My desire is to entertain. I think that a little humor and some slice-of-life situations can really help turn pages, so I incorporate them when I can. Sometimes I use personal experience, but most of it comes out of my head. That scares people close to me. I wonder if they have a point.
Writing the next John Keegan novel has been a bit of a struggle, but my wife prods me enough to give her reading material, so it should be done soon. The voices in my head are there, they just need to be let out. This is a good thing, I think.

Daniella Bova was creative from a young age. She learned to sew by hand and machine, knit, cross-stitch and embroider, all before age ten. Daniella doesn’t remember learning these skills; she believes she picked them up by watching her mother and grandmother. Though painfully shy in school, and only an average student, at home Daniella’s creativity blossomed. This continued through her high school years.
After Daniella married, she and her husband raised two children. Daniella worked a number of part time jobs, but her kids were her main focus until they left home at age eighteen. Working and raising children didn’t hinder Daniella’s creativity; she continued to progress in fiber artistry. In 1995 she turned to quilting, followed by learning to card, dye and hand spin wool. Many art-style quilts decorate Daniella’s home, along with cross-stitched pieces and knitted items.
Daniella had always dreamed of writing fiction. However, she wasn’t able to pursue this creative outlet until her children were grown. Finally, in 2009, Daniella began writing every day. Five years later, in May of 2014, Tears Of Paradox, book one in The Storms Of Transformation Series, was published. Tears Of Paradox received an honorable mention in CLFA’s 2014 Book of the Year awards. The Notice, book two in the series, was published in February of 2015.
Daniella and her husband live in Chester County, Pennsylvania. In addition to writing, Daniella loves reading, running in the beauty of the nature preserve near her home, the Catholic Faith, Classic Rock, Delaware Bay and the Delaware Beaches, and (as mentioned above) any and all forms of textile and fiber artistry.

About the Author:I’ve had an interesting life. I suppose that’s why a couple years ago I started writing. I’ve had an interest about writing and reading since grade school. Growing up, I was a dedicated reader. I read many of the classics, from Moby Dick to the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Grandmother had the full collection of Ernest Hemingway on her bookshelves. I read them all. I was hooked on going to libraries. I’d spend hours browsing the shelves. I read The Count of Monte Cristo, The Odyssey, anything by Jack London. Later in life I became a Tom Clancy fan. As I aged, I realized I’ve seen a lot and done a lot, both good and bad. I thought I might as well write some of it down. I started writing techno thrillers and am now working on writing a long book of memoirs. The book will take some time to write. My life has been unusual, with many twists and turns I grew up as an Air Force brat. As a ten and eleven years old I lived in Japan for 18 months. This was during the Korean War. The war ended in 1953 (not really, a cease fire took place) so my step dad was rotated back to the States. I had no choice, but to return with him. I liked Japan.We weren’t in the States for long. In 1955 we went to Chateauroux, France. We were in France for three years. I hated to leave. I was a high school sophomore, a football star, a big fish in a small pond. How many American teenagers get to walk down the Champs-Élysées and drink Cognac in sports bars? I really liked France.Fast forward a few years and I was attending Georgia Tech part time and working at Western Electric as an Engineering Associate. I was bummed out to get a draft notice. Like Mohammad Ali, I had no quarrel with the yellow man. I thought the war a huge mistake.To beat the draft I joined a Navy Reserve unit located at the Ga. Tech campus. I joined with a good friend who said we should apply for the Seabees. We didn’t know it at the time, but that was like purchasing a trip to Vietnam and being in the field with the Marine Corps. We ended up in the same squad in Vietnam.With all this military stuff going on, it’s no wonder I’ve gravitated toward writing techno thrillers. I guess military life is in my blood. During World War 11 my dad was a Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He didn’t make it. In 1944 the B-24 heavy bomber he was a gunner on was shot down over Germany. By a cruel twist of fate, it was on my second birthday.My writing reflects my military experiences and thoughts about military life. Few wars are necessary. Often they take place by a series of mistakes and miscalculations. Once started there is no good or easy way out. I write about the harm war brings to so many people.I respect the military and military families. They often face great hardship so the majority of the American public can continue with their shopping, driving around, TV watching, overeating, or whatever the current fad may be.I respect few current politicians. Most only play to their base. Since the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, that base narrowed. Now politicians are listening only to those who write a big check. The money men, pandering politicians, and the circle of 1% elite, are the ones who send young men and women to war. I’m sure this lack of respect, and hope for a change for the better, shows up in my writing.But, no way I’m giving up on America. As Winston Churchill once said, “The Americans will always do the right thing… after they’ve exhausted all the alternatives.”

When J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.
