Born in Cuba and raised in Central America, R.J. Pineiro spent several years in the midst of civil wars before migrating to the United States in the late 1970s, first to Florida to attend Florida Air Academy in Melbourne. There, RJ earned a pilot’s license and high school diploma in 1979, before heading to Louisiana for college.

R.J. earned a degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University in 1983 and joined the high-tech industry in Austin Texas, working in computer chip design, test, and manufacturing.

In the late 1980s R.J. began studying to become a novelist. Reading everything from classical literature to contemporary novels, R.J.’s love of storytelling became uncontrollable. Using an aging personal computer, R.J. decided to launch a writing career.

R.J.’s first published work, SIEGE OF LIGHTNING, a novel about a sabotaged space shuttle, was released by Berkley/Putnam in May of 1993. A second novel, ULTIMATUM, about a second Gulf War scenario, was released the following year, 1994, by Forge Books, which went on to publish R.J.’s next 12 novels over the following 13 years.

In 2015, R.J. teamed up with TV News military analyst Colonel David Hunt to kick off the “Hunter Stark Book Series.” The first book in the series, WITHOUT MERCY, about ISIS gaining acquiring nuclear weapons, was released on 3.7.17. The second book, WITHOUT FEAR, about the war in Afghanistan, was released on 8.7.18

​In 2017, R.J. also teamed up with New York Times bestselling author Joe Weber. The result is ASHES OF VICTORY, a novel of global terrorism and international conflict released by Ignition Books on 9.3.18

In 2018, R.J. penned a nineteenth novel, AVENUE OF REGRETS, a mystery revolving around sex trafficking and domestic abuse released on 11.16.18

In 2019, R.J. re-released his old and first novel, Siege of Lightning, on Kindle and also on a new paperback. He also released on 5.17.19 his twentieth novel, CHILLING EFFECT, a global climate thriller.

Raphael Nadal is arguably the greatest warrior tennis has ever seen. There is no player more mentally tough and determined to win a match. He plays every point like it is his last point. He wears down his opponents both mentally and physically. Clay court tennis is the most difficult and taxing surface to play tennis on, and Rafa has just annihilated the record books. Not only do I want to capture his tenacity, but I also want to capture how Rafa rebounded in 2017 to become the number one player in the world after being written off in 2015 and 2016.

For Novak Djokovic, he could be the most interesting story. Novak grew up during in extremely troublesome times in Serbia. Novak had to survive through two wars growing up. Novak has also had some adversity after winning his first major at age 20. Novak considered quitting the game in 2010. After soul searching and changing up his routine, including his diet, Novak went to dominate 2011 by winning three majors and becoming number one in the world. Novak is arguably the greatest return of server ever. Novak is such an incredible defender who shrinks the court like no other. Not only is he a great defender, Novak is also a great all around player turning defense to offense.

Roger Federer is the first male tennis player to win 20 Grand Slam majors. Roger is considered by many tennis experts as the greatest of all time, which many refer today as the G.O.A.T. To this day, Roger has won 8 Wimbledon titles. He is also the only player to capture at least five majors titles each in three of the four majors. If Novak is the quickest player ever, then Roger is the greatest shot maker ever. Roger plays the game with ease, grace, and beauty. Perhaps Roger owns the greatest forehand in men’s tennis history. Because his game is so beautiful, it is easy look past in what truly has made Roger such a great champion. Many do not look at how hard he works both mentally and physically on his game.

Roger has showed grit and heart in some tough matches in his career. His toughness was not really recognized until the 2017 Australian Open. I will cover Roger’s knee injury that ended his 2016 season and how he came back to face down his biggest rival Raphael Nadal in 2017, including the epic Australian Open Final.

Neal Fox is a composer, filmmaker, author, and artist. In his 20s, he landed a series of record deals with major labels, by playing songs on a piano for A&R execs. Signed to Polydor, RCA and Columbia Records, he had a series of singles and a Top Ten dance club hit.

Louisiana-born E.J. Mara remembers sitting on the floor of her room at six-years old and writing a poem called “Seashore.” At the time, she didn’t realize that what she was writing was called poetry. She was simply jotting down words as they popped into her brain, and for some reason the entire process of daydreaming and then putting her dreams on paper was fun. Over the next few weeks, E.J. found that she couldn’t stop writing. She wrote dozens more poems and eventually moved on to writing and illustrating her own books, which she’d share with her classmates.

I’m Dan Eitreim and I worked as a professional photographer running my own photo studio for over 20 years. I’ve never apprenticed or worked for any other photographers. Because of this, I’ve had to learn and develop my photography skills on my own.
