Hello! My name is David. A student from Bulgaria, currently not knowing what to do with with his life. A boy with some really poor knowledge of your own language (I’m sorry for that). I was seven when I decided I was going to be an equestrian. We lived in the suburbs in New Jersey and we didn’t even have a dog because he ran away and Mom said we weren’t getting another one. I read every horse book in my elementary school’s library (we didn’t have kindles waaay back then.) When I was ten, I had two riding lessons. Then, thank God, we moved to a dilapidated farmhouse and my mother’s mother’s cousin’s daughter gave us an appaloosa and a Shetland pony. They were old and ugly, but I loved them. I have spent many years being an Equestrian, mostly that means shoveling manure and getting my arm yanked out by unruly beasts. The moments of communication, those few rides where it all came together and the joy of touching a warm, furry horse made all the hard, hard, (did I say hard?) work worth it. I can’t imagine living without horses, ever. I only have five now, but I still ride my near black Swedish Warmblood, Valentin in shows. He is nothing like Windsong, but my daughter’s mare is. Beautiful, talented, rarely gets a score below sixty, but the poor thing is convinced horse chomping demons are lurking everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I am enjoying sharing my stories, I have been told for years that I should write. My friends were probably trying to get me to stop talking about my horse escapades. Author Bio:
David J O’Brien was born and raised in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. He studied environmental biology and later studied deer biology for his PhD, at University College Dublin. Instead of pursuing his life-long interest in wolves and predator-prey interactions, after completing his doctorate, he taught English in Madrid, Spain, for four years while his girlfriend finished her doctorate in molecular biology. They married and moved to Boston, USA, so his wife could pursue her career and David decided that teaching was a vocation he was happy to continue. After seven great years teaching Biology at Boston’s Cathedral High School and Zoology at Bridgewater State College, he returned to Spain three years ago so his wife could set up her new research group in her hometown of Pamplona shortly before their daughter was born.

David has loved writing since his teens. He began with poetry and had one of his first poems published in Cadenza, a small Dublin poetry magazine at the age of fourteen. Since then several more have been published in journals and anthologies such as Albatross, The Tennessee State Poetry League, Poems of Nature and various anthologies of Forward Press imprint in Britain. He began writing fiction soon after and wrote the novella that would later become Leaving The Pack at the age of seventeen. Though his academic writing took precedence for a number of years, and he is still involved in deer biology and management, he kept writing other things in his spare time and has always dreamt of one day being able to do it full time. While living in Madrid, he wrote some non-fiction articles for the Magazine Hot English and while in Boston for the newspaper Dig. There, too, he took a feature-writing class in Emmanuel College he was awarded as thanks for mentoring a student teacher.

An avid wildlife enthusiast and ecologist, much of David’s non-academic writing, especially poetry, is inspired by wildlife and science, and he sometimes seeks to describe the science behind the supernatural. He has written a little bit of everything: to date a four-act play, a six-episode sit-com, various short stories and four more novels.
After two more years teaching English and science in a secondary school, David recently moved to a private teaching academy to develop their English program. This has not only given him more time with his daughter and enjoy Pamplona and its surroundings, but also allowed him to finally devote time to fully developing his writing career.

He is currently working on a long novel set in the pre-Columbian Caribbean, and a non-fiction book about the sociology of hunting. My love of stories started when I was very young. Listening to my father’s simplified version of Shakespeare at bedtime awakened my imagination. When I was six, I moved from suburban Boston to Italy with my family. Living in a two-bedroom apartment in the industrial city of Turin we didn’t own a television. I spent my free time reading The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, and many other juvenile fiction classics. My passion for literature really took hold during those years.

We returned to the States when I was eleven, to the same house on an acre of grass and trees that we had left. The main floor of our home was always neat and clean, with plastic covers on the common area furniture to keep the children and the dust off, while downstairs my father’s thousands of stacked books held dusty court. To this day, I love well-used books.

When I was younger, the thought of writing a book seemed so arduous to me. I wanted to work in business. At Boston College, I majored in English because I loved the subject. I figured I would learn about business by working in companies, not by studying them. After working in commercial real estate, investment banking, and in my own recruiting firm for many years, I decided that what I really wanted to do was write novels.

Kaushik Subramanian’s autobiography, Beautiful Stranger, is his journey of discovering UFO technology. Kaushik is a 26 year old law graduate, who happened to write a science fiction story about aliens handing over the UFO design to the humans. In the process of writing, Kaushik accidentally gets a brainwave about how the UFO might work. Kaushik’s design of an antigravity based supersonic space exploring spacecraft, is based on magnetic suspension of two hollow ellipsoidal electromagnetic shells that suspend each other using the magnetic field that exists between them. The craft is then propelled using the Meissner Effect, which makes the craft repel itself forward. The detailed version of his research is presented at the end of the book. Ever since Kaushik made this design, he claims that he has been followed by mysterious spacecrafts, which appear like planes, but have the ability to turn invisible. He claims that he has been seeing these spacecrafts for 3 years now. He believes he is being monitored by extra-terrestrial beings, who somehow know about his story and the design.

Has it been years since you thought seriously about your life?

Welcome to the club! That describes me just a year ago. I was overweight, stressed, constantly worried about my finances and quietly desperate about my relationship with God. I was aimless. I had no plans for where my life would be in 2, 5 or 10 years.

I’m a reader. I’ve read several thousands books in my life; there wasn’t much else to do in Poland before the fall of communism. We had a black and white TV with only 2 channels; I didn’t see my first computer until age 11. So, reading became my biggest habit.

In August 2012 I read a book called “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson. It took me a whole month to start implementing ideas from this book. That led to me reading numerous other personal development books, some effective, some less so. I looked at myself and decided this was one person who could surely use some development. In November of 2012, I created my personal mission statement; I consider it the real starting point of my progress. Over several months I applied several self-help concepts and started building inspiring results: I some weight, greatly increased my savings, built new skills, got rid of bad habits and developed better ones.

I’m very pragmatic, a “down to earth” person. I favor utilitarian, bottom-line results over pure artistry.

Despite the ridiculous language, I found there is value in the “hokey-pokey visualization” stuff. I now see it as my mission to share what I have learned.

My books are not abstract. I avoid going mystical as much as possible. I don’t believe that pure theory is what we need in order to change our lives; the Internet age has proven this quite clearly. What you will find in my books are:

- detailed techniques and methods describing how you can improve your skills and drive results in specific areas of your life

- real life examples

- personal stories

So, whether you are completely new to personal development or have been crazy about the Law of Attraction for years, if you are looking for concrete strategies, you will find them in my books. My writing shows that I am a relatable, ordinary guy, not some ivory tower guru.
