My name is David Andrew Crawford and I was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada but moved to Ontario when I was a child. I studied psychology at Carleton University and then went in pursuit of a degree in Computer Science at Algonquin College until finally settling on web designing and development as a career choice.
Shortly thereafter, my father passed away and I delved back into one of my passions, reading fantasy novels, to help take my mind off the loss of my father. Several years passed and in a passing conversation with my mother, I was urged to write a story about the character I had made as a child playing Dungeons and Dragons. I always dreamed of being an author and bringing to life all the crazy things my mind could come up with. So, I (lost my mind) decided to leave my fulltime job and began writing the story of Dark Solus in my little mobile trailer that had an indoor waterfall (the waterfall being a huge hole in the roof).
On January 27, 2011 my novel ‘Dark Solus An Assassin’s Tale’, the first novel in the Dark Saga Series, was published. It won 3 awards in the Fantasy genre in contests held in the United States. In February 2012 I won 2nd place in the Written Art Awards and in August 2012 I won Bronze in the Readers Favorite. I got notification April 15, 2013 that I won 1st Finalist in the Beverly Hills Book Awards.
I have just published my second novel in the series, ‘Demon Raider The Death Stalker’ and it continues with the Dark Saga series. I already received Honorable mention in a contest that I was not even supposed to enter.
I still live in Canada in the small hamlet of Innisville with my two dogs Ares, the friendly giant and Ariel, the little princess, both five year old Rottweilers.

Rock cairns populate the area known as Buddha Beach at the Cathedral Rock Vortex along Oak Creek in Sedona. There are literally hundreds of tiny hand crafted rock piles, made from rocks and stones along the shore. Buddha Beach is part of Oak Creek where the creek widens and in warm weather people go wading and swimming. People also cross the creek to get to the trails on the other side.

Fire and Storms
The photographs in this book are unique. As a result of fires the summer of 2014 and extreme storms, many of the rock cairns in this book were destroyed. In their place are new ones, but the cairns in this book mostly do not exist. I went back after the fires and storms and was saddened to see so many gone, yet heartened to see so many new and different ones in their place. Truly a living meditation garden of rocks.

Deborah Carney has been a freelance photographer for over 35 years, covering events, weddings and cat shows, in addition to macro and general nature photography. Her cat photographs were published by T.H.F. publications in two of their cat breed books, one about American Shorthairs and the other featuring the Sacred Cat of Burma.
Additionally, as a prolific photographer with an eye for details, she will be publishing a number of books that are photo based with information about the photographs in them. The ability for these photos to now be able to be enjoyed in color on eReaders and eReader apps has inspired her to create a multitude of books on a large variety of subjects.
Her favorite subjects to photograph are butterflies, hummingbirds and macro images of flowers, in addition to wildlife and nature of all kinds. There will be many series of books about nature in general and by species, and wildlife plus beautiful locations that she has photographed.

Hi, my name is Elly Grant and I like to kill people. I use a variety of methods. Some I drop from a great height, others I drown, but I’ve nothing against suffocation, poisoning or simply battering a person to death. As long as it grabs my reader’s attention, I’m satisfied.
I’ve written several novels and short stories. My first novel, ‘Palm Trees in the Pyrenees’ is set in a small town in France. It is published by Author Way Limited. Author Way has already published the next three novels in the series, ‘Grass Grows in the Pyrenees,”Red Light in the Pyrenees’ and ‘Dead End in the Pyrenees.’ It has also recently published my grittier crime novel set in Glasgow, ‘The Unravelling of Thomas Malone’as well as a collaboration of short stories called ‘Twists and Turns’.
As I live in a small French town in the Eastern Pyrenees, I get inspiration from the way of life and the colourful characters I come across. I don’t have to search very hard to find things to write about and living in the most prolific wine producing region in France makes the task so much more delightful.
When I first arrived in this region I was lulled by the gentle pace of life, the friendliness of the people and the simple charm of the place. But dig below the surface and, like people and places the world over, the truth begins to emerge. Petty squabbles, prejudice, jealousy and greed are all there waiting to be discovered. Oh, and what joy in that discovery. So, as I sit in a café, or stroll by the riverside, or walk high into the mountains in the sunshine I greet everyone I meet with a smile and a ‘Bonjour’ and, being a friendly place, they return the greeting. I people watch as I sip my wine or when I go to buy my baguette. I discover quirkiness and quaintness around every corner. I try to imagine whether the subjects of my scrutiny are nice or nasty and, once I’ve decided, some of those unsuspecting people, a very select few, I kill.
Perhaps you will visit my town one day. Perhaps you will sit near me in a café or return my smile as I walk past you in the street. Perhaps you will hold my interest for a while, and maybe, just maybe, you will be my next victim. But don’t concern yourself too much, because, at least for the time being, I always manage to confine my murderous ways to paper.

When J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.

So, as I sit in a café, or stroll by the riverside, or walk high into the mountains in the sunshine I greet everyone I meet with a smile and a ‘Bonjour’ and, being a friendly place, they return the greeting. I people watch as I sip my wine or when I go to buy my baguette. I discover quirkiness and quaintness around every corner. I try to imagine whether the subjects of my scrutiny are nice or nasty and, once I’ve decided, some of those unsuspecting people, a very select few, I kill. Perhaps you will visit my town one day. Perhaps you will sit near me in a café or return my smile as I walk past you in the street. Perhaps you will hold my interest for a while, and maybe, just maybe, you will be my next victim. We spend a lot of time discussing light and various qualities of light – to get a better understanding of shadows!
Ambient Light: This is the light we will be using the most. Here we thoroughly cover what is is and how to work with it! Once we know how to control the light, we can control the shadows that define our shapes and textures.
The Main/Key Light: Before you can learn to master the shadows, you need to understand the light that is making them! Each light source whether it is ambient light or studio light (or both) creates it’s own set of shadows. And it’s own set of problems and opportunities!
Shadows: The shape, position and depth of the shadows – and your mastery of them – is what will turn your photos from dull lifeless “pictures” into something you will be proud to not only put on the wall…but you will be proud to sign them too!
The Fill Light: Here is the key to controlling the depth of your shadows and bringing emotion into your art.
Fixing Problem Areas With (Or Without) Shadows: Every face and every scene has flaws that you can “fix” in your camera. Every subject you shoot wants and deserves to look like a million bucks! It’s your job as a photographer to make that happen.
Glare: Glare in glasses can easily ruin a photo. Plus it’s incredibly difficult to “fix” in Photoshop. Fixing it in camera is really easy once you know how.
You are closer than you think to creating truly amazing photographs that will be the envy of your friends and family!

I’m Dan Eitreim and I worked as a professional photographer running my own photo studio for over 20 years. I’ve never apprenticed or worked for any other photographers. Because of this, I’ve had to learn and develop my photography skills on my own.
My first attempts were dismal to say the least…so I studied, practiced and developed my photo skills and along the way I not only learned how to put the “wow” into my photos, but I’ve also learned how to teach others to do the same!
To that end I’ve compiled a 27 volume series of photo training lessons that I’ve titled: “On Target Photo Training”.

Tina Glasneck, a former criminal and post-conviction paralegal, loves to come up with ways to kill people. Her interest in crime has taken her from the morgue to the prosecution’s office, to sitting at the defense table, helping suspected criminals fight for their freedom.
When the threat of an at-work-massacre could occur in the small law firm, Tina used writing as therapy, and her first book, THOU SHALL NOT, was born.
Tina has participated in her locally offered Citizen’s Police Academy, and in a forensic workshop with the FBI forensic’s team. As a former senior paralegal for a small defense law firm, Tina’s day job made it possible for her to enter several correctional institutions; she assisted in the preparing of defense for criminal matters ranging from the simple charge of petty larceny to first degree murder.
