Thus, the unseen battle pits money against money. Eventually, a rookie agent named Jeremy Wade tracks down Ms Hollister’s accomplice who holds the missing piece to the Elmer Kane, murder mystery.
The story jumps from yesteryear to today, and unfolds in typical Keyes’ fast clip fashion. Who Dun It fans will know up front who did it. Few will figure out how it was done.

Earning an Honorable Discharge, he was released from active duty in 1992.B. MICHAEL FETT was involved in the sport of bodybuilding at a very early age claiming to have received his first weight set in the third grade! He began to compete as a teenager finally winning his division at the Mr. Teenage Iowa in 1985. He went on to compete for the Marine Corps winning his division at the Armed Forces Championships in 1991. Fett continued to compete after his release from active duty earning the title of two-time nationally qualified, but was forced into early retirement after back to back knee surgeries. He began his aviation career outside of the military as a mechanic for a major airline based in Washington D.C. He soon realized that this wasn’t the career he wanted so in 1999, he obtained his private pilot license and began the long road to becoming a commercial airline pilot.Fett was left homeless and financially destitute after the terror attacks of September 11th, 2001. His story of perseverance and determination to get his life back together was detailed in his critically acclaimed bio titled Beautiful Hardship, My Story. So it is with Dr. Harmony Lane. In her single-minded obsession to cure her patients, she cuts corners and treats a desperately ill woman with an experimental viral vector provided by an unscrupulous research scientist. While he shares her impatience, he cares nothing for her humanistic sensibilities. She uses a similar vector on her patients with autoimmune diseases.
While the vector has remarkable curative properties, it soon becomes clear that it has devastating and lethal side effects.
The race is on to cure or at least control the vector before it kills again.
