I love fantasy! For me it is real. The only reason that fantasy, faeries, or myth lore doesn’t exist anymore is because people have stopped believing in them. My goal, as a writer, is to further inspire the minds and imaginations of children and to rekindle the imaginations in adults.
As a kid, I must have watched Star Wars: A new Hope and Dark Crystal thousands of times. It was movies such as these, as well as the inspiring music of Led Zeppelin, that has pushed the boundaries of my mind to new depths and understanding.
I have come to learn as an author that the characters you create start to become alive in a very real sense. They dream just as you dream and hope just as you hope. They have wills of their own and they have vicarious ways of manifesting their wills and desires when you least expect it. The more I live for my characters, the more they inspire the direction of the books I write.
Some of my hobbies, in the little spare time i have, include people watching. I love to get an ice cream cone or something to drink and sit down on a bench as look at people as they walk, run, or ride on by. I imagine what couples are talking about, or where a child’s imagination is taking them when they look at the sky. I also love to long board and I will occasionally play table top games, MTG, or Frisbee golf with my friends.
