With the cold of the vacuum creeping into his bones, the old man may well be seeing out his last days.
But while he is aware of the dangers without, he ought to start paying attention to the dangers within.

Total freedom surrounding a dead-end town.At birth, the doctors screamed along with the cries of the infant, unsure what they were seeing was real or a dream.
But it was real.
The infant was taken away, hidden away from sight and treated like a criminal.
In between whiskey shots and handfuls of NSAIDS, the adult child began to see things in the dark. Visions of a sort, accompanied by whispers that grew louder and louder as flashes became longer.
The child’s pleas for an end fell upon deaf ears. All he could do, with pen and paper, was listen to the whispers and write down what they wanted said aloud.
