I never intended to be a writer. Short-order cook, security guard, safety officer, childcare provider, and teacher were all titles I’d worn – but never writer. Then I entered an essay contest for “The Worst Vacation Ever” and won. Writing became my new hobby, and soon I had several articles in print with local publications. This was followed by a short story, The Khaki Pants, which was published by RDR Publishing in an anthology that went on to sell over a million copies.

Timiarah Camburn was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Willingboro, New Jersey. She spent most of her childhood excelling academically in public and private schools. She was a rather sickly child, suffering with asthma, severe allergies, and depression through her teenage years. She did not participate in the usual high school events, as she was always either too shy, too sick, or too restricted to do such.
From the time that she was a young child, Timiarah always enjoyed writing. She would write comical short stories and draw pictures for the people in her class. She also wrote poetry and music in her spare time.
As an adult, Timiarah suffered a great deal of abuse. She had run-ins with some of the world’s finest jerks. She has made it through emotional, verbal and physical abuse, abandonment, and just plain being jerked around. She has been through a failed marriage several times and has decided to hang up her hat on that aspect of life.
Timiarah had various jobs in several of the famous Atlantic City Casinos. She was a cashier and then a banker. She has also worked for some of the largest cell phone companies in the United States, and a few of the small ones too. She has been a successful salesperson and a pretty good do-it-all girl. She found great pleasure in working for the casinos and cell phone companies, but she decided to take a break from the corporate world when sales jobs and failed attempted corporate ladder climbs became too stressful.
Timiarah suffers with bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She has also been known to have a bit of a codependency issue. She is currently receiving care for her ailments and working independently as a content writer, website designer, and creator of various other written works. She does well for herself, but she is still not exactly where she wants to be.
In 2009 or so, Timiarah released her first music CD. In 2010, she released her second CD. After a failed attempt to succeed in the music world, Timiarah stopped making music so much, and she is currently on a hiatus from such. Her recent works include a song entitled “Right in the Thong”, which was produced by Shag Stevens. The song was a remake of a song she wrote sometime between 1994 and 1999. Other than that, she has not been working on music lately.
Timiarah hopes to touch the lives of many people with her work. Her style is honest and sincere, which is something that she feels the world does not have enough of. She hopes that she can somehow inspire someone else in the world with her experience, her strength and her knowledge. If not, then maybe just a little smile.

My name is David. This book is my true story!

I’m a simple guy from Prague in Czech Republic. That’s in Central Europe – a young country that has been under communists until 20 years ago, when we got our independence.

I’m 28 years old now and my world view has always been projected towards the west, not east. Towards the modern and free, not socialist and limiting. Luckily I lived in a family where these values were encouraged and nourished. Open mindedness, optimism and hard work are the values that I developed throughout my childhood.

I’ve been told I am cute, but I don’t always believe it. Sometimes I look in the mirror and see a real hunk. Then there are times I think I look strange – big pointy nose and chin, uneven ears and a skinny body, especially my legs. But I have been working out regularly for some time so I’m quite fit. I’m hairy, but keep my body hair trimmed short. It’s a sexy look if you are into that.

Less clear-cut is my love life; I don’t know if I have ever been in love. It’s a strange feeling to admit to yourself at 28 years old that you have probably never experienced romantic love. I mean I have had some nice people in my life, people that I really cared about and still do to this day, but I’ve never really felt in love.

My relationship with Dominic had lasted for five years. Had I loved him? Unfortunately, if I’m totally honest with myself, I have to admit – no. During the relationship, those feelings were complicated. Now that I was free, it was clear. I had not loved him. Did I care about him? Of course I did! I missed him a lot when we broke up. But after five years, you would miss anyone. People get used to each other, comfortable in the routine, even if the love is lacking.

After five years of relationship, my heart seemed to scream… Freedom! He loved me, and I knew that, I felt that! He wore his heart on his sleeve. While I felt, and knew I needed to be, free, I felt bad for hurting him by breaking up. He was so nice to me, very caring and generous, taking care of me whenever and wherever I needed.

One thing in our relationship did not work: sex. Our libidos were completely different – I needed sex often, he needed it very rarely. I was so horny, I felt I was going crazy. No amount of flirting or sensual touch could turn him on; nothing would make him give me what I wanted: for him to rip my clothes off and take me passionately.

After some time I gave up trying to seduce him and discovered the vast world of online porn. I enjoyed watching hardcore porn. But then I found the live cam scene and discovered I loved jerking off on a live cam stream with people watching me. During that time when I would get turned on and jerk with other guys online, I lost all sexual interest in Dominic. He did not even make me hard anymore. Now I was used to a hot guy from Brazil or that hung stud from the Machofucker movie getting me aroused. Sad, but true: I stopped trying with Dominic, and for some time, my newly discovered online porn world was enough to satisfy me. My new ‘sex’ life didn’t last for long though.

We didn’t cheat on each other and we didn’t look for threesomes. Though I was willing to experiment with that, Dominic was strongly against it. So sex, or the lack of it, became a big problem in our relationship – the problem that broke us up. I was feeling unhappy and unsatisfied to the point I could no longer take it and so I ended the relationship. Sometimes the best solution is also the hardest, the most painful. I was in my best years and was aching to be sexually satisfied. Dominic was not the person to do that anymore. So that was that.

I made a profile on an online dating site only three days after the break-up. I was ready to have real, hot fun with guys! Now I was free to do it; I was free to let go, to find someone real, to bring my love life out of the virtual world and into the flesh!

Very soon I started to plan a holiday. For the first time in five years, I was free to go wherever I wanted, to follow my own agenda. Visions of a journey across the USA captivated my imagination. I wanted to explore new places, meet new people and have a lot of fun. I wanted to go alone so I could have the whole time for myself. It was, after all, a celebration of my freedom. It would be my great adventure for the year.

After planning an itinerary and buying the tickets, I waited impatiently for the date of departure!

It finally came and my adventure began… This book is a diary from that trip. Have fun!

I had that dream again last night, the one with the little girl. Only this time her dress was red; bright red, crimson red, blood red.

As usual, she was standing on a barren strip of ground. Above her, suspended impossibly in mid-air, was that same round, large clock with its white face and its two startlingly black hands. In the dream I tried as hard as I could to see the time on the clock, but as always I was not able to do so. Then, just as the little girl’s dark eyes bored directly into mine, I woke up in a cold sweat.

Thus begins the tale of Rages of the Night, a metaphysical/visionary novella. The story is that of a lone solider who, when critically wounded in the chest during a fierce battle, finds himself in a sort of purgatory between life and death, only he doesn’t know it.

In his sudden and suspended state that begins in that fleeing instant of imposed twilight when he feels himself dying, he remains the same inside,. So that his external reality and challenges are all just as before. He is in the same war torn country, still fighting and fleeing the same enemy.

The only difference is the supernatural little girl who befriends him; a ragged and starving enemy child who leads him through the many dangers and rages of this odd and difficult journey, who leads him through his personal rages of the night, who leads him safely at last through this harsh purgatory. Until, finally, with her help, he escapes a hell of his own making and comes away with a deeper understanding of sacrifice, of love, of the need and the glory of peace.

Alice Jane West lay on the lumpy mattress and tried to find a comfortable position. Her back ached from the weight of the baby inside of her. She tossed and turned and the baby kicked hard in her tummy. Despite the discomfort, she smiled and laid her hand on the mound that was the new life growing fast. As if the baby knew, she was thinking about him the kicks became stronger and right underneath her hand. It was a wonderful feeling.

Charlie Worked Hard

Alice thought that she was lucky. She had Charlie and soon they would be a family of three. Charlie had the job in the mine and it was badly paid but at least they could be together and work for a better future. Charlie worked hard but it was heavy work and dangerous. The pay was meagre for the workers but the mine owner lived in luxury. It was the way of the world and nobody thought to question it.

The One Room

In the rise of the mining industry, rows of houses quickly built and rooms rented out to the mining families. Alice and Charlie lived in the one room. It had an open fire with a mantelpiece where Alice displayed a few precious trinkets. The bed where she lay was in one corner. One window looked out on a cobbled yard.

Charlie came in from outside and came over to the bed. “I’m off to work. Will you be alright or will I go and ask Mary Ann to come and sit with you for a bit?” he said, bent, and kissed her forehead.

“I’ll be fine. Don’t you worry?”

Alice told him. “I’ll rest for a little while and then have a walk outside.”

Charlie ran his hand over her hair and said. “See you later then.” He picked up his packet of sandwiches and left for the mine.

Alice sat up and looked at the room. She sighed and pulled herself to her feet leaning backwards and putting her hands on her hips for support. She tidied the bed and washed the cups and plates they had used. The water was in a bucket and carried in from one tap outside that everyone in the houses shared. She wiped the table over, wrung out the cloth and went to empty the bucket on the cobbles. She looked down the row and thought about a little walk down to see Mary Ann but went back inside and lay on the bed. She did not know how long she had been sleeping when there was a knocking at the door. She struggled to get up and went to see who it was. They received very few visitors.

Outside was a small stooping man with a coal dust covered face and his clothes. He was wringing his hands. The man stuttered, over the words he was trying to say. Alice clutched her throat with her hands. “Something’s happened. Something terrible.” she said and he nodded.
