There is a gross misconception in society that science is antithetical to theism. Mr. Williams’ book gives an excellent overview as to why most of the world’s scientists believe in (or are coming to a belief in) an intelligent designer to our universe. His argument is mainly based on the mathematical probability for each component that makes for our wonderfully rich and staggeringly detailed existence. To say that the statistical odds for the fragile nature of life is “astronomical” would be generous. The actual figures of probability are so extraordinary, so abstruse, as to profoundly assert that there must be a Supreme Being who intricately balances what we daily take for granted. There is quickly coming a day when atheists will have the same fate as those who believed that the world was flat. If you have any doubts to that, then read Mr. Williams’ book!

My name is Rebecca Bentley. I was born and live in Bolton, UK (Home to the famous director Danny Boyle – who my Dad taught! – famous actor Ian McKellen and famous comedian, Peter Kay. We haven’t had a famous author..yet!?)I am a twin and I have written my debut novel Behind the Facade with my twin sister, Victoria, using our maiden name Heap. We come from a friendly, Lancashire town in the UK called Bolton (home also to famous people such as Peter Kay and Danny Boyle)
No-one can agree on whether we are identical or not. All that matters to us is our symbiotic relationship and our mutual love of reading that has facilitated the inception and creation of our first novel. We intend to write future novels independently.
My favourite time at school was in English when we were asked to write a story. I have always loved writing which is probably why, when it came to my English Lit A-Level, I failed to get the expected A grade – I ran out of time because I was too busy writing long, wordy answers!
All the reward I would like for my stories is to know people have been entertained by them.
I am a foster mum and a mum, looking after 7 children in total aged from 3-11. They can be a handful at times so I find my escape in either reading or writing!

Hi. So I guess this is where I’m supposed to talk about myself. Only, I’m not a big fan of the spotlight. I’m not used to all eyes being on me because I’ve always shared the stage with my twin sister. See, that’s the thing. We have the perfect little “Get out of Jail Free Card” in our back pocket at all times. We always have an out. An escape. Translation: We can blame our twins for everything!Except this book is 100% me, which is terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. It’s like unraveling the deepest layers of your mind and putting it up for auction. Hoping that others will like it, but only because it’s a visceral extension of yourself. I wrote this novel because there is a lot of garbage out there and our world needs inspiration. So I put the sand and ice in my readers’ hands, allowing them to sculpt these characters using their own imaginations. I describe them, but they get to paint them! There are no pictures–on purpose.
I don’t want my readers idealizing an unrealistic standard, as that would be counterintuitive to the very point I am trying to make. Beauty is relative. I am not one to define it, but I will say that inner beauty is our most valuable treasure. By the end of my book, I want to inspire my readers to love themselves THAT much more–flaws and all.
This magical story touches on the importance of conservationism and protecting endangered species. It shows the power of gratitude, forgiveness, freedom, compassion, empathy, peace, honesty, and faith, while driving home the point that love is all that matters in the end.
It was important to me that my twin characters have their own identities because this is not portrayed enough in society today. I aim to change that perception, to empower people to embrace their differences, while taking my readers on a journey through the crevasses of my wild imagination.
If there is one takeaway message it’s to be a better person. To pay it forward. To speak your truth and be yourself, even if you’re shaking in the light. That’s your light. So own it. And shine. To me, that is perfection. A quiet strength. I believe that raw beauty, in its most vulnerable light, makes for the most spectacular colors. Colors that a mirror could only DREAM of capturing.

A: Sure it does, Obedience Training is for beginners. My readers are beyond that.
