The sergeant raised his gun. “What the hell?” he said. “Let’s shoot the bastards.”
Still lying on the ground, Pete waited for the gun to go off. This was it then – the end. In a moment or two, it would all be over. During those few seconds, his life played out before him like a film. Pictures of his wife and children flashed through his mind, as he braced himself for the inevitable. The sergeant wrapped his finger around the trigger and began to squeeze. Pete closed his eyes…but there was only a click. Mercifully, the gun had jammed.
*In a desperate effort to stay on his feet, the sergeant grasped out at the police car, only to find his hand disappearing through the open window. Off balance and unable to pull back quickly enough, he felt his fingers sink into the thick melted flesh of what was once a policeman.
“Get it off me! Get it off!” he screamed, as he pulled his arm from the car. He hopped around the road in agony…already his fingers were beginning to blister. Holding out his arm he turned towards the other soldier for help.
But Jones took several steps backwards. “Keep away,” he shouted. “Stay away from me!”

Covington Stone owns a failing private investigation agency in LA. He’s a handsome mid-30′s guy, blue collar, smart, comes from old school NYC Hell’s Kitchen tough neighborhood. He recently had a stint in the NYPD before moving to LA and inheriting his uncles PI business.

Drowning his sorrows at a nearby pub, a beautiful brunette sits next to him – Kerrie Barnett, former employee of the James Lindsend Detective Agency. There he learns that she was one of Jamie’s Saints.
She suggests that he get a female partner. Not one for men to ogle, but a beautiful, resourceful, educated woman who will provide him with that ‘in’ with the type of clientele he’s seeking. Covington’s a bit old school macho and thinks that this type of work is too dangerous for a woman, but his conversation with Kerrie makes him rethink that stance.
After interviewing a whole bunch of girls, they’re either vapid or crazy. He’s about to give up for good, when suddenly, Gilberto DaCosta, a rare gems merchant shows up at his office who said that Kerrie recommended him and his “partner”. Partner?

• Great Drama – procedural, serial (story arcs).

• Comedy: screwball comedy, slapstick, cheesiness, insult comedy, physical comedy, character comedy and who could forget cheesy 1-liners.
• Romance and Sexual Tension: the “will they or won’t they” cliché that takes place in many of these shows that involve a male and female lead. It is now common to television drama of all genres. It’s about finding out what the other person is hiding.
• Cross-Overs with Other Shows – On occasion, characters from other shows would be mentioned or appear to offer assistance.
• Charming & Good Looking Men and Women, character Development, Recurring Villains, Unique Plot Lines.
• Dark Tone: dark and serious tones, often disturbing and “cringeworthy”.
• Supernatural/Sci-Fi: some elements of supernatural that many people don’t believe, but are present and can either be real or a hoax. Could or could not be extraterrestrials, but could also be “objects” that can be used to harness or impose power. If in the wrong hands….
• Breaking the 4th wall, and voiceovers, talking to themselves, unmatched acting and narrations.What are some examples of these shows? There are so many and I’m missing al ot, but I’ll name some..…
Remington Steele, MacGyver, Mike Hammer, The Equalizer, Charlie’s Angels, Hart to Hart, Simon & Simon, Cagney & Lacey, Moonlighting, CHIPS, 21 Jump Street, Hunter, Murder She Wrote, HardCastle and McCormick, Spencer For Hire, Jake & The Fat Man, Knight Rider, Magnum P.I., The A-Team, Miami Vice, Greatest American Hero.
I miss these shows and while they’ve tried to bring some of these back in movie form, they were not even close to the original source material.
So I will bring these show back in book form, just like watching an episode on TV.
I hope you will enjoy my stories and revisit some of these shows and never forget them. The joys that the shows of yesteryear have created have been a wonderful source of happiness that should always remain in everybody’s memory. That’s what entertainment is all about!

Most New Moms Let Themselves Go…
They indulge in their cravings, stop exercising and use pregnancy as an excuse to eat the house – I’ve got to admit even as health conscious as I was, chocolate sundaes we’re just too tempting!
Do you find yourself making excuses like “Well if I’m craving it, then it may have something in it that the baby needs.” While sometimes this is true – but it can also be dead wrong. I decided to crack the craving puzzle. I found that while there are some cravings that are GOOD and do tell you what you are lacking in your diet. Others are a sign of a poor diet or overindulgence. For instance if you’re craving foods with a lot of sodium, it’s probably a sign that you are eating too many foods that are high in sugar. Once I learned the code, it was SO MUCH EASIER to handle the cravings and deal with them in the right way.
Nutrition plays a big role in how you feel during pregnancy. There’s no denying it, when you have a big belly, feel nauseous and have aches and pains – the last thing you feel like doing is getting up off the couch to cook a healthy meal or even think about what you should be eating. And really that’s why most pregnant women gain more weight than they should and feel downright miserable during pregnancy. They don’t take care of themselves!
The facts show that the baby will take what it needs from the mother, even if that means taking calcium from their bones or depleting their iron reserves making them anemic. So really if you want to take care of yourself, you must get all the nutrients you need to grow your baby from the food you eat and not your body reserves. If you do this you will feel GREAT during pregnancy and possibly even avoid morning sickness, hair loss, and other negative pregnancy side effects.
It’s true that…most pregnancy books are all about the BABY. They will tell you to eat an extra 300 calories and to exercise – but that’s about it. It took me a long time to find information about exactly WHAT I could or should do with any detail.
Even though I was an “expert” in non-pregnancy fitness, I had TONS to learn about “pregnancy + fitness”. I remember trying to find out HOW I should modify my exercise routine for my pregnancy – what was safe to do and what I needed to AVOID.
Wow, you think it would be easy to find simple tips like – don’t lift over your head or lie on your back after the first trimester, but no one seemed to give you an easy routine to follow.
And what about abdominal muscles? I knew how to work them, but I didn’t know EXACTLY what I could or couldn’t do now that I was exercising for two.
I can remember my confusion. Questions kept popping into my head. And it wasn’t just around exercise – I remember having questions about herbal teas, fish, left-overs, hair dye…. I often couldn’t find straight answers.
Who said staying in shape and looking good during pregnancy has to be HARD?
