Monique Sorgen was born and raised in San Francisco, spending summers and winter holidays in Paris, with her mom’s side of the family. Sorgen is half-French. She wrote her first chapter of a book in 5th Grade, based on the adventures, drama, and goings-on of her classmates at her French-American grade school. She sent her writings to Judy Blume, and in return became the proud recipient of a printed form letter and autographed picture, thanking her for being a fan. Sorgen moved to Los Angeles, shortly before her 18th birthday, to attend UCLA’s school of Theater, Film, and Television, where she studied directing for theater and film. I was born and educated in the Roman city of Bath in the UK, and moved to the USA with my family in 1993. I have always made a living writing, both as a ghost writer and in my own name, and having previously ghost written four successful Kindle novellas and several non-fiction books, I decided a series of novellas in my own name was way overdue. Hence ‘We Can Laugh Together Too’, book one in a planned Walnut Grove Series.

Book two: ‘His Past Came Calling’, is now also published, and book three (sorry, no title yet) is in the works.

Goodness knows how many books will, over time, be added to the Walnut Grove Series. The general plan is to introduce fresh characters as appropriate, providing opportunities for new directions and emerging relationships.

Aside from writing, my other interests include my family, cats, Dalmatian dogs, thoroughbred horses and traveling. My favorite vacation destination is the Big Island of Hawaii.

This is a great start to a unique story. It moves quickly and the characters are easy to relate to, so it’s a great read if you aren’t looking for an epic adventure to hold your attention for days. And it looks like there are future books to grow the plot.One thing I love about this book is that the main character has had an exceptionally rough life. She is struggling to raise twins born following abuse by her uncle. She kept the children and lived with her parents who were very supportive. But after a failed relationship—the first time she opened herself to love—she decides to escape her hometown and strike out entirely on her own. It’s after taking this giant leap that she meets Andrew. It doesn’t get much harder for the leading lady than that in the romance genre. I really appreciated that a book has such a strong character with such a difficult past. I’m not someone that can get into the flimsy damsel-in-distress stories. I need characters with substance. The leading man has some depth as well.

Arthur ‘Art’ Adkins is currently a lieutenant with the Gainesville Police Department, Gainesville, Florida. Art started his law enforcement career in 1980 on the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department. Seeking more diversity, he moved to Los Angeles and joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1982 and it is his experience on LAPD which he called upon to create his main character in The Oasis Project. His law enforcement career has been peppered with fascinating jobs and excitement, elements he weaves into his work. Doug Ward currently lives in Western Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Slippery Rock University. His BFA is in Fine Art. Doug spends much of his time doing oil paintings which incorporate mythology and science.

I write about parasitic zombies. They feel (to me) more scientifically grounded than other types. It’s also pretty scary how many parasitic creatures are inside us at this very moment. Some have even bonded with us for so long that they are actually a part of our DNA.

Parasites have been known to take over their hosts. A few years ago my wife called me from a friends house and said that a mouse kept trying to snuggle with the cat. Literally nuzzling up to the cats face. I quickly informed her that the mouse was infected by a parasite and that they needed to remove it from the house immediately.

The parasite wanted to be eaten by the cat so it could continue it’s lifecycle in the bowls of the unfortunate creature. This flatworm not only controls mice but it can infect humans as well.

I have blended many scientific ideas into Parasite, which will be a four book series.

Saving Jebediah is a fun piece of fan fiction I wrote for a contest Mark Tufo was having. Although I edited it to make it cross over with my book series it has a little different zombie types than I normally use.

Returning to Canada he worked at an amazing variety of jobs, from cab driver to land surveyor to accordion salesman, eventually settling down as a software developer for the web.

He finally set aside his technical background to return to his two real passions: writing and music. He is the author of one novel, ELDORADO, one novella, CHOPPER MUSIC (available on Amazon.com), and several short stories. He is currently working on a second novel and a second novella.
