It is obvious the battle between good and evil is heating up. It is no longer popular to believe, to have faith or profess your Christianity. It is a time when all that matters to most is what they want for themselves. Selfishness is running rampant. Cold hearts, lack of love and conscience are evident.
One solution found is going to pull most down to the level of those doing this evil. As has been said is all evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing.’

For several decades in addition to other jobs, I wrote. Mainly non -fiction for many online websites and several in print places. I worked for weekly newspapers. I was involved in Parenting Today’s Teen in a couple capacities. I was a Small Business Examiner and also wrote articles for rescue pets at the Examiner. I wrote for Helium, Associated Content, Suite 101 where I specialized in party and holiday articles. I covered many topics but many of my articles were parenting ones many geared towards foster parents. I also wrote a non -fiction book about our many years as foster parents and working with clients and young people and their families. Just recently I began to expand my writing and released my first fiction book. It is called Ultimate Betrayal. There are similar titles so find the one by Jo Ann Wentzel. It is a Christian book about end times and good versus evil. It features a ‘what if ‘scenario where a certain criminal element explodes till no one knows what to do with them. A – It’s a mixture of things, actually. When I started writing these books, I wanted to create a series of books that I would love to read. I love paranormal romances and vampire love stories, but I also love books with some action and a strong female character. I tried to roll of these interests into one series.
The Remembering Raven books are a mix of romance, sex, longing, occult, and mystery. I also tried to create some really memorable supporting characters too, that I hope readers will enjoy.

Unknowingly altering the course of history, Kurt Vonnegut released “Jailbird” the same week KISS gained infamy on The Tomorrow Show. The aftermath of this collision would not be felt for decades until the emergence of Justin Bieber.
After a night filled with mayhem and destruction and the deaths of several prominent entertainers, politicians and a notorious bank robber, the Federal government was forced to loan $1.5 billion dollars to Chrysler. This spurred a series of violent protests, resulting in the Brunah Agate oil spill. Over 10.7 million gallons of oil were dumped into the Galveston Bay. This became the worst oil spill disaster in U.S. history.

I’m not sure if 2016 will see the 3rd in this series being completed, but we shall see. Not being attached to a single genre, I tend to write whatever grips me at the time. This is what happened with ‘Unflinching’, my first Western. The story simply rolled out of me and, since its publication, it has become my most successful novel to date. It briefly received ‘best-seller’ status and continues to do well. I’m now fully immersed in the old West (in all honesty, Westerns have forever been my favourite era. The very first book I read was a Western and now I’m writing them myself!). I have written the 2nd in the series featuring the laconic Simms, a Pinkerton detective, and have a 3rd already planned out. This may well be my main focus now.
Nevertheless, despite the above, 2016 should see at least 3 more novels of mine published. Two more thrillers, and a horror set in Germany. You never know, I might even add that further Viking story and a couple more Westerns. Six books out in one year. Not bad, but I have a lot of lost years to make up for. I should have done all this twenty-odd years ago, but life tended to get in the way, as it often does. Now, writing gets in the way of life, which is a far better situation.

Robert W Oliver II was born in Florence, Alabama, in 1980. He spent his childhood in the Shoal Area. His first memory of writing was when he used an old manual typewriter at his grandfather’s store. During his school years, he wrote a number of short stories and even published a weekly newspaper for his school.
As a teenager, and with the arrivals of computers, he started to program computer games, which he still equates to writing. He also started to design and develop websites. He started his own business as a web designer and developer, and he is still at the head of his company that now employs four people full-time.
With his early career out of the way, Robert W Oliver II decided to return to his first passion. Following the old advice to write about what he knew, he started by publishing some articles in IT journals. This led him to start thinking up his first full-length fiction piece in the late 2000’s. With his first trilogy under his belt, Robert W Oliver II is now working on a new and completely different project. This book will be a supernatural/fantasy tale taking place during the migration westward via the Oregon Trail.
