Glitter is Gold
If life were a book of poems, this would be it. Stylistically, each poem has spoken word as its root but may transform into one kind of poem or another. It’s plain poetry, it’s emotional, it’s free, and it’s somewhere between darkness and light. Sheva Sahara goes from the topic of pain and inspirations all the way to manifestations. Pick a category at random or read them in order, this book contains five: pain and inspirations, family and relations, love and sensations, hopes and aspirations, and manifestations. Each category of poetry represents a period of time in life that the author has been through, and you likely have too.

Sheva Sahara is a 20-year-old African-American who lives in Maryland. She was born on May 28th, 1998 and she prides herself on being a Gemini. Her family consists of her two parents, Harold and Chante’, and her older sister, Bathsheba. Sheva started writing at the age of 9, having a preexisting passion for reading for as long as she can remember. She started off writing in idle notebooks she found at home, but eventually transferred her work to a writing website at the age of 11. Sheva wrote fictional teen romance, paranormal romance, fantasy, and poetry. At the age of 13, she moved to another writing website and gained over 40,000 followers for her books. Over the course of 7 years, she became most known for the following online titles: He Wore A Hood, Hot Shots, and Finding Wes. Sheva now writes with a focus on fantasy with romance or romance in general. Her goals are to publish her past and future works. Her current hobbies include writing (of course), spending time with her boyfriend, and reading. Sheva’s reason for writing has and always will be to connect with others, to reveal her feelings, and to make someone feel like they’re a little less alone even if they’re a thousand miles away. She strongly believes in the power of words, and that is her conviction.
The Sisters Tales
In the aftermath of the Black Dunes War, the kingdom was a mere shadow of its former glory. Although victorious, it was at all too great a cost. Widows and orphans were to be found throughout the land. Many of these sought a meagre existence in the capital city, swelling its population. The city itself was full of contrasts. The palace and university quarters continued to thrive, as did the market precinct near New Guildhall. Much of the rest of the metropolis had descended into squalor, however. This was especially true in the districts of The Alleys, and Back Lane. The Alleys was the “shadier” part of the capital. Brothels, ale houses, and gambling dens abounded there. The narrow ways were often awash with refuse both literal and human. The Back Lane was, in fact, little more than a shanty-town despite being within the city walls. Many of the buildings there were on the brink of collapse, but it was here that many of the kingdom’s refugees clung to life.It is precisely in these latter environs that a dispirit band of women made a stand against their misfortunes, and set out to determine their own fates. These heroic, or at least anti-heroic, souls were collectively known as “The Sisters.”

River Boy by Alan Daniels
About River Boy by Alan Daniels
Kirk’s problem is he can walk on water – and no one has had that gig for 2,000 years. But can a skinny Canadian kid, raised in a small town by a single mother, really be the Son of God? Kirk just wants to be a normal teenager, hanging out with his girlfriend, stocking shelves at the corner store. But when he is caught on CCTV cameras walking across floodwaters to save his mother’s life, all hell breaks loose.
Mixing murder, satire, and teenage romance, Canadian author Alan Daniels weaves an extraordinary story of how humanity – and the Christian establishment – might react today to the long-awaited Second Coming. At its core is a question that has survived centuries: If there is a creator, an Almighty God, why is the world in such a mess?

MASTUPORT
MASTUPORT is a dark comedy about the only portable device capable of giving pleasure to men, without anyone noticing. Setting an end to the traditional way of conceptual masturbation in private by shaping and shifting the experience into the open world, the book explores the social repercussions if such a device is presented onto society. The device gets introduced by the Founder who portrays it as the right remedy for spicing up a dull experience repeated over and over again in a cyclic boredom. The device manages to reach the market but gets strong opposition from a Preacher who is convinced that it is a sign of deviancy obscuring people’s minds by leading them towards the gates of shame and immorality. Being certain that god himself has given him a sign to stop this madness, he takes action by mobilizing massive groups and advocating in a divine plan that the purity of life consists in getting rid of this device. What follows is a constant battle of ideologies, strange riots, reactions and counter reactions, culminating into a surprising unexpected ending. Read the complete first chapter at www.mastuport.com

30 Years Behind Bars: My Life and Times Running the British Pub
About 30 Years Behind Bars: My Life and Times Running the British Pub
I am not a famous person. I have not been to the moon, won the F.A. Cup or murdered anyone. I’m not even well known in my block of flats, where I now reside. But, for thirty years my view of life was from behind a ramp, that most British of institutions, serving people short and tall, black and white, good and evil, funny and sad, mundane and mad. My primary experience of this world has been shaped and influenced by alcohol through drinking it, selling it and observing thousands of others being affected by it in their own peculiar fashion. Most publicans are too thick, too busy or too pissed to do this, so it’s a viewpoint that hasn’t yet been observed and a book that hasn’t yet been read. Anyone who has worked or drank at any point in any Great British pub, will find something in here that they will recognise and relate to.
It’s my story of 30 Years Behind Bars.

Contact, Three True Encounters: Transcribed from the Himalayan Field Notes of Explorer M.G. Hawking
About Contact, Three True Encounters: Transcribed from the Himalayan Field Notes of Explorer M.G. Hawking
Free on Amazon 4/12 – 4/14/19. While in a remote region of the Himalayas, explorer M.G. Hawking and his companions experience three encounters with individuals they believe to be the true “celestials” of ancient legends. Explore these extraordinary encounters and the profound knowledge they reveal.
The encounters revealed in this book, insofar as extensive research indicates, have no counterpart in available world literature. The underlying concepts are present in a few profound literatures, but no detailed description of a true encounter with the Ri-iha-mo, the legendary Himalayan celestial goddesses, or “mountain goddesses,” as the Tibetan term translates. Such accounts may exist, but have apparently remained sealed.
Who—or what—are the Ri-iha-mo? Throughout Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and the Himalayan regions of India, there has endured an extraordinary ancient legend of “celestial” beings, the Ri-iha-mo, who, having arrived in an antediluvian era of prehistory, still dwell in a concealed inner region of the vast frozen fortress of the Himalayas. The earliest known reference to the celestials appears in extant fragments of the scriptures of the 4000 year-old pre-Tibetan Zhang Zhung culture of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, yet those texts refer in turn to writings several thousand years older than themselves, and additional references can be found in a number of ancient writings, and in the wisdom traditions of cultures throughout Asia.
The creation stories of cultures worldwide relate that their progenitors came from the sky, the stars, or the heavens. Ancient Egyptian texts speak of their “bringers of knowledge” coming from Orion and Sirius. Native Americans recount that their antecedents were the “Sky People” or “Star People.” Throughout South America there exists a richly analogous storehouse of legends describing the arrival of “Star Beings.”
The builders of Teotihuacan describe their gods as having descended from the heavens. The pre-Tibetan culture, the Mayan, the pre-Incan, the Sumerian, and so many others, all express the same story in diverse symbolic languages—their “gods” came from the stars, bringing advanced knowledge and the gift of civilization. Many of these cultures were greatly separated both geographically and chronologically, yet their creation stories are strikingly similar and, in some cases, essentially identical.
The B’on theogony of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau’s ancient Zhang Zhung culture relates that their “king of the gods” arrived from the emptiness of space in a “resplendent jeweled egg” of “lha of bright light,” at which time “in the sky there appeared dazzling lights, melodious sounds in space, and many other wonderful occurrences.”
Are these ubiquitous traditions merely myths? Are they simply embellished legends passed down through generations beyond count? Or are they representative of some vaguely remembered and carefully preserved reality? Absent an ember, there can be no smoke; there is a kernel of truth in all such enduring creation stories and, especially in light of today’s astronomical knowledge, they cannot be easily, or wisely, dismissed.
Transcribed from the field notes of Hawking’s sixty-two months in the Himalayas, this book contains detailed narratives of the experiences he and his companions had with the actual Ri-iha-mo, revealing profound revelations about our Universe, our history, and our true nature, knowledge that can greatly assist in understanding ourselves, our world, and our role and power in creating precisely the life we desire. 2019 Edition, Kindle e-reader page count 300 (actual count varies with the reading device). J.M. Coetzee`s Disgrace and Racism in Post-Apartheid South Africa by Shafqat M.
About J.M. Coetzee`s Disgrace and Racism in Post-Apartheid South Africa by Shafqat M.
“Disgrace, Coetzee and Racism” is a short, comprehensive, and critical study guide to Disgrace by J. M. Coetzee, which won him Booker Prize. The subject of racism in post-apartheid South Africa, as explored by Coetzee in his novel, Disgrace, undoubtedly demands a separate study of its own. But due to the dearth of such material, graduate and undergraduate students find it hard to lay hands on study material which comprehensively and in a critical manner touches upon the theme of double-blind of racism in Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee. The author felt an urgency for a book that would deal with the subject of racism in Disgrace, and borne out of that effort is the well-researched and comprehensive essay on J.M. Coetzee`s Disgrace: Racism in Post-Apartheid South Africa. It is hoped that the book will be of great help to the students dealing with the novel of J. M. Coetzee, especially Disgrace. If you are looking for postcolonial criticism of Disgrace by Coetzee, claim this book right now.
In the novel, it is David Lurie and her daughter who suffer at the hands of blacks. But, it is David Lurie again who ravishes her black student Melaine Isaacs. The novel abounds in such instances where the tormentor is tormented, the discriminator is discriminated and violence is met with double-violence. Is it ‘double-blind of racism’ where blacks and whites lock horns and go head to head against each other, neither of the party a winner nor the loser, on the battlefield of racism? To find the answer to such questions, go through the book and you will get it.

The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot: A Modernist Text of Poetry by Shafqat M.
About The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot: A Modernist Text of Poetry by Shafqat M.
The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot – A Modernist Text of Poetry, is a short and critical essay on T. S. Eliot`s ‘The Waste Land’ as a text of modern poetry. The book examines the prominent and easily discernible elements in the poem The Waste Land that make it a profoundly modernist text of poetry. In order to allow students to acquaint themselves with the general literary subject of modernism in literature, the author has devoted a separate chapter to the topic under the heading of, An Introduction to Modernism in 20th Century Literature.
In addition to that, the book also contains a supplementary essay on W. B. Yeats`s poetry entitled ‘Unity of Being as a Philosophy in Yeats`s Poetry’. It will be especially helpful in understanding his poem Among School Children.
In short, whether you are reading The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot as an undergraduate or graduate student, this study guide for T. S. Eliot`s The Waste Land is a must-read in the sense that it deals with modernism in Eliot`s poetry in detailed and well-researched manner. For the complete appreciation of The Waste Land, undertaking the study of literary modernism is extremely important. It will be helpful in dealing with the poetry of T. S. Eliot in particular, all other modern poets in general.

1984 by George Orwell: Reading the Novel in Post-Trump Context by Shafqat Mushtaq
About 1984 by George Orwell: Reading the Novel in Post-Trump Context by Shafqat Mushtaq
The question is: Why is ‘1984’ suddenly a must-read? The book tries to answer it in the context of Donald J. Trump`s election as the President of the United States of America.
Never in history had dystopian novels been read as intimately as readers do now, after the election of Doland Trump as the president of the United States. Earlier it was like watching from another planet – as humanity is in constant pursuit of finding a new abode – earth destroy itself because of the imminent catastrophe, a handiwork of totalitarian regimes. It was like keeping in suspension the real world and letting yourself get immersed in the imaginary world of the book. But that luxury is no longer available. Particularly, if you are about to revisit 1984, a novel by George Orwell! Going through it gives the feeling that you live the catastrophe instead of witnessing it; you feel it very much around you almost to the point where you can sense it. In a way, when you close the book, you are left with a feeling of terrible anxiety, a heavy heart, and bitterness, because dystopia to today`s readers is so familiar a reality. It kind of turns the world upside down and you feel what you`re reading is the real world and what you`re made to believe is real world is not. Because so much is fed into our consciousness through mass media that it is hard to differentiate between reality and imagination. To separate propaganda from news has become too complex a task that people don`t care anymore, they just consume.

Pizza Boys and Jersey Girls by Tomi Dean Lynch
About Pizza Boys and Jersey Girls by Tomi Dean Lynch
It was a wet and rainy spring night when Bonny first saw the man of her dreams. She was just a kid and he was old enough to be her father but when he touched her hand, the pulse of electricity that ran through her was like nothing she could have ever imagined.
Danny was the manager of Pizza Mia, a local hang out for the kids of this North Jersey town. It was the mid 1980’s and the attached video arcade and one dollar slices only added to the allure for most, but Bonny only needed one thing to keep her coming back. A smile or a wink from the dreamy eyed man behind the counter.
Years would pass before the two would actually meet outside the walls of Pizza Mia. She was, after all, too young to touch when they met but Danny had wanted nothing more than to unleash the untapped passion in this girl who worshiped him.
Some dreams don’t always work out as planned and the two are separated soon after their first night together. Legal issues cause Danny to flee for the safer shores or Florence and Bonny goes on to find love with Carlo, who is more her age but the journey isn’t over for these star crossed lovers whose paths will reconnect in a tangled tale of jealousy, longing, intrigue and possibly murder.

Tomi Dean Lynch is an author from Northern New Jersey specializing in contemporary romance and gentle erotica. She likes stories with heart, soul and just enough heat to make you check over your shoulder while you read.
Growing up in New Jersey in the nineteen-eighties inspired her debut novel, Pizza Boys and Jersey Girls. It was a simpler time when sexual exploration seemed safe. The spotlight on androgynous rockers and scantily clad dancers on MTV brought a freedom of sexual expression to the decade that Tomi loves to explore in her work.
Tomi enjoys traveling and the outdoors. She is an avid gardener and loves taking hikes with her dog. She’s easily lured from her lair using wine, coffee, or cheesecake and her one true love is a twenty year old African Grey Parrot.
1915 by Melina Druga
Part two in the A Tale of Two Nations series.
Spring 1915 is consumed with two traumatic events.
Canada endures a trial by fire at the Second Battle of Ypres. While the Canadians are ultimately successful – to the pride of their countrymen – the battle marks the first widespread use of chlorine gas. The gas moved across the ground like a yellow-green fog, damaged the mucus membranes and caused asphyxiation.
Meanwhile, Americans are rocked by the torpedoing of the Lusitania, an ocean liner that – like the Titanic – was thought to be unsinkable. The sinking cost the lives of nearly 1,200 people including women, children and babies, and split the United States into two camps – those who wanted war and those who still believed in neutrality.

Free Spirit Trapped: A Poetry Anthology by Matthew Marchon
About Free Spirit Trapped: A Poetry Anthology by Matthew Marchon

Intense… Vulnerable… Lyrical… Heartbreaking… Profound…
For years I wielded the microphone as if it were a sword, my only weapon. My books of poetry, my shield. The intricacy of rhymes woven together transformed my weakest moments into an artform. It gave me strength. It gave me hope. It gave me reason. And now I give it to you.
Every poem is a chest compression. A breath blown into the lungs of a ghost. This is me, throwing a rope into the depths of depression, hoping to retrieve the me lost within it. I found him, beaten down, bruised, hanging by a thread. Imprisoned by society’s standards as much as my own. A free spirit, trapped.
This collection of poetry spans over 20 years. 36 poems and verses. This isn’t your average book of abstract poems and questionable metaphors that pause in places you don’t understand. This is raw, unfiltered, heartless yet heartfelt emotion with rhyme patterns within rhyme patterns that spill from the pen of a poet who dreamed of being so much more.
You can find it for FREE on Amazon, Google Play, IBooks, Barnes & Noble and Kobo.

How do you squeeze an entire life into an about the author blurb? They were designed to give you a personal connection to the person who writes the books you love. I don’t think anything can be more in depth than a collection of poems written when an author was at their lowest. But poems are nothing but photographs of a particular moment, and although they tell a story, they only tell small parts of it.
So for those of you wondering, I was born into a middle class family and lived in a middle class neighborhood, in what is regarded as one of the worst places to live in the entire state, Willimantic CT. It’s every inner city you see across America. And my parents tried their best to protect me from it. I held onto my innocence for as long as I could. But I think we all have our breaking point. We can only get picked on and bullied, forgotten, for so long.
The summer before ninth grade, with my little sister, my only friend, by my side, I recorded my first song. I found hip-hop, a connection to this environment I called home. It spoke to me at a time when no one else would. That was the day I became a rapper.
The streets embraced me. I was thrust into a position I wasn’t ready for, but I graciously accepted. Over the next four years, I found myself, or lost myself, depending on how you look at it. In the end, I failed. No one was willing to take a chance on me.
One by one, my friends fell victim to the life that claimed so many before us. Unwilling to die in the streets, a starving artist trying to make a name for himself, I did what we’d always talked about, I left. I left Willimantic behind before it could kill me.
I moved to Maine. Went to college. Got a job. Got a home. Got married. Got another job. Got that normal life I’d spent so many nights hoping for. It wasn’t me. I went from being a local celebrity, touching people’s lives, living in the fast lane on the edge, to… a retail employee, barely scraping by on minimum wage.
I was lost. I’d known myself as a rapper for so long, it was hard to remember a version of myself that wasn’t. So I searched for him, looking in all the places he’d frequent as a child. I got back into hiking, collecting action figures, artwork, writing stories and poetry, everything that made me who I was before I was a rapper. Stories turned into novels. Exploring trailless mountains turned into hiking guides. Poems turned into anthologies. I found new ways for my words to touch people.
I do this for the chance that it might affect you in some way. Today, I’m every incarnation of myself I’ve been over the years, all of them as real as can possibly be. All of them, me.

Going Deeper: Angels and Dreams
About Going Deeper: Angels and Dreams
This is a book of image and of poetry that embraces the angelic. The desire of the Angel is to lead us to evolve beyond our genetics and our circumstances in order to live Life fully, following Destiny as we gather Wisdom from the two ways of being in the world, being rooted and cresting in flight. We walk with the earth through the senses of our bodies and fly with the angels with the intuition in our hearts, but we understand it all within the reality of everyday by reflecting with our minds.
There is a season and a time for becoming and the angel takes us to that threshold. Image takes us to the edge of what we know. Listening, allowing and reflecting upon that image takes us beyond knowing to inspiration, innovation, healing, and renewal.
Images when allowed to be open and pregnant with meaning enter each life as they should when the time is right for each person. The image is the language of the divine; it is the voice through which the subtle beings of the world speak. Wisdom is hidden in the words of a poem,
In the light of the image, in the rhythm of the song, in the droop of the aging flower. It is all around us as the good in everything and the compassion between all things.

Pushing the River
Rick Kogan, Chicago Tribune: “A remarkable book. An unbelievable pleasure. Stylish. Packs an emotional punch.”
In Pushing the River, Barbara Monier’s third novel, a family crisis erupts when a fifteen-year-old becomes pregnant and decides to keep the baby.
Madeline describes her house as an empty shell inhabited by ghosts. She has been living alone for years, keeping to a few rooms, surrounded by the possessions of her ex-husband and grown children. Over the course of four months, people accumulate in the household one by one—including Madeline’s new love interest, who unexpectedly shows up carrying grocery bags full of his clothes.
Pushing the River is told largely through Madeline’s eyes. As we discover how she came to “push the river,” the unfolding action is interspersed with Madeline’s memories of her own mother, driving a message of sometimes-anarchic confusion, occasional angst, and powerfully abiding love across the generations of a familiar American family.

CAN LOVE MEND A HEART FULL OF HATRED?
Small town girl, Molly Bennett, moves to Los Angeles where she becomes an outsider while attending Beverly Hills High School. It seems life cannot be any more dreadful. Then one day after school, something magical happens. On a secluded hike in the Hollywood Hills, Molly chases her disobedient mutt and only friend into a hidden cavern. She stumbles upon a strange glimmering gateway that transports her to Arkana, a planet that is the cradle of an advanced human race. There, teenagers navigate amazing flying vehicles, compete in perilous games for glory, and possess supernatural powers. While Molly tries to wrap her mind around this unbelievable discovery, she meets the alluring and mysterious Victor Sorren. He is a Sentinel Apprentice, whose hatred toward people from Earth is beyond understanding. Yet every time Victor unpredictably saves Molly’s life, his heart draws closer to hers, no matter how much he tries to fight against it. It further complicates things that their growing friendship is strictly forbidden. Earth people are prohibited in Arkana, yet Molly continues to cross through the portal to Arkana to see Victor. Torn between their double lives, they go down a dangerous path, from where there is no return and multiple endings.
Would you fight to be with the one you truly love? What cost would you be willing to sacrifice for that love?

Okay, I’m a late bloomer who’s a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore in the U.S. but have had a weird wanderlust to live in different parts of America ever since. That’s enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I’m all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I’m capable of doing more than I realized. That’s my goal with everything I’ve ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There’s something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That’s basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I’m setting out to tell.
