Paul began writing in 1998, shortly after the birth of his daughter. His first short story, Amy, was written in November of that year, but went unpublished until November of 2013. That was when Paul found the courage to publish.Despite the 15 year lag, Paul has written many unpublished works throughout the years. Linear Shift, Part 1 (September/2013) was his first published story, and was the kick off to his four part serial novel. Part 2 followed up in December of 2013, and Part 3 is planned for a May/2014 release.
Aside from his Linear Shift series, a number of Paul’s short stories have been included in anthologies. Amy, was included in “Something To Read On The Ride”. Lookout Mountain and Gold Rush were both included in “Something For The Journey”. His short story Alone has been submitted to another anthology, but has yet to be published.

I immersed myself in books, classes, and seminars trying to learn everything I could about investing. I had been interested in investing for a really long time, but wasn’t sure exactly what route to take. Through my education I found out that I loved real estate.I eventually started a real estate investment business with my fiance. It’s a passion that I still currently do and brings a lot of fulfillment to my life.
During 2 years of running that business, it showed me how much the education that I got beforehand helped me with my deals. It had allowed me to become successful quickly by learning the correct steps and not making the same mistakes that my teachers had made.

The birds were very clever and fun to watch, especially when the smaller birds kicked seed to the ground for the larger birds. It seemed the birds had some group structure and displayed very effective teamwork. The sobs choke my chest as I stare at the metal, gleaming red like the rising sun, sticking from his chest. His eyes are frozen as well, locked onto mine. They look unsurprised. I sink down to my knees; tears fall harder.
I hear your voice. A shout, no, a scream. A scream of pain and anguish, despair and fear. A scream that locks into my bones and into my blood, reverberating with endless echoes in my mind and soul.
I don’t turn around to look at you. Instead I look straight ahead to the eyes that are locked onto mine, and then bring both of my hands down in a gesture as sharp as the red-hued blade swallowing my vision. Light explodes outward from me, devouring the night, consuming everything in its path.

I grew up on a farm outside Findlay, Ohio, and I often acted out characters from my own stories in the backyard. If you want to know a bit more about life in the fifties, read A GIFT FOREVER. In high school I would read during classes and hide a novel in front of me in a propped up textbook. After my high school graduation, I attended Ohio State University. Then I became a schoolteacher and play director.I met my husband (just celebrated our 38th anniversary) while teaching at an orphanage, and we married three years later. It took me that long to convince him I was the one for him! While raising our family in southwestern Ohio, I started writing nonfiction and was published. Later, I decided it would be a nice escape to write fiction. We were blessed with five daughters and one son. Two daughters were born with Down syndrome and live with us. Our other children also live close by in Ohio so that’s wonderful. Our son and daughter-in-law have an adorable son and are expecting a little girl soon. We enjoy our grandson and we look forward to the new grandchild.
I have a seasonal job scoring the tests that students hate to take in school. I’ve scored tests for Ohio, Louisiana, Washington, Pennsylvania and Alaska.
