TV series I enjoy include Babylon 5 and Firefly, so I’m influenced by English, American and Japanese storytelling.
I love aviation, I fly light aircraft and teach people to fly, so not surprisingly aircraft often appear in my novels at some point.
The world I’ve created for Evosium is not futuristic but realistic; it’s set in a colonised Outer Solar System, remote from Earth and Mars. It’s populated by robust characters; real people who fight and argue, but also wind each other up and laugh together as well. I hope you have as much fun reading Evosium as I did writing it.

A – It’s a mixture of things, actually. When I started writing these books, I wanted to create a series of books that I would love to read. I love paranormal romances and vampire love stories, but I also love books with some action and a strong female character. I tried to roll of these interests into one series.
The Remembering Raven books are a mix of romance, sex, longing, occult, and mystery. I also tried to create some really memorable supporting characters too, that I hope readers will enjoy.

I was born in Manchester into a large family of seven brothers and five sisters.
As a child our playground was Belle Vue, one of the largest amusement parks in Europe. There are many stories I could tell about those days, and maybe one day I will. I have always been known as a storyteller.
As a very young girl, I developed a voracious passion for books, and I read all the classics: Dickens, Eliot, Trollope, and Hardy.
During my teens it was Stephen King and James Herbert, and then I got a taste of the political thriller with Daniel Silva’s “Moscow Rules”.
For “Rings of Smoke”, I drew on real life experiences, particularly in respect of the protagonist Erin Fallon. With stalkers, a runaway mother and abduction, I had the bones for what I believed was a good story.
I first published the book on Amazon in October 2012 in order to test the market. Although I thought I had something sellable, I needed to know what total strangers thought about it and I have to say that the feedback was very encouraging. The few negative reviews were most helpful in showing me where the story was lacking, resulting in a much improved third edition, which led to the book deal with BNBS in September 2015.

I was born to a family of doctors in Leningrad at the end of August 1954, under the star sign Virgo, two days before the date of birth of the Great Russian author Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, who was born on the 28th of August, 1828. So, the stars assured me of especially good company.
Since my entire family were doctors: my grandmother was a children’s doctor, my grandfather was a dentist, my mother was a doctor of Internal Medicine, my father was a psychiatrist, it was certain that I would follow in their footsteps. At the end of the 70s I immigrated to Israel from Leningrad with my spouse and small son. That city has since returned to its old name from before the revolution: St. Petersburg. In our possession were several suitcases full of books and I held in my hands a Doctor’s diploma as a graduate of the University of Leningrad.
After a year of absorption and acquisition of the Hebrew language, I served in the Israeli Defense Forces in the elite Golani division. I participated in the Lebanon War in 1982. I witnessed death before my eyes. I was injured but survived and cared for soldiers on the battlefield. I lost several soldier friends in that war. That was the bitterest experience of my life. After my discharge from the army I was accepted to a department of Eye Medicine and completed a degree in Ophthalmology.
During my literary career I published short stories in Israel and abroad, a diary of the Lebanon War, publicity pieces, a play, and wrote a story: “The Green Dome,” which is still resting in my drawer. The novel “Children of Sodom” was published in 2009 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Another novel was recently published in Russian on the internet.
