You can ask tournament fisherman who fish for bass, from North to South and East to West, and they will tell you that you can and will catch bigger bass overall with Jigs than you will fishing with worms. You may not catch as many, but they will be bigger.
Why use Jigs?
Fishing jigs for bass is a finesse type of fishing, it requires more concentration and fishing slower. Many weekend Bass fisherman use their trolling motor and move around the shoreline casting spinner baits at the shore and reeling them back to the boat.
This technique will catch fish, but you can catch a lot more by changing up a few techniques and learning to fish a jig in the right places. It’s not fast fishing, you have to slow down, and you can’t cover as much water, but isn’t the point to catch more fish?

The key to great photography is being able to see things that most people don’t see. My favorite types of photography are landscape, portrait, animals and infrared. I have shot 6 weddings and spent thousands of hours just wandering in different areas, wooded and in the city, looking for great shots.
I have been an avid fisherman since I was a kid. I have had 2 bass fishing boats over the years, but I really enjoy fishing from a kayak. I have a sit inside Old Town and a sit on top Feel Free kayak, and 2 Old Town canoes for going to the Boundary waters wilderness area.
The hardest part about kayak fishing is trying to decide what not to take with me. As with most bass fisherman, I have tons of bass equipment. For some reason I always feel I need to take it all because I may need it. It has made me downsize just to make everything fit.
I spend most of my fishing time trying to find bass. I do enjoy catching nice Pike also, and if I’m looking for a good fish meal, crappies and sunfish can’t be beat. I have caught most types of freshwater fish and a couple of salt water fish. I even caught a 380 pound Bull shark off the coast of Key West Florida in 1985.
I have also been biking and exercising since I was 12 or 13 years old. I also love to read non fiction so I can always keep learning new things. Many of the things I learn, I like to write about.
I hope I can share my knowledge with you and help enrich your life from the things I have leaned over the years. Hopefully I can pass some of that knowledge on to you.
I started writing about 5 years ago and have written several hundred articles for Hub Pages and for Examiner over the years. I write on subjects that I am passionate about, disc golf, photography, fishing, exercise, cycling and topics to deal with christian beliefs.
My father is a retired minister and he has written many books. I have edited 3 of them and have them available on my site. I have also written an Old Testament trivia book and will be writting a New Testament trivia book in the near future.
I have been playing disc golf since 1978 and I love the sport. The greatest thing about disc golf is that at age 57 I am still very competitive and frequently beat players much younger than me. It is also a sport that you can play at almost any age, as long as you can walk.
I have take over 100,000 pictures over the past several years, and I am always trying to improve my photography. My goal is always to take the best shot I can. I want people to say WOW when they see the shots I take. I went through the photography course at NYIP. What I learned from that course was worth every dollar.

Deborah divided The Book of Psalms into five books to make it easier to read and study. Each book contains approximately thirty chapters from the book of Psalms.
Psalm 119 will not be included in The Book of Psalms since Deborah has already published a book about it called: Psalm 119: Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet. The book of Psalms is one of Deborah’s favorite books of the Bible. It is a great book to read if you’re ever feeling down or need to renew your relationship with Christ. King David went through a lot of tough times in his lifetime, but he loved God and trusted God to protect him from his enemies.
The book of Psalms was written by various people. About half of it was attributed to King David, whether they were written by David or for David is questioned by some biblical scholars. Some of the Psalms were written by Asaph and some say they were written for the sons of Korah and even Moses and Solomon were writers of the Psalms. The Psalms consists of poetry that was primarily meant to be used as songs of praise to the Lord.
