Baum, is a psychologist and Director of the Resilience Unit at the Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma, Jerusalem as well as Senior Consulting Psychologist for Chai Lifeline-Project Chai in New York. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA, and her B.A. from Bar-Ilan University, Israel. She was a fellow at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership in Jerusalem. She has been a consulting psychologist for schools, and taught courses in psychology at the university level both in the USA and Israel.

In the last decade Naomi has dedicated herself to creating and implementing resilience-building programs for those exposed to trauma, be it terrorism, war or natural disaster. I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn’t long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn’t sleep without the light on until I was about ten.

I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it.

I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I’ve gotten better and now I’m writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way.

James Roberts is the captain of a salvage ship called the “Lightark.” One night while roaming outer space for missing ships, they saw one the size of a Space Cruiser. The captain and his crew were surprised by their discovery because they were not notified of any missing ships, especially one that has close to 3,000 passengers in it. They decided to check this enormous vessel and were surprised when they found practically nothing wrong with it and it appeared that the ship was just abandoned. But what they thought was an easy job turned deadly when one by one the crew turns up dead. Only the captain survived and only he can tell what really happened in The Darkness Within: A Novella by Robert Friedrich.

The whole story was like walking through a nightmare. The captain’s suffering was never-ending, with one obstacle after another. Then came the biggest, most surprising twist and slowly, it all made sense. I don’t know if the captain deserved being in that nightmare or if he was also a victim. I liked that the hero and villain were not exactly defined. The Darkness Within by Robert Friedrich may be a short story, but all the elements of horror were still there and were shown perfectly. It was scary and mysterious at the same time. A well written plot and good characters. This is a page turner I recommend to everyone who likes to read horror stories with a little gore, violence and abuse.

His mother was more of the serious worker type but they all still found times to build memories and went on many nice vacations. His mother was adamant about dreaming big and working hard at life. She took Jason and his sister too many lectures and events evolved around “Millionaire Mind”/ Motivational types of concepts etc.

At the age of 25 he received a rough lesson in the dangers of blind belief when he joined the Church Of Scientology’s ‘Sea Organization’. At one point he even began to contemplate suicide. His mom tried to get him out but he saw her efforts as a threat and almost disconnected from her. If he had, they both wouldn’t have lived too much longer because of their failing health and he was possibly the only person on earth who could train and gently push his mother back to a steady heart rate.

After he left he was devastated and found it hard to want to do anything in life.

But he did have one glimmer of hope. He thought that he could commit to writing a story bigger than himself and that, maybe, could make a difference in the world…

4 Facts You MUST Understand if you are Ever Going to Effectively Deal with the Terrible Twos or Children Behavior Problems

Behavior is driven by Emotion, NOT Logic. This is fundamental to everything, including understanding toddler behavior. Behavior, for any person of any age, is determined by their emotional state. People ACT from their emotions, and they later JUSTIFY their actions with logic. But small kids don’t have the ability to use logic, so they act purely from emotion. Keep this in mind when dealing with behavior in toddlers.

We tend to overuse the word “No” when we talk to our kids. This causes problems with toddler behavior. You remember the story of the boy who cried wolf, right? The little shepherd boy was bored while watching the sheep so he decided to cry wolf and make the villagers come running. Before long, they stopped responding to his false cries. When a parent cries “No” at every little thing, kids stop listening. The parent’s cries fade into the background. Behaviour problems in children can stem from this caveat. I’ll teach you multiple ways to get what you want without screaming “NO” at your child – and it simply works better!

If you want to have any chance at all of influencing your toddler’s behavior, you MUST have rapport first. Rapport simply means having an emotional connection to another person. I’ll show you how you can learn LOTS of ways to create this crucial emotional bridge before you deal with children behaviour problems.

Barbara Devlin was born a storyteller. A Texan, through and through, Barbara hasn’t been without a book in her possession since she was in kindergarten. She wrote her first short story, a really cheesy murder-mystery, in high school, but it was a Christmas gift, a lovely little diary with a bronze lock, given to her in the fifth grade that truly inspired her love for writing.

After completing part of her undergraduate studies at the University of London, where she developed a love of all things British, Barbara returned home and began a career in banking. But the late 80s weren’t too promising for the financial industry, and every bank that hired Barbara soon folded. So she searched for a stable occupation, and the local police department offered the answer to her prayers.

Initially, Barbara wasn’t too sure about her new career in law enforcement, but she soon came to love being a police officer. And then one uncharacteristically cold and icy day in December 1998, Barbara was struck by a car and pinned against a guardrail while working an accident on a major highway. Uvi Poznansky is a California-based author, poet and artist. Her writing and her art are tightly coupled. “I paint with my pen,” she says, “and write with my paintbrush.”

She earned her B. A. in Architecture and Town Planning from the Technion in Haifa, Israel. During her studies and in the years immediately following her graduation, she practiced with an innovative Architectural firm, taking part in the design of a large-scale project, Home for the Soldier.

At the age of 25 Uvi moved to Troy, N.Y. with her husband and two children. Before long, she received a Fellowship grant and a Teaching Assistantship from the Architecture department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she guided teams in a variety of design projects; and where she earned her M.A. in Architecture. Then, taking a sharp turn in her education, she earned her M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

During the years she spent in advancing her career—first as an architect, and later as a software engineer, software team leader, software manager and a software consultant (with an emphasis on user interface for medical instruments devices)—she wrote and painted constantly. In addition, she taught art appreciation classes.

Her versatile body of work can be seen on her website, which includes poem, short stories, bronze and ceramic sculptures, paper engineering projects, oil and watercolor paintings, charcoal, pen and pencil drawings, and mixed media. Life can be tough sometimes, there is no question about that. There are days when putting one foot in front of the other can be a daunting task, trust me, I know that, I’ve been there. After so many years of suffering from Complex Tourette’s Syndrome, and being close to spending my life in prison, I know very well and from experience that we can make very bad decisions in the blink of an eye.

Now that we speak about time, it was also time that taught me that the most pain is experienced when we do not submit our lives to the Lord, but rather run from his will for our lives or be angry at him for the things in which we can not control or explain. Living life with Regrets is awful and if we only realized that we can live life without these regrets when washed by the precious blood of Jesus which completely takes away even the remembrance of our mistakes and flaws.

I’ve seen almost everything in my life, and this is why I can honestly tell you that in my darkest hours, divine inspiration was the lightest of beams that never left me alone. This was my rope to get out of the hole, and once I did it, I used this inspiration to write books filled with words of love, grace, and compassion. This has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life because my books have helped a lot of people to feel better, and this is great for being a person who was diagnosed with mental and physical limitations.

Life is an amazing experience if you are willing to make it happen

I talk about my “limitations” with joy actually.To me, these have been a constant reminder of my strength and willingness which comes from Jesus Christ to overcome any obstacle. His Spirit has made a way for me always, rivers in the desert, over mountains and through deep, dark valleys. The words of inspiration that I share through my books are a gift. You’ll very soon discover that the price you pay to get access to them is not as valuable as the messages you can find inside of each of my works. These are all crafted with great care and dedication so that other people can take advantage of the knowledge and expertise shared there and improve their lives. As a reborn man in my faith in Jesus, I have now discovered that life is not about receiving, but about giving. Since we are born we learn that we need to receive things in order to receive more. Get good grades so you can get a title, so you can get a job, so you can get and raise a family, so you can get blessings. However, this process is very complicated, based on egocentric actions, and easy to overthrow due to it is only about one person. On the other hand, if we switch our soul, mind, and body, to a giving mode, true miracles start to happen, it is not about me anymore; it is about us, your problems become my problems, pain in spread and soon enough you discover that pain is too small to be in all of us.

This is why I think that being able to share my experiences and my knowledge through my books is fantastic. It is my genuine pleasure to share my messages with you, and now that you know the person behind, you also know that my books are not about me, they are about and for you.
