PROLOGUE
The south parking lot was almost empty; only three or four cars remained. The moonlit night, affecting her as always, gave her cause to once again quicken her pace. Why did she go through this every night? Why was she always so frightened that she would not make it to her car?
If only the night security guard had come by to escort her out as he had promised. If only the parking lot had not been so damned congested when she’d gotten to work–that way she never would have had to park so far out. Only a bit further; her dilapidated Honda appeared almost redeemable in the bright moonlight–you couldn’t even see the large scratch in the door where someone in the lot had sideswiped it just last week. Of course, her luck, the one day the lot security cameras were down.
She wondered if they were operational again. Were they working now, could they see her, hurrying the last few feet to her car?
Her heels clicked faster against the blacktop, the sound literally seeming to echo eerily in the stillness…
Or, was there someone else? Following her?
Keys in hand as she reached the door, her heart stopped when she felt a sudden touch on her shoulder. “Oh, thank God it’s you,” she said, relieved, spinning around to confront the familiar face. “You almost scared me to death.”

Tony Garrett had always been interested in writing but never took the plunge. However, over the last few years he has become quite the prolific writer. What makes Tony’s story remarkable is this fact: Tony is legally blind, and–even with the assistance of digital displays–reading is a chore.
It had been 25 years since Tony had read anything as his range of sight leaves him visually incapable of reading physical books. In his own words, when it comes to books, “there is no print large enough.”
However, with the advances in modern display technology, and the malleability of digitally published works on Kindle and other apps, readers are given far more control over the appearance of stories. “It’s a much deeper subject than I expected,” stating that it was primarily his experience reading The Lord of the Rings that inspired him to take up writing. “I read Lord of the Rings and was immediately captivated by how much better it was than the films, and I LOVE the films.”

I had to pay rent, hire employees, buy and sell products, and so on. It was extremely interesting and fun, but also very exhausting. Being a business owner carries an enormous responsibility and work load. The problems you have do not go away when you go to sleep or try to take a vacation. Your business has to be run, the show must go on, and you often have to step in and do things yourself. Without the knowledge and wisdom that I needed, I was working 80 hours per week and found myself drained. I eventually sold the business and never looked back. Even though it had been my dream, it actually felt great to be free from it!
Next, before deciding what my next business venture would be, I knew that I needed to learn as much as possible. I soon realized that I had been limiting my thinking to the traditional brick-and-mortar business world, and my eyes were opened to the world of online business! I would not have to pay overheads like rent and utilities, no commute to work, smaller staff, and I could take time off whenever I wanted to! Now this was my real dream come true!
I soon found that the online world can be extremely confusing and difficult to navigate. This is why I started the Online Business Buddy website and Business Buddy Books. It took me years to learn how to successfully build an online business and I would have loved to have had some sort of guide at the beginning of my endeavour. This is what I am giving to you: the information that I wish I had when I started out.
