text, the rule of law has not fared better; it has suffered the same terrible assaults as representative democracy.In our belief system we know that man after his fall has no in-built mechanism to do right. The heart of man continually conceives evil because the heart of man is desperately wicked. As long as man remains in his fallen state no meaningful development can even take place in our body polity.
Our political fathers have tried to fashion out the best system of government that can suit our heterogenous nation, but all attempts have ended in futility. In the recent democratic dispensation we are yet to find the solution to lasting peace which has roundly eluded us.
Democracy or any other system of government cannot and will never be the solution that man is looking for in the myriad of problems it faces. The time has come for us to tell each other the truth, because: except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it: and except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman watches in vain. This is the summary of the problems of man. But we also fail to understand that no man can excel by his own strength. Man’s power cannot achieve anything substantial except we connect to the power that is above every other power.

Why have successive governments failed so miserably in our leaders’ attempt to come to grips with the problem of government and have been thwarted now and again by problems beyond human capacity to control. Speaking in generic terms, leaders of honesty and integrity have tried to grapple with the immense problems of government. Men have tried to find responsible solutions, trying hard to make the country better, but all to no avail, because forces beyond man’s control have frustrated all efforts at every turn.
The primary aim of responsible governments are the attainment of peace and prosperity, often referred to as the “common good”. But it does appear that in Nigeria, the leaders of our various governments have set about achieving these objectives in many different ways, yet no government has ever achieved these dual aims fully or permanently.
The problem of leadership in Nigeria today is a serious indictment of the system of government it is running, which has in effect created more problems than it can solve. It therefore means that a government built by wisdom and on the solid foundation of God will stand strong. Politics and governance are vehicles for effective creation of wealth within a State or Nation, preserving the wealth so created and effectively distributing the wealth for the common good of all. The issue of government and governance is so crucial and sensitive that from the onset God was directly involved. We hear Him say, He is the Governor among the nations of men and whoever He appoints ruler is he that rules. He rules by His power for ever; and His eyes see the nations and whatever these nations do.
One of the root causes of the afflictions and untold sufferings and calamities befalling many rulers and nations today is not far from this: that they may realize that God rules in the Kingdom of men and that He is the one that appoints them. God, in words and deeds is the Governor among the nations and he has a master plan. Any nation that recognises and accepts God as their governor is blessed. By implication, anyone that does not recognise or regard Him as Governor shall not be blessed.
Christian Politicians must gather together to pray and seek God in order to make their election sure, that is, rooted and grounded on a sure and solid foundation. As Pastor Adeboye once said that there is a club of the Almighty God comprising of only three (3) members namely:
i. God Himself being the first of the three with whom nothing shall be impossible;
ii. The next person is the Believer with whom all things are possible;

I love technology, and I also believe social issues can be addressed in fiction, without compromising the strength of the story or lowering the entertainment level of the work.In his Listmania! List, Carlos Baez says Near Future Fiction writers “usually extrapolate imaginatively from present trends.” Since we are narrating stories that take place sometime in the next one hundred years, they may include strange, intriguing, and even frightening technologies and phenomena, but our worlds are familiar in a way that makes the events in the stories feel immediate, and therefore avoidable.
Although current social trends may include Monsanto and others lobbying congress for the ability to obtain patents on human genetic sequences, it is still possible for us to avoid the world of The Windup Girl, in which ‘calorie companies’ devastate the global population through plagues caused by genetically enhanced, treatment resistant, disease causing organisms.
In some ways, Dystoopian Narratives are great metaphorical expressions of our fears. Stories like The Hunger Games and Divergent open to worlds that are economically, socially, and politically screwed up. There is also typically the presumption that it’s been that way for a long time.
For the characters, the time before global catastrophe is a distant memory. This creates chronological distance between our world and that of the book’s heroin, making it easier for readers to live vicariously through these engaging characters, as they stand up to fascist societies and battle despotic leaders.
Like Fantasy, Dystopian Science Fiction transports the reader into a completely different world. One which is often far simpler than our own, in which seven percent unemployment characterizes the same economy that also supports a booming stock market, and selfies and twerking have been placed upon media shelves alongside Duck Dynasty and a Whites only Santa Clause.
I acknowledge that our world is confusing, but to me it’s also incredibly interesting. Interesting in a way that can be entertaining, and enlightening. This is evident in well written shows like Homeland and House of Cards.
Characters like Carrie Mathison and Francis Underwood inspire me to write The Hacker, Bryce Anderson, Vanessa Stanton, and crazy Rafi. I hope you enjoy them and learn as much as I have in creating them.

So I went on a personal mission and spent a ton of time at the library… reading every single book I could find on how to stop drinking.
Through a lot of research and desperate searching, I was able to find 5 different experts who gave me techniques I used to quit drinking.
Through a ton of trial and error; including several relapses because of heavy peer pressure…
