MT-B was born in Sighișoara, Romania on December 25th, 1431. Since being Vlad the Impaler he has undergone many incarnations – Vincent Price, Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed, Yekaterina Alexeyevna, Lorena Bobbitt, a prostitute in Victorian Whitechapel, a passenger on the Titanic and a buccaneer executed for treason on the high seas to name but a few. Currently he is manifested as a former businessperson and resides in the UK. What inspires you to write?
Just as Nature abhors a vacuum so I loathe the dearth of utterly puerile but funny literature and feel compelled to fill the void. When not altruistically motivated I mostly write to prevent terminal boredom. Earlier this year I learned that the rest of the world regarded me as too old for employment. Time hung heavy on my hands and no amount of scrubbing would remove it. What were my options in this age of austerity? A life of crime beckoned but the competition was stiff and well-established. A life of debauchery held immense appeal but, if anything, the competition was even stiffer than crime. My lack of computational and mathematical prowess precluded a life of Pi. So writing it had to be. I dutifully dusted off my words, jokes, cobwebs and dingoes and set about the task of creating an assemblage of words that I decided to call …. a book.
So, what have you written?
When living as Donatien Alphonse François, Marquis de Sade I knocked off a few saucy tales but never got to sell the movie rights. Since then my wordsmithing has become a tad rusty but I managed to spit out the world’s first dystopian farce in “The Science of the Lambs” an irreverent look at our future history over the coming decade. The critical acclaim was deafening – I still haven’t heard anything. Undaunted by this adulation I recently completed the first book of a series called “Doing the Business”. This initial volume is titled “The Sicilian Job” and involves a clash of Business models between a Texan telecommunications company and La Cosa Nostra. Immodestly I think it is the funniest book about business since Tom Peter’s seminal rib tickler “In Search of Excellence”. Enjoy!

The adjudicator thumped the scepter into the ground three times. “By the fates, the war dragons will not return until a new emperor wins the dragon scepter.”
The crowd parted as Tekagi threaded her way toward the funeral cart waiting by the main gate. Tiger pelts adorned the two caskets. Only emperors earned the right to be entombed within the Dragon Palace. The sons were relegated to less hallowed ground.
A few of her most treasured belongings were also piled on the cart. No longer an emperor’s daughter she was being cast out of the palace. A limp tiger tail trailed over the side of the cart. She ran the tips of her obsidian finger stalls along its striped length before tucking it beneath a tapestry.
She tapped her fan against the cart’s side and the driver flicked the horses’ reins into a funeral march. Head bowed, she followed a few paces behind, flanked by her two bodyguards. As she exited through the palace gates and headed to Tiger House she patted the snake bracelet on her forearm, and vowed, “I will reclaim my birthright. Let the Emperor Games begin.”

At the suggestion of a friend, I entered my first book into the Women of Faith contest. A Mighty Fortress was a semi-finalist for the 2013 contest and after praying about the opportunity WestBow Press gave me to publish at a discounted price, I decided to publish the book independently on my own. Shortly after making this decision and sending my manuscript to a few beta readers, one of my beta readers asked what the sequel was going to be about. I hadn’t even thought about a sequel, but once the idea was planted in my brain, I came up with ideas for at least six books in the Hymns of the West series.
I love to read Historical Fiction, especially Westerns. My goal is to create clean, fun, and challenging Western stories for the whole family. That being said, I don’t gloss over the hard issues, either.
When I’m not writing, you can probably find me reading, crafting, playing piano, playing games with my family, or petting a cat (sometimes while doing one of the other things). I live with my family in the Northern Midwest on a hobby farm where I sometimes have to do some goat wrestling or feeding goat kids in the early morning because I’m the only one who wakes up that early.

I was born in Darjeeling, India in 1939 in the last decade of the British Raj. I attended Mount Hermon School, Darjeeling, where the celebrated playwright, Sir Tom Stoppard also once studied. I worked in Calcutta before migrating to England in 1969 where I worked in the PYE group of Industries in Cambridge, then joined the Civil Service and worked in Chessington, Surrey. I had to retire early due to heart problems but I found that retirement gave me more time to pursue my many hobbies, one of which was astronomy and the other writing, so I decided to put these two together and write my first book, “Over Our Heads”. I’ve always had a passion for writing ever since I was a child, and won several prizes in writing competitions during my childhood and youth. My second book, “Don’t Water the Marigolds” was my first attempt at writing a novel, and “In the Shade of the Shamiana” is my third published book. I am grateful to Harmony Kent for all the help, encouragement and support she has given me in completing this project.
I live out my retirement in my South London maisonette busily and contentedly with my two cats.

It will be fair to say that Sonador Snow’s writing career started when he was about two! At about that age his mother ‘crippled’ him for life with a vivid fantasy after starting to read to him books like ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ every night.
Once Sonador started reading himself there was no stopping him and he soon turned into part of the furniture at his local library. The first stories Sonador created himself are long lost now. In his teenage years he started entertaining his annoying little sister on the back seat of their family vehicle with fairy tales he was inventing on the go. Nothing is left of them and all he can remember is that there was a rabbit, a prince and a naughty tortoise. He can’t tell if the stories were good or not, but the fact was that his sister kept quiet during the long journeys and sat listening to him.
After battling his way through all the ranks of education and trying to build ‘a happy’ life following all the rules of the rat race for years he finally decided that it was about time to give up the impossible and start living miserably but doing what he likes most – writing and reading. Sonador spent several years ghost writing novels for others and eventually he decided to try and write one himself. “Quest for Babylon’s Soul” is hardly a classic, but if you like Indiana Jones and all masters of the suspense genre you might like this one too.

Now that the kids are out of the house (in school), she writes romantic thrillers by day and is the perfect wife and mother at night.
