When J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.

It has been said that there are no atheists in foxholes and that may or may not be true, having never been in a foxhole, thank God, I have no way of knowing, but I suspect it is true; if not, I pity the poor atheist the lack of solace otherwise available through a belief in God. One thing is unquestionably true though, that is throughout the world in every culture and throughout history mankind has felt a deep yearning to cry out to something, someone greater than themselves. A desire to pray to one’s creator is common throughout the world. It has been said that there is a vacant space in the soul of mankind that can only be filled by God’s presence. The desire to reach out to God is an echo of our need to fill this void. How this desire is displayed from one culture to the next varies from cultures that practiced human sacrifice to those that believe in the efficacy of using prayer wheels to gain God’s favor. In the passage quoted from Luke 11:1 one of Jesus’ followers asks him to teach them how to pray. It is a straight forward request, but let’s think about this for a moment. It may be safe to say that Jesus’ disciples had been raised in good Jewish families. They were familiar with the Torah, they had learned from the Pharisees in the synagogues since their youth, and at that time that temple worship still took place, and they were familiar with the animal sacrifices and prayers offered in the temple for the sins of the people. Furthermore, they were familiar with the prayers taught by John the Baptist. What more are they seeking and why are they asking Jesus? Because they are his followers, yes of course, but more importantly because they had first hand experience to the effectiveness of His prayers. They had the privilege of witnessing many of the miracles he wrought and they had the privilege of witnessing him pray. The disciples could see with their own eyes the connection between Christ’ prayer life and the effectiveness of His prayers. They wanted to know what he knew that the others didn’t, why His prayers consistently brought results when other’s did not, could not. How did Jesus respond to their request? By blessing them and us with what is now known throughout the world as the Lord’s prayer or the Pater Noster. Which, in fact is the perfect template for us to follow in our daily prayers. Jesus answered them. “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Lead us not into temptation.” Luke 11:2-4 We will discuss this template for prayer in detail later in this book, but at this point I only want the reader to realize that prayer can be more than a primal cry to our creator in times of despair and need, but is a God given means of personal communion with our God. Furthermore, that prayer is something that can be taught, something to be learned, and something that must be practiced, and perfected if we desire to grow in our spiritual life. Prayer is something we must know and a skill we must be proficient in if we expect to reach spiritual maturity.

My job is to get to know these characters, figure out what makes them tick, then follow their journey wherever it takes me.
When I’m not writing, I’m daydreaming. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and son who know I’ll re-join the land of the living just as soon as my muse decides it’s quitting time. I don’t work for myself. I work for her. She’s the boss. And I’m okay with that.

Another thing that I love about sanremo is the beach, from where I live, I can reach the beach by foot in 5 minutes, I can go to the casino by foot in less than 5 minutes and discos in 10 to 20 minutes by foot(depends on what disco you want to go). If you want to go in a bigger city you can reach Monaco in less then 15 minutes by car. There you find all you need, from clubs to hot girls.
And, don’t make me start talking about the food…
when I was a child I was a loner, I always had a best friend cooler then me, that in a point or in another tried to make me socialize more, but I was to shy. Yeah, shy isn’t really the word, was more a fear, I was afraid that the other guys would have armed me in a way or in the other. In this period was always with the girls, and at the end of the primary school I had my first crash, she was really smart, and she still is, and also cute. The last day of the last year I decided that I wanted to see her again, I had a phone, she had a phone, I had to ask her number. She was there sitting composed, and, after having torn a piece of paper with my little hands, I walked to her and said and she, without thinking and with a “you stink” face, replied and I just returned to my place. In the middle school my mother betrayed my father by having a sexual relation with an ugly baker that I used to day-dream of killing. I wasn’t able of doing nothing, from learn to play guitar, or just learn, to socialize, nothing. My care of the other people was as low as my testicles where, but in the high-school I funded funny people that I could connect with,(and the class was full of girls, there where only 4 guys and me, and the class count where 23 or something like that), even if from the outside I seemed an happy guy, dip inside I was really depressed, I used to marinate more than half of the school days and in Italy if you don’t participate to at least the 75% of the lessons you can’t be upgraded, in this way I lost three years of school.

Any way, when I stopped from going to school I was became already a good day-gamer, but my lack of care for the world shows up again and I lost interest about girls in general, it was a period where I learned to memorize a deck of 52 cards in less than 2 minutes and I read more than 20 books in two months, I learned to play he’s a pirate with the violin in a week(I never touched a violin before, I used to play the violin for something like 10 hours per day), but I used to not sleep and not eat properly, cut my wrists, get drunk for no reasons and having panic attacks. When my mother took me to a psychologist I tried to resolve the panic attack thing, ’cause it was the only thing that I thought was to fix, but didn’t helped me so much but at the end I was able to prevent them to happen. I didn’t told him about the fact that I get drunk or the self-harm thing, I still believe that he wouldn’t understand, at a certain point I funded a sort of equilibrium and I noticed that all those things made me grow as a man. I decided what I wanted in my life and started to head toward that life, I started to day-game again and I became really good at it, I’m learning to act (my end goal is to act professionally, that’s also a reason why I don’t use my personal image, except for the body) and learning a new language(even if I speak a little of French ’cause I live near the France and I used to go day-gaming there, I’m studying German). So that was me, I didn’t went too dip in my story because I didn’t wanted to be an horror story but more a motivational one, I wanted to finish this story with “If I got good in game, if I reached the happiness, if I got past that shit, you can too”.

After I wrote Franchising: The Inside Story, I developed a franchise marketing agency that kept me busy for about 30 years. Michener once told me that a great life would consist of teaching at a university and writing a best seller every three years. So far I’ve managed to consistently lead one-half of a great life — I love teaching at Gulf University for Science & Technology in Kuwait. I’m working on the other half of Michener’s formula, and thinking that maybe I’ll resurrect that cold toilet seat story. It’s okay. Sister’s been dead for years.
