I was born in Glasgow, Scotland three days after “D” day to parents from the Channel Islands, who evacuated to Glasgow to escape the German occupation of the islands. We returned to the islands after the war, and in 1949 we pulled up stakes and moved to Bolton, Lancashire.In 1963, when I was 19, I emigrated to Canada by myself.
After a mini-lifetime in the corporate sector (20 years in Finance and Accounting) I retired to the country, only to return to the workforce one year later with a First Nations band in a remote location in the N.W.T. I was unfulfilled and bored in retirement and so set off on an adventure to find the personal fulfilment I so craved. The First nation spirituality, culture, and way of life so influenced me that it dramatically changed the direction of my life from that point on.
When I came out of the north, I did a couple of management consulting contracts in Yellowknife, NWT and Kugluktuk, Nunavut, and then headed overseas as a volunteer org. development advisor with CUSO International -two years in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a couple of weeks in Nigeria, and two one-year placements in Kingston, Jamaica and Georgetown, Guyana.

Pictarine Nebbie loved her parents but not her name; she prefers Pic.
Pic and her best friend/cousin, Dar, run an employment agency. Pic meets the most marvelous man, Mason Jump. He and Pic fall deeply in love, meet each other’s families, and marry weeks after meeting.
After a freak accident, while lying in a coma, she is given an out-of-body ability to transfer from one pair of eyes to another and eventually lands as a little girl’s Barbie doll’s eyes. The little girl, Emma, and her parents end up on a plane with a terrorist on board.
This is a really first rate story with a unique plot that flows well from beginning to end. It offers romance and then adventure that will keep the reader enthralled until story’s ending. It is well-edited, extremely well-written with believable characters who hold true throughout the story. A wide number of readers will enjoy this.

A note from Michelle:In the past, I’ve suffered from post apocalyptic stress syndrome while writing 5 Blanks, recovered an ancient artifact and destroyed the wickedest city in the world using a pair of star-crossed lovers in Chest of Souls, recovered Christmas by unearthing the forgotten love story of the Klauses, and, in Pic Jump, saved a little girl from a terrorist organization armed with nothing but a Barbie head and a woman in a coma. Oh, and I helped a woman find true love and solve her own murder in Hallows Gate.
People ask how I do what I do. Simply put: I LOVE what I do. I thrive on the written word! By the time you read this, I’ll be working (and sometimes arguing) with awesome new characters to turn upside down (or inside out), spinning more plots to weave into their lives and planting subplots to harvest when they aren’t looking.
I’m currently at work on the third prequel to my Epic fantasy, Chest of Souls. Title: Said In Stone. As you read this, I’m being haunted by Masters of Lightning, never-say-die ghosts, and Roses with attitude.
Writing these books has been a long and miraculous (sometimes mental), journey.
