Mike Morgan was born in Hounslow, London, a suburb famous for exactly nothing, so he moved to Stoke-on-Trent as soon as he could. At the age of 30, he realized accountancy wasn’t the exciting life he’d anticipated and relocated to Japan. After learning hundreds of Kanji characters, Mike decided to move to Houston, Texas, where they’d be no use whatsoever, so that was time well spent. These days, Mike lives in Iowa with his wife and two young kids.
Most recently, Mike has written for Flame Tree Publishing and The Martian Wave. But he’s also been a contributor to various volumes on Doctor Who, including You and Who 1-3, Shooty Dog Thing 2, Shelf Life, and Drabble Who. Lately, he’s taken up writing about Blake’s 7, with an essay in You and Who Else.
He’s also written a comic strip for the small press comic, Futurequake, and he’s currently a regular contributor to the website WhatCulture.com, with over 1.5 million views to his name. Paola K. Amaras’s entire life has revolved around mythology, legend, and folklore, ever since her grandmother recited fairytales and myths in iambic hexameter and her uncle taught me her to write. She led a group on myth and folklore in high school as well taught about them for CASE University’s Off Campus Studies later on. She received a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University (majoring in Humanities/Classics and Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and minoring in Theater). Joanna Michal Hoyt lives with her family on a Catholic Worker farm in upstate NY where she spends her days tending goats, gardens and guests and her evenings reading and writing odd stories. She acquired the writing habit as a child who didn’t have to go to school, and it hasn’t let go of her yet. C. A. Rowland writes short stories in multiple genres and is currently finishing her first humorous cozy mystery set in Savannah, Georgia. Sammy turned, deciding it was time to leave. “Well, it was nice seeing you again, John. She was horny beyond belief and not thinking straight.
She reached for the doorknob and barely got the door open when he slammed it shut in her face. Sammy spun around, trapped between the door and his body. Her heart skipped a beat as she raised her eyes to his. His expression looked almost fierce, and matched the fire burning in his eyes.
“What are you doing?” Her senses went into overdrive as the warmth of his body enveloped her, threatening to suck her in.
“Where are you going so fast? You just got here.”
He was too close. His warm breath sent a shiver down her spine. “I’m not in a hurry. I only came long enough to visit with the girls again.”
John’s gruff chuckle revealed he didn’t believe her. “You can see my sisters anytime. You expect me to believe that?”
Sammy’s eyes grew round. “If you think I came here to see you then you’re crazy. I’ve spent the last twenty years—” When it dawned on her what she’d been about to say, she cut herself off.
John finished her comment for her, hitting the nail right on the head. “Trying to forget me?” His tone was low and sexier than Sammy remembered. The cockiness of youth was gone, replaced with the firm, deep tone of experience.
Keep it light, Sammy. She tried to laugh off the notion. “You wish!” She put her hands on him to push him away. “Please move.”
“Why? Do I bother you?”
There was no way she was going to show him what he was doing to her. She’d worked too hard pretending she didn’t like him during their brief acquaintance to ruin it now by swooning at his feet.
He leaned in closer. Sammy gasped and tried to shrink back against the door. She kept her hands flat against his chest, trying not to notice how rock hard his pectorals were. Or that his dick was hardening. Their lower bodies were flush and the feel of his erection caused a warm flow between her legs. Sweet Jesus! She was going to jump his bones if she didn’t get out of there soon.
“John, please. I have to go.” Was that panic in her voice? “I should never have come in.”
John grabbed her by the wrists and forced her arms above her head, pinning them against the door. He ignored Sammy’s gasp. “You’ve got that right, baby. You’ve been running from me since we were teenagers. Well, I made myself a promise, Sam. The next time I got you to myself…

The world continues to decay in a methodical, mystifying way. Values erode, conflicts deepen, and society is desensitized to the brutal and relentless suffering of others. On both a global and personal basis, we know it’s true, but nothing can be done to stop it.
How did it come to this?
After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, Zach Randall, a self-absorbed accountant, begins to experience disturbing visions of other people in the act of taking their own lives. Initially dismissing the incidents as mere hallucinations, he slowly begins to suspect there is meaning hidden within each episode.
Struggling in the midst of the most recent punishing vision, Zach is able to see a name and address on a discarded envelop close to the latest dying wretch. After enlisting the aid of his friend and support group leader, Jarad Anston, Randall discovers that the people in his visions are real, and he is voyeur who watches their last moments on earth.
Certain that the visions are mirroring reality, Randall tries desperately to find more information as he is drawn into the grey mists of illusion, hoping that he might somehow intervene and save a doomed soul. However, there is an unexpected episodic encounter with someone—no something—that has its own horrific designs on those about to commit the final act.
A detective in Seattle, a couple street-wise cops in Chicago and Zach Randall begin to put the pieces together to reveal a conspiracy of supernatural horror that will threaten the foundation of humanity. At its source is the ultimate evil; a malevolence that defies explanation.
