Then I went back again a few years later and earned my Masters Degree in Literature and Creative Writing.

After a very bad bout of writer’s block, my friends and family helped me get back to the writing life and I came upon the idea of The Fixer. Since there are other stories out there of professional “fixers,” I decided my series would be an origin story. How did Katerina Mills find herself in this line of work? The story has grown and changed in ways I could not have imagined. I think sometimes my characters are telling their own story and I’m just the stenographer taking it all down! But I have fallen in love with these characters and I can’t wait to see what happens to them.

I’m hard at work on the next book of the series, The Killing Kind. After all these years, I haven’t changed much. I’m still that same girl, still daydreaming, still making up stories.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At the age of 8, he was assisting his aunt and cousin, learning the art of sewing and fabrics/colors matching. He attended an exclusive private boarding school in the United Kingdom before obtaining his Diploma in Fashion Design at the Harrow College of Art & Technology in London, England. He went on to complete his Master of Design at the Royal College of Art & Design, London, England. During his college years he won several international fashion awards and was already retailing bridal and evening dresses to several well known department stores in England. Liberty of London, Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols to name a few that carried his designs. His Royal College of Art graduation wedding/evening wear collection was sold to Liberty of London and displayed in their store windows for the entire month of June that year.

For four years, he worked for Liberty’s bridal department as their in-house designer until a trip to Hong Kong, while working on a freelance project for ‘Bird’s’(casual wear) company, he was recruited by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as their Fashion professor for the next 6 years. During his stay in Hong Kong, he freelanced for numerous fashion companies. From designing casual wear, swimwear, lingerie, and fur garments, men’s wear, bridal and evening fashions to accessories (bags, shoes, and head-wear). He also participated and organized numerous fashion shows, events, functions, and presentations in the Asia Pacific region.

Working for Keys Far East Hong Kong as chief lingerie designer – travelling extensively to the United States, he was soon recruited as an Associate Fashion Design/Illustration Professor to the University of Wisconsin, Madison and also lectured at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design for a couple of years.

Foong was then appointed as the Fashion Development Manager by an established department store – Parkson Grand (22 stores in Malaysia and one in Shanghai, China). Producing under the label, Natural Life by Bernard Foong, he designed casual-wear collections for the Parkson Grand’s flagship store in Kuala Lumpur. After a couple of years later, he was invited by the Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore to join their design school to establish a Fashion Design department. For two years, he assisted several founding members of the design school – working on the fashion department’s teaching curriculum.

The Fitzgerald Theatre Department, University of Hawaii, Manoa, Oahu, Hawaii awarded a full scholarship for Foong to complete his second Master of Art in Theatre Costuming. Now a resident on the Island of Maui, he has assisted many charity organizations in their fund raising events with his extravagant fashion and performance shows/presentations. In 2005, he and his partner, Mr. Walter Jay Bissett opened Fire Dragon Bistro Orient & Design Shop. He also designs costumes/fashions for numerous theatrical productions in Hawaii and abroad.

Appointed as chief lingerie designer for Cerie International Limited – Hong Kong, his lingerie designs can be found in major department stores in Canada and the United Kingdom.

He showcased the BERNARD FOONG R-T-W collections and BERNARD FOONG @ Modern Classic Ltd. (an established – Hong Kong bridal & evening wear company) collections in Hong Kong. His 2008 & 2009 bridal/evening/bridal lingerie fashion show, “Grace” & “Coming Up Roses” were premiered at Hong Kong Fashion Week in July 2007 and January 2008 respectively at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center, garnering positive interest in many Asian press reviews, including a China nationwide television broadcast of his latest collection. Aika (International Opera Singer) wore several Bernard Foong special occasion dresses at her Japan & European tour in September & October 2009.

Foong was the chief Creative Director for Official (Special Occasion fashion manufacturing company) Guangzhou, China producing – BERNARD FOONG Couture (specialty one-of-a-kind creations), White (RTW – Wedding/Special Occasion wear), Foxy Cute (Smart Casual/Cocktail wear), SexZ (decorative bustier) & Diva Bitch (sexual lingerie inner/outer-wear) collections.

I was born in 1948, at the northeastern edge of East Africa’s ‘Mountains of the Moon’ (Ruwenzori Mountains). My father, a former WWI Prussian Army officer, turned crocodile hunter/farmer and my Ugandan mother (a Nurse) followed the European Émigré tradition of sending their children to school in England. This book is a report on a journey of discovery.

Most of my working life was spent as an economist and civil servant in the field of water management. When, on retirement, I was freed from dealing with work-a-day problems, I set off on a private search for a rather broader perspective on the human experience and quite naturally started out from the familiar. I have wandered far and wide on a meandering journey, like that of water itself. I have explored the interface between humankind and this deceptively bland, colorless, tasteless and odorless substance. I have delved into creation myths; looked at the emergence of civilizations and their decay; pondered the place of water in the human psyche, as expressed in art and poetry and folklore; considered its role as a factor of production, a source of energy, a conduit of transportation and a consumer good. In passing, my attention has been caught by wishing wells and water closets, changing concepts of physical and spiritual cleanliness, and a miscellany of comic and curious trivia. And I have turned to the natural sciences in search of answers to the question why this one simple substance should have such an all-pervading influence on our lives.

The book has no pretensions to being an academic work. Lacking the tools to deal more than superficially with most of the subjects touched upon, I turned to the insights and scholarship of others for help. This will be abundantly clear to anyone glancing at the quotations that grace the text, or browsing through the bibliography and endnotes. I have done my best fully to acknowledge my indebtedness to others and if I have failed anywhere I take this opportunity of apologizing most sincerely. I was delivered to a Baptist family, the family Gubbitch, by my uncle Tzvi, who was watching over me from afar all that time.There I lived untill the end of the war, when my parents returned from the concentration camps, and took me back. In the year 1949 we emigrated from Czechoslovakia to Israel.

As I was so very young, I naturally don’t have concrete, conscious memories of that period.
The story `Zhito and the Litle Princess` tells in a metaphoric, legend-like way, what I have been through during that time, and serves as a monument to those who were there with me.

The natural ‘Women’s Breast Health’ procedure I’m about to teach you was discovered by the late Mr. Tom Bowen of Perth, Australia during the mid-1900’s. This gentle and noninvasive technique has been used successfully to promote natural breast health in thousands of women around the world.

Border Collage of Natural Therapies in Australia conducted a research study of the effects of Bowen therapy using Medical Thermal Imaging (MII). A consternation, as you should remember from grade school, is the collective noun for monsters. I thought it a fitting title for a collection of short stories that each contain monsters of various sorts and shades. In these tales, a creature of make-believe proves difficult to disbelieve, a trickster-god takes an unkindly interest in witnesses, eldritch horrors can be summoned with a quilt, frustrated wolves face dangerous prey, the angel of death wears a plaid sport coat, wise old women are to be feared and heeded, Elvis remains king, the corpses of legends can be perilous to have around, and where one of the most powerful objects in the world is a fork.

The settings for the stories span from rural Mississippi, Appalachia, the desert southwest, Alaska, and on to Memphis, Tennessee.

Readers who enjoy the work of Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Douglas Adams, Robert Anton Wilson, Mario Puzo, TV’s Brian Fuller, (with a bit of Patrick McManus thrown in for good measure), should find these stories to be a satisfying meal.

The last time I had anyone read a story I had written was in High School in the early eighties. Since I was a teenager I have always had a fascination with stories of the fantastical, supernatural and science fiction. My story is inspired by classic – H.G.Wells, George Orwell, Frank Herbert – and contemporary – Stephen King, James Herbert, George R. R. Martin – writers. I love the way they can craft a universe of such vivacity and imagination, and that is probably where any similarity with my story ends. I hope, with my first outing as a writer I can inspire such worlds and creations within my readers. I live in Stourbridge, England with my wife, son and the world’s most lovely dog Shem. Q – So, what makes your shifter romances special?

A – It’s a mixture of things, actually. When I started writing these books, I wanted to create a series of books that I would love to read. I love paranormal romances and shifter love stories, but I also love books with some action, danger, suspense, and a strong female character. I try to roll all of these interests into my books.

My shifter books are a mix of romance, sex, longing, danger, and mystery. I also try to create some really memorable settings, whether it be historical, fantasy, or present-day, that I hope readers will enjoy.

Q – What else do you like to write?

A – I love other paranormal genres, such as vampires, psychics, and ghosts. I have a vampire/psychic suspenseful romance series, called Remembering Raven. These books take place in New Orleans where there is an evil vampire orchestrating murders of young women. The psychic heroine and her vampire soul mate re-connect after being separated centuries ago to try to solve the murders. There are six books in the series, including the free prequel. They are called:
