As other galaxies fill their teams with the meanest, most devious and violent inhabitants, a human boy’s grossly mistaken teleportation is observed by scornful, but amused antennae.
“Bright rays of purple light slowly extended towards him as the cycle picked up speed. He backed himself against the wall but with nowhere left to go the first purple rays fell upon him. There was no pain, just the opposite. It felt like a thousand feathers were being run along his skin from head to foot. But this didn’t stop him screaming as he saw out of the corner of his eye the right side of his face stretching out towards the Ultrabox before disappearing into a rainbow of individual colours. BILLY is like any other fourteen year-old boy, with a few exceptions — he’s isolated on an alien planet inhabited by two metre tall, green bugs and being used as a marketing gimmick to boost ticket sales for the most spectacular sporting showcase in the galaxy. Then there are the gruelling training sessions against the training bots and boffball cannons. That’s before he even steps into the tank.
During the tournament, Billy and the team mates must overcome a variety of outlandish, alien teams – horned, clawed and winged, trying to roll, burrow, splurge, morph, regurgitate and bludgeon their way to victory.
“The tentacle launched the ball towards another pile close to Billy. The ball landed slap in the middle of the brown Plopper gunk. As Billy ran to close it down it immediately shifted into a new form.

For Billy and the Paniathons, hard work isn’t enough – tactical changes, sacrifice, a revival of ancient, lost abilities and some human qualities are all used as the tournament progresses. This doesn’t go unnoticed by Korak and the Drakarts, who view Paniathon and more specifically, Billy, as an increasing threat to their own plans to win the trophy.
In the tank Billy has to face fierce alien boffball teams, whilst out of it, he and his team mates have to deal with sabotage, assassination attempts and betrayal as they strive to become champions of THE INTERGALACTIC CUP.

I’ve always loved books. My earliest memories are of snuggling against my mother while she read aloud all the Little Golden Books. Every Saturday I’d leave the library with my arms full of the Bobbsey Twins, Nancy Drew, and the Hardy Boys. As I grew older, my reading tastes expanded to include fantasy, biographies, political science books, and any well-written and well-crafted literary novel. I grew up in the surrounds of Pittsburgh, PA, playing in the forested foothills and wading through the streams that flow between them. After high school I attended the University of Michigan, where I earned a Masters Degree in a scientific field so far removed from creative writing that it’s mind boggling. I then entered the demanding and fast-paced world of leading-edge technology. But this inauspicious start did not deter me from my love of the written word.
In my own writing I like lead characters that are strong and resourceful women with ties to society’s fringes, allowing me to explore complex friendships and loyalties, the character’s principles, and her sense of justice. My stories are populated with thieves, cat burglars, women of the night, and social dropouts. But each one possesses kindness and compassion and a sense of obligation toward others. And each follows a strong moral code, even if that code isn’t typical of society as a whole.
My stories always include animals, since I am devoted to the fauna of our world. I feature animals in their natural settings when the tale’s continuity allows, enriching the story’s context with texture and realism. And no book should be without warmth and humor. My hope is that each of my books will provide an escape from the stress and disappointments of life for whatever hours a reader chooses to spend with it.

My whole life I had a large imagination. When I played, with my Legos or running around outside with my friends, it wasn’t just playing. I was in a different place, I was making worlds. I would dream up stories and settings, where I would normally be the lead, or at least be looking through their eyes. Playing video games was a normalcy for the escape into some uncharted and untold world where adventure awaited, which fueled my own creations.
Insomnia had been a problem for me most of my life. This was another area that I was able to fill the space with waking dreams, praying that I would be able to get to sleep. It wasn’t till I met my wife in July 2011 that I really started to contemplate what I wanted to do with my life. She was able to show me how happy I could be, just by coming into my life. So I figured that I could, and should, do that for my professional life.
I started to read more books. I had been a visual entertainment consumer for much of my life, even though most of my gaming consisted of role playing games, of a heavily text base nature. Not having the visual feedback was a different feel. I liked it.
It wasn’t until after reading a few self-help books that I started contemplating what made me happy and what how I might be able to turn that into a career. In August of 2012 I had a long conversation with my wife, who was supportive of the idea, and I started to write.
Cypher Theorem: The Zero Class was finished and self-published on October 5th of 2013. From there it’s all history.

Prolific novelist and thinker, Shlomo Kalo, one of the very few Israeli writers nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature, has published 80 titles in a variety of genres and themes.
Kalo was born in 1928 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He joined the anti-Fascist underground before reaching his teens and wound up in a concentration camp at the age of 15. After studying medicine and working as a journalist in Prague, and training as a pilot for Mahal, he immigrated to Israel in 1949. He was awarded an MSc in microbiology from Tel Aviv University in 1958. For 26 years and until his retirement, he worked as regional director of medical laboratories.
In 1969, a sharp turn in his life occurred. It subsequently affected his life, his thoughts and his highly prolific literary activity.
Shlomo Kalo wrote 80 titles, some of which were translated and published in 16 countries. He wrote novels, short fiction, literature for younger readers, non-fiction (philosophy, spirituality), a thriller and more. His short stories appeared in probably all literary magazines in Israel and the media often covered his writings and thoughts. Between the years 2006-2014 he was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Q – So, what makes your shifter romances special?
A – It’s a mixture of things, actually. When I started writing these books, I wanted to create a series of books that I would love to read. I love paranormal romances and shifter love stories, but I also love books with some action, danger, suspense, and a strong female character. I try to roll all of these interests into my books.
My shifter books are a mix of romance, sex, longing, danger, and mystery. I also try to create some really memorable settings, whether it be historical, fantasy, or present-day, that I hope readers will enjoy.
Q – What else do you like to write?
A – I love other paranormal genres, such as vampires, psychics, and ghosts. I have a vampire/psychic suspenseful romance series, called Remembering Raven. These books take place in New Orleans where there is an evil vampire orchestrating murders of young women.
