To the north, Grateful Dead crooned the night’s theme music at the Nassau Coliseum. Within earshot of the concert, witnesses stated a UFO hovered over the grounds for thirty minutes before vanishing.
At the same time the Cromarty’s were busy hosting their notorious Halloween party at 112 Ocean Ave., better known as the Amityville Horror House. Screams and cries for help were reported throughout the night, punctuated with the disappearance of the family next door. They were never heard from again.
Unknowingly altering the course of history, Kurt Vonnegut released “Jailbird” the same week KISS gained infamy on The Tomorrow Show. The aftermath of this collision would not be felt for decades until the emergence of Justin Bieber.
After a night filled with mayhem and destruction and the deaths of several prominent entertainers, politicians and a notorious bank robber, the Federal government was forced to loan $1.5 billion dollars to Chrysler. This spurred a series of violent protests, resulting in the Brunah Agate oil spill. Over 10.7 million gallons of oil were dumped into the Galveston Bay. This became the worst oil spill disaster in U.S. history.

Brent shouldn’t have reminded her about his hand. The next thing he knew she was biting down on it a second time. Adding insult to injury, she shoved him in the chest as hard as she could at the same time, catching him unaware. Before he had a chance to recover she took advantage of the moment by pushing herself away from the wall and taking flight.
“Damn it!” Brent grunted in anger. She managed to descend one step before he tangled a hand in her hair and hauled her back into his arms. A cry escaped her but Brent ignored it. He yanked her roughly against him. “Bite me again and you’ll find out what it feels like,” he muttered between his teeth.
“Who are you?” she asked softly. Brent felt her slight tremble and steeled himself for what he had to do. “What do you want?”
“One question at a time, princess.” Brent realized he had to assert his dominance early on if he wanted to remain in control of the situation. Not giving much thought to the consequences, he pushed Sophie up against the concrete wall and leaned in close, threatening her with his superior strength and size.
His actions had repercussions he wasn’t anticipating though. Like the rush of heat surging through his blood, turning the victim in his arms into a desirable woman. Wrestling with her provided conditions he hadn’t counted on. Appealing circumstances which could easily upset the scheme of things if he let it.
Too much body contact for one.
“I demand you keep your hands to yourself!” she whispered sharply.
“Do you now?” he said softly, amused at her haughty tone. “You’re not in any position to demand anything.” With every breath Brent took, he could smell her. Beyond the light scent of soap and perfume, to the sensuous woman beneath. A sexy combination of innocence and know-how. It was playing havoc with his senses, preventing him from keeping a clear head. He swore beneath his breath. Nothing good was going to come of this.
She was tall like he liked his women but he wasn’t into rich, spoiled, society types who held themselves above others, thinking they were better than everyone else. He’d watched Sophie long enough to know she was used to the best in life and probably demanded it. A woman who let society rule her emotions, not her heart. He recalled her quiet, almost suffering acceptance of Lord touching and kissing her, putting up with it because it was expected of her and not because she’d liked it. That action alone told him a lot about her.
She was probably as cold as a block of ice in bed.
“I demand you tell me who you are and what this is all about,” she said in a frigid tone, confirming his thoughts.
Her snooty tone grated on his nerves. “Demand all you want, princess, it won’t get you anywhere.” He was glad she’d broken his train of thought. He could care less what she was like in bed and would do well to remember that. What’s more, he doubted her father would appreciate his wayward notions. Brent respected and liked Senator Adams. It was because of that reason alone he was doing this in the first place.
This, meaning kidnapping. So far Sophie was more trouble than he’d anticipated which could cause serious problems down the road. He’d have to watch her like a hawk. It hadn’t taken her long to get the drop on Tom. Well, she’d learn soon enough that he wasn’t a pushover. “Come on.” He yanked her away from the wall.
“Let me go!” She tried to pull free. “Ouch! You’re hurting me! I’m not going anywhere with you!”
Brent swung around and pulled her up against him. “You have a choice, lady; you can come with me the easy way, or like a sack of potatoes over my shoulder.”

You’ll often hear me refer to myself as a grandma who writes smut. I’m simply a mother and grandmother who discovered my passion for writing and story telling at the ripe old age of ten. Before I received my first manual typewriter, with pencil in hand, I would jot my stories down on notebook paper. Later, after receiving that desired typewriter at the age of thirteen I spent hours in my bedroom, where my parents thought I was doing homework. Writing turned out to be a kind of therapy for me, something I didn’t realize until years later.
I was born in Maine, where most of my family still live today in the small town of China. However, most of my life I’ve lived in Florida where I attended school, married and raised my daughter.
Writing is a hobby for me, and even though I’ve retired from Disney it remains a hobby. I’m happy to be just making enough “mad money” from it to be able to keep my cats fed, travel a little, and spoil my grandchildren.
I like to travel. Some of the places I’ve been to are: Greece, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Bahamas, France, and Alaska just to name a few. I don’t like to fly, even before I found myself on a plane on 9/11, but I will if I’m given enough legal drugs. My favorite vacation spot in Florida is St. Augustine.
I love chocolate, who doesn’t? And I’m addicted to good coffee and sweet ice tea. McDonald’s hazelnut iced coffee has been on my favorite list for quite some time. So has Dunkin Donuts mocha iced coffee.
For a while (many years actually) life got in the way of my dreams. A few years ago, with the encouragement of my family, I decided to get serious and I haven’t looked back!

David grew up in the north east of England, where he went on to study English Literature at The University of Sunderland. After graduating, he started to write his first fictional stories, but always felt that to become a truly accomplished writer he would need to significantly broaden his horizons. Therefore, just days after his 27th birthday, he bought a one-way ticket to Sydney, Australia.
He spent 2 years in the land down under and travelled through every far flung corner of the country, earning his keep by taking up jobs doing everything from pruning grape vines to driving tractors. In his spare time he vowed to try every new experience that was offered his way, no matter how crazy. He climbed glaciers, swam with sharks, jumped from aeroplanes and pretty much tried to live life as much as possible.
During his time overseas, he was also fortunate enough to meet the love of his life; Katie. Upon the couple’s return to the UK in 2009, what was originally intended as a birthday present (a travel journal recounting their time in Asia) helped him to rediscover his vocation in life. He has been writing like a mad man ever since.
All of David’s novels are inspired to some extent by his own travels and he writes the kind of books that he would want to read. Far too impatient to spend months waiting for impersonal rejections from literary agents, he decided to publish his work himself. Ultimately, he just wants people to enjoy reading his books as much as he enjoys writing them.

He studied Film-Theatre & TV at Bradford College of Art in the early seventies where he developed a passion for writing drama for screenplay & radio. His third book, Precession came runner up in the 2014 Exeter Novel Prize for unpublished novels.

Anson Welsh was born and raised in the Rhondda Fach, a narrow coal mining valley in South Wales. At the age of ten, after reading ‘Biggles and the Cruise of the Condor,’ he decided that he was going to be pilot and never once changed his mind.
He started flying when he was nineteen and worked as a full-time pilot from the age of twenty-one. He regards his flying career as modest, but it has included work as a glider-tug pilot, a flying instructor, a survey pilot, a flying doctor service pilot in Africa, an oilfield support pilot in Sarawak and as a short-haul airline Captain operating around the UK and Europe. Anson has flown gliders, microlights, light aircraft, turbo-props and jets, and had great deal of enjoyment in the process.
He retired from airline flying in 2012 when he hit the buffers at the age of sixty-five. Though he still does a bit of part-time work as a flying instructor and also flies, strictly for fun, an Aeronca Chief that he part owns.
Anson is married with three grown up children, three grandchildren and one step-grandchild. When not playing with aeroplanes he enjoys long walks on the moorland near his home in Devon, UK., and along the Cornish coast. Author Bio:
Anthony Hogger is 57 years of age and grew up in the east-end of London. He had no formal education, leaving school at 15 with no qualifications other than I could be an expert nuisance. He always loved reading though and enjoyed writing essays.
I began writing about ten years ago, wrting a couple of very bad horror stories. Then, I took an online creative writing course with The London School Journalism. My tutor gave me much encouragement, stating that she believed I had a “raw talent the needed nurturing”. I suppose, to paraphrase, the rest is history.
