These signs that you’re moving into the next phase of your life can be unnerving. These signs can start as early as the mid-thirties for some and for others not until after 50. When the signs initiate, you don’t notice them much. In fact you ignore them but fate brings you back to reality in the most hostile manner. One day when you’re looking in the mirror expecting to see that pretty young thing, the one that often triggered a whistle, a stare or an inappropriate comment from the opposite sex, instead, you’re staring at a fully grown woman who looks a lot like her mother. One thought will keep going through your mind, “When did this happen?!”
Ageing has to take place and so it will, but the main question is what are you doing to keep these natural effects of the process in check? You must do something to remain as close to your younger counterpart as you can. I’m not telling you to do something drastic, but in order to continue living a healthy and attractive life, there are many things that you should consider. You’re skin care, your diet, your habits; everything that has a direct effect on you and your body.
My aim is not to depress you, maybe just wake you up a bit. In fact, the event of moving into this phase can be a beautiful occurrence, something to celebrate and be radiant about. At least that is what we are all told! It means you have successfully crossed the half-way point on the bridge of life. I did say my aim is not to depress you, didn’t I? Seriously, if you take some steps now, it really won’t be a big deal. In fact, you can look in the mirror and marvel how well you look. The key is to start NOW.

Stefan completed Basic Law Enforcement Training. As an investigative reporter for the Washington Daily News, he rode several nights a week with the k-9 unit sergeant.
